Overlooking the 11th hole, fairways & lake.

This tastefully decorated apartment consists of an open plan living and dining area, two bedrooms (with twin beds in each), one bathroom-bath suite with shower (and hair-dryer) and fully fitted galley kitchen.

Bed linen and towels are supplied. Accommodates up to six people (with guest sofa bed) but is ideally suited for four. There is a furnished and covered south facing terrace with a garden area.

Air-conditioning keeps you cool whilst central heating will keep you snug and warm. For entertainment there is satellite television (British & others), wireless unlimited internet, DVD and CD player.

The nearest pool is one of the largest on the resort and is a mere thirty seconds away.

There are also many safe play areas for children with seating for adults.

What makes this apartment unique

Hacienda Riquelme is a luxury golf resort constructed on one of the oldest country estates in Murcia. What makes Hacienda Riquelme stand out from the rest is the low building density and wide open spaces which create an unbeatable peacefulness. The backdrop of distant mountains has to be seen to be appreciated.

Hacienda Riquelme has been developed around a splendid 18-hole, par 72 golf course designed by the golf master himself, Jack Nicklaus. This Nicklaus Design course is much different from the others in the Nicklaus Golf Trail, a group of six golf courses that make up Europe´s best golf offering. It is the largest of the Polaris World courses with a total area of 1,353,041 m². All green areas, apartments and communal services are within a protected perimeter.

We had a brilliant stay at the Hacienda Riquelme during the x-mas 2012. Everything is nice and tidy, people very friendly, apartment well equipped (although we missed our wi-fi internet!!:-)) Nice restaurant and supermarket. Great golf course. The area is very beautiful and there are lots to see. 9 out of 10 days with pure sun. San Javier 20k from H.R. are a nice shopping city as are Cartagena. James was easy to deal with and we can highly recommend this apartment. Cheers James!! Regards from the Iskovs of Denmark.

A very relaxing holiday

We stayed in this two bedroom apartment for 4 weeks. The apartment was very stylish and comfortable and was on the ground floor with a patio and small garden which gave access to the larger communal garden beyond. It was only a 1 minute walk to the large swimming pool and only a short walk to one of the children's play parks, restaurant, bar and supermarket. It is very close to the small town of Sucina where there are a few restaurants, a couple of shops, bank and Church.

We found James (the owner) very helpful both when booking the holiday and providing extra bedding when our family stayed with us for the final week of our holiday.

We would certainly recommend this to our friends.

We will be back

I don't really want to write this as I don't want too many people staying at this fab place. We stayed for 2 weeks in February and it was soooo peacefull. Lots to do and see. The apartment was great. Had breakfast on the terrace a few mornings in the sun. Lovely and clean and warm in the evenings. For us best golf complex to stay on in the area and one of the best placed apartments on the complex. Will definately be booking with James again.

A lovely stay at a good price

My family and I stayed in the apartment for a week in September and had a wonderful time. Sunny every day.

The apartment was well furnished and had everything we needed (my partner loved the hair straighteners etc).

The kids could just go out to the gardens via the patio. This was the deciding factor in us making the booking as well as the very competitive pricing.

On a couple of occasions we ate out in the local town of Sucina and can recommend the Indian, the fish & chip shop & the cafe in the town square. Another gem we discovered was the Country Bowls Bar & Restaurant where you can have a roast on Sunday (beer inclusive!) not to mention a game of crown green bowls!

Thanks for a lovely week and we hope to be back in 2010!

Murcia's main attraction is the Mar Menor. This 'little sea' is a lagoon separated from the shore by a long strip of land - La Manga. The calm, shallow waters are ideal for bathing. The temperature of the Mar Menor is 5º C warmer than that of the Mediterranean.

The nearby fantastic ancient city of Murcia, built on the banks of the Segura river, is thought to be one of the most beautiful and historic in the country.

Golf: Ample fairways are combined with hard to approach greens and bunkers ready to complicate your game. All this in a wonderful open surrounding with wild flowers, olive trees and large lakes.

The 18 holes thoughtfully combine every type of distance and challenge designed to constantly push you and to make use of all your resources and talent. The course has a practice area so that the less advanced players can perfect their swing and improve their game.
