My apartment is a great place to stay. There are hardwood floors in the common areas, and bedroom, the kitchen is clean, nice sized area to eat/table and ceramic flooring, with modern appliances, fridge, and dishwasher. The apartment is on the 1st floor of an elevator building, and a beautiful large park is only a block away (fantastic for resting, lounging, enjoying the outdoors and for kids). The space is beautiful and spacious, plenty of light and a true (good) NYC experience.
The living room is spacious and has a very solid and comfortable modern sofa bed (suitable for 2 adults). The living room has a large flat screen t.v. with cable and plenty of space for everyone to hang out. The bedroom is large and is very comfortable with a high end mattress (suitable for 2 adults), closet and windows, flat screen etc. The bathroom has a full bath/shower and is clean.
All linens, towels, cooking/eating utensils, utilities, WiFi are all included. I can even have maid service if you like to take care of linens while you stay (additional charge). Basically just bring your bags and get ready to enjoy the city.
This apartment provides most importantly a true New York city experience, not a white-washed experienced you'd get in Mid-town.
If you're vacationing you don't want to waste time just getting to the subway or taking a cab to get you somewhere, you want to simply walk out of the building and be in the heart of NYC. The subway is close by. To say the least this is a gem of a place in the east village
I may be flexible for arrival or departure times however must be coordinated prior to arrival. Car service can be provided for an additional charge, a driver will meet you at the airport and will take you right to the apartment.
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.
I'm a hardworking and friendly New Yorker. I love to host guests and find pleasure in helping people get to know my wonderful city. I transplanted to NYC about 10 years ago and fell in love with the city the moment I arrived.
Simply put this apartment is in a fantastic location. A true one bedroom apartment and on the first floor (raised above street level) and a great base for touring/visiting the city.
Apartment walls are thin and construction on both side. 6am came quickly with jack hammering. Fortunately we weren't in NY to sleep. Central location and walking distance to coffee and bars.
Place small but you have everything you need location very good and price reasonable in the morning you do not need alarm because construction people very noisy
it's a great place to stay if you're going to explore NYC the subway is relative close, brooklyn bridge, soho, financial district, china town, little Italy! everything was clean! good tv and cable. the only thing is missing is a microwave. Instead the location and apartment is good. Don't expect a luxurious one!!! because isn't the case! the area is quiet, also the building 😊👍𣐠definitely i'll be back!
The property was exactly what we expected. The neighbourhood looks sketchy but we never felt unsafe.
We went out for 99% of our meals so I can't really comment on the kitchen.
The bathroom was huge. Wifi is a huge bonus and it worked well.
But the bed. Oh my gosh the bed. It was like sleeping on a cloud! Didn't matter if we had an 8 hour sleep or a 3 (Due to the amazing bars nearby), we always felt so rested and never sore. Seriously. The bed makes this place awesome.
Fernan, the landlord was also very nice. He is a quick 10 minutes away if you need anything and he made sure he explained wifi/ tv and any questions we had before he left us to it. He was available by phone everyday though we didn't need to call.
We also spent a good solid day exploring the area and thrift shopping. There is so much to see in the Lower East Side and we probably could've spent our whole 4 days just there.
It's a quick walk to the subway and lots of good food and shops nearby.
I would definitely rent this place again and highly recommend it to anyone else.
Following out our comments about the apartment in East Village, from Sept 24 thru Oct 7, the only thing we were satisfied with was the A/C, the stove, the shower , the TV and the WIFI . Our complaints are:
1.- The worst thing was having workers every day in the building right next to our apartment making noise since early in the morning. Having noisy neighbors almost every night right outside our apartment.
2. All kinds of garbage and construction debris were thrown into a big container right in front of the window. As you can see the noise was unbearable.
3. The first time we got into the apartment there was cigarette smell all over the place.
4.- There was not a single hook to hang a towel or anything a normal person needs in the bathroom and there wasn’t a bar of soap even though we were told when we arrived that you do not provide it. We believe that it is bare need that the renter should supply.
5.- The hair dryer was broken
6. There was a hole in the ceiling between de living and the bedroom. Why? It didn’t look well
7.- The curtains looked ragged giving the apartment a bad appearance
8.- We had to buy two wine glasses and out of courtesy we left them there because we felt they should have been supplied.
9.- There were no place mats.
For all of the above reasons we feel that that apartment is terribly overpriced. Definitely we wouldn’t recommend anybody to rent it.
I stayed here with a group of three female friends (we are all in our early twenties) and it definitely suited our needs. We had a ridiculously late check-in, but owners were understanding and accommodated our arrival. Surprised by other reviews saying it wasn't clean- we found the space perfectly neat and tidy. It's small, but it's New York so we were expecting that, and we didn't find it to be an issue. Couldn't get the TVs to work, but besides that, amenities were as needed. Communication with owners was fine and they were accessible when we had a few minor problems.
Location is perfect for young visitors to the city- tons of cool bars in the area (though not right on the same street, so not a huge noise problem). Also, it's only about 10 minutes to the subway station.
Thanks for everything!
You'll be in the heart of the East Village. You're close to everything and just about everything you need is within walking distance shopping, drinks, food, landmarks, parks, subway etc. You'll love the neighborhood
