My name is Jenny Taylor and I coordinate the bookings.
Peter and I live in Anglesey, North Wales
Peter and I own Casa dell'Ovest and Rod and Jo (our friends) own Casale dell'Est.
Rod and Jo live in Cheshire.
The picture is of my two daughters, my eldest grandchild with Peter and myself in the centre enjoying a BBQ in July 2015.
Jenny Taylor purchased this villa in 2009
We purchased Casa dell' Ovest and Casale dell'Est with our friends Rod and Jo Hogarth when Il Pino was first developed.
We chose our plot for the house south facing with wonderful views of rolling countryside. We decided rather than share the whole house we would divide the property into two, thus having a west and east wing.
It is wonderful seeing your house being built, making all the decisions.
We each have our own gardens, patios and entrances. The interiors are very similar but not exact copies. We had fun choosing furniture sometimes buying the same items such as the sofas and dining tables, but also making each our own home.
Cortona is a wonderful hill-town and we love that we can visit so many interesting places easily and we are still discovering new restaurants after all these years, plus revisiting our favourites.
We all love Tuscany the scenery, the food, the friendly people we meet and the alfresco lifestyle.
We have found sharing very useful, we can go together both families or use both wings for special gatherings for each family. We also go several times just to our own house and find meeting new people by the pool interesting but not intrusive.
We love to share the seasonal fruit in the orchard near the pool.
We enjoyed your villa so much last year we would like to come again, if you have availability.
Dates are July 30th to August 13th.
Could you let me know.
Rental rates are the same for each wing. A payment of 30% of the holiday cost is required at the time of booking. The balance is payable 2 months before the start of the holiday. A security deposit of 350 Euros is payable on arrival at the start of the holiday. The security deposit will be returned once the house has been checked and the keys returned.
Our stay at Casale dell 'Est turned out to be a holiday full of laughter, fun, great food and wine, in a beautiful home away from home.
The house went beyond our expectations with every comfort taken care of. From the well equipped kitchen, lovely dining room, comfortable sitting room. Spacious en suite bedrooms. All this with AC. You can tell it has been lovingly put together by the owners.
We will return!
I have been to Casale dell'Est on four separate occasions. The villa is spacious, well equipped, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Every little thing has been thought of by the owners to make your stay special. The outside terraces and gardens are stunning and I have enjoyed many an evening sitting under the jasmine covered pergolas,, sipping a glass of wine, watching the amazing sunsets and beautiful fireflies. I am returning to Casalle dell' Est again this year and I am sure this visit will not be my last. Truly memorable. Mrs L Manchester
I'm just writing an update to our stay at il Pino last year, because we loved it so much we have just booked it again for this summer. This will be the first time we have as family ever gone back to the same venue ( and we have had some great holidays over recent years ). The facilities, inside ( wifi, aircon, kitchen ) and outside are excellent. We had the pool to ourselves 90% of the time, as it is only shared with the other attached villa. The location is within 10 minutes drive of a number of very good places to eat and for basic shopping; and Cortona is easy to visit for an evening out. Can't wait until July!
A spacious, charming and beautiful Villa in private grounds with a large secluded pool. The villa exceeded expectations and provided a marvellous base for exploring the area. The house is ideal for families or as in our case a group of friends with 4 good bedrooms each with its own bathroom.
The gardens are lovely with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and the pergola provides an ideal spot for alfresco dining. Cortona is in easy reach for restaurants, bars and shopping and if you can tear yourself away from the pool and gardens ,Arrezo, Montepulciano and the delights of Tuscany are an easy day trip.
All in all this villa lives up to its billing and I would wholeheartedly recommend it, particularly for groups and families. I look forward to returning.
A group of friends took the opportunity to soak up some sun and drink in the ambience of late September in Tuscany.
Tuscany did not disappoint, nor did the Villa Casa del Est.
The villa is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It was very clean and well maintained.
The views from the villa are stunning and the pool, though private and secluded also has wonderful views.
The gardens are well tended and there is plenty of room for children to play safely.
Situated in the centre of Tuscany the villa is a perfect base to visit the famous hill towns. Our visit to Arrezzo which included the frescoes of Piero della Francesca in San Francesco, ( which were used in the film the English Patient), followed by lunch in the Piazza Grande, was just wonderful.
I will recommend this property to all my friends and family
We rented the Villa 'Est for one week with our extended family. The description of the villa was accurate and the property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking utensils and pots and pans. We were pleasantly surprised with the grounds surrounding the villa. The photos on the website are outdated and the landscape surrounding the villa is lush and developed. We had views of sunflower fields and rolling hills. Every night we had dinner outside. The private pool was extremely nice and much needed in Tuscany in July. The small villages nearby were an easy drive to pick up groceries. We had many day trips to local towns such as Cortona, Siena and Montepulciano. They were all between 30 minutes and 60 minutes from the villa. We would recommend this property to friends and family and we hope to return in the future.
