My beautiful apartment is available and I've just had it furnished. My apartment is a true two bedroom apartment. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and the couch in the living room converts into a sleeper for one adult. Everything is modern and quite comfortable. Pre-war era building. Original re-exposed brick, beams its beautiful. Perfect location and fully furnished. Includes wifi, cable, linens, towels etc.
The neighborhood is fantastic about 50 feet from the subway, Whole Foods is around the corner and there is plenty to do within walking distance. There's literally everything around you, grocers, bars, restaurants, landmarks, paths, views, history, the neighborhood is amazing.
I may be flexible for arrival or departure times however must be coordinated prior to arrival.
Discounts available for extended stays.
Everything, and please be careful with electronics.
Interaction with Guests
minimal, available if something goes wrong.
Regarding my first review. I greatly appreciate constructive reviews as they help improve the experience for my guests.
-New linens have been purchased. I garauntee clean and fresh linens for all check ins.
-Sofa has been cleaned (there were stains from a spilled drink) and I am planning on replacing with a larger nicer sofa bed
-Noise. This is NYC so there will be some noise. The cozy cafe had a single special event and the entire neighborhood spoke to the owner of the cafe regarding noise. Consider noise issue resolved.
To my guests. I work hard to deliver you an excellent apartment to enjoy the city. If upon your arrival there is anything out of place or missing do not hesitate to let me know. I will do everything possible to insure you have a good stay.
I'm a hardworking and friendly New Yorker. I love to host guests and find pleasure in helping people get to know my wonderful city. I transplanted to NYC about 10 years ago and fell in love with the city the moment I arrived.
Brand new renovation and you're in the heart of the city. Historical neighborhood made me fall in love with the whole place.
The owner was professional to work with and quick to respond to questions. The local contact, for getting the keys, was helpful and available for anything we needed. The apartment was very clean and tidy. The beds were extremely comfortable and are memory foam and you get plenty of feather pillows. I would definitely stay here again!
The apartment was cozy. It was in a good location with enough space for 4 guests. The beds were very comfortable. I'd give 5 stars but the heat wasn't working in one of the bedrooms.
Apartment was clean and exactly how pictured. Beds were comfortable. Location was great - close to Subway and in a "local" part of town. Would highly recommend.
Apartment was super convenient to everything; grocery, transit, cafes, small park is ajacent, etc. It was nice to stay in Manhattan for a reasonable price. We definitely saved on transportation costs and time.
Beds and pillows were super comfortable. A recommendation, not a complaint: it would be nice if the large bedroom had a king sized bed, there is more than enough room.
Hosts were good communicators, responsive and accommodated our later arrival.
Kitchen had a decent amount of plateware, cookware , etc. but no extras i.e. containers for leftovers or Saran Wrap, toaster, sugar/salt packets, platters, strainer.
The only real complaint we had was that the living room space wasn't set up so that all 4 of us could comfortably sit together or watch tv together. The love seat, which is very low to the ground and slips apart while sitting on it, fits 2 people who know each other plus there are 2 (maybe 3- I can't recall) wooden bar stools in the space, which are great for eating at the counter but not so great for watching TV. Effectively the living room chair combination doesn't allow for 4 people to do the same activity together at the same time i.e eat, play cards, read, watch TV, etc.
Other people commented on the street noise. From our experience, the front/large room is above a restaurant/bar and so we could hear people talking on the street but it was easy to block out the noise mentally or with our own music or earplugs. The back room was above a gated park that closed at night making that room super quiet.
Would I stay there again? Yes!
We rented Edard's 2 bed, 1 bath apartment for 1 week (between 2 couples) at the end of September 2016. Our friends arrived first and had no issues getting access to the apartment. We arrived the next day and were overall met with what we expected. When you enter the building, it looks old, worn out and grungy but the apartment is in much better status. The pictures do make the apartment look better than it really is. It's much smaller in person. The salon/living room is really tiny and smack dab in the entry way. The couch needs to be replaced. It's stained and old and doesn't provide seating for even 2 people comfortably. The kitchen was nice and updated but it would have been nice to have coffee stocked. I thought that was poor. The basics/staples would have been a good touch. The beds were SUPER comfortable! The principle bedroom is huge and the second bedroom is more than comfortable size wise, but know that it is off the living room with sliding class doors and curtain. The bathroom is the worst part of the apartment. It is tiny!!! It has a half sink under and tub is shallow. Although it looks like it was redone in the last couple of years, there is black mold around the white subway tiles and the fan barely extracts the steam so it feels old.
The area is convenient to launch from. Close to metro and Broadway/Houston. It's walking distance to China town/Little Italy and Soho, just know that its a bit of a walk but easy enough for those that are up for it. The street itself isn't the nicest and personally I didn't think much of East Village but I would recommend staying here for the price point and overall convenience.
The apartment was actually bigger than I expected. Who says that about a New York apartment? Still cosy, but the layout worked very well for us. The bedrooms are on opposite ends, great for separation from the teenagers on different sleep schedules than my own! The pull out couch is not a very good option for anyone adult sized. It would be great for a kid, but one of my daughters ended up sharing my bed rather than sleeping on it again.
Easy subway access to F train which took us most places we wanted to go. Whole Foods is around the corner to stock the fridge. Kitchen is great for breakfast, coffee and snacks, but not really condusive to cooking suppers (limited cooking supplies - one fry pan, 3 pots and no baking sheets) no toaster - we used the broiler for bagels. :)
The neighbourhood worked for us and felt comfortable, a great launching point for our adventures. The price was a bit more than an average hotel, but worth it for the space and conveniences it offered.
Had Fernan's cell and text had him arrive when our shuttle did. He was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.
You'll have the entire east village and Manhattan available to you and within walking distance. My neighborhood is very convenient to landmarks and many attractions.
