About the property

Lovely Cape Cod within 2 miles of UK Campus, Rupp Arena, Downtown, and Racing

Home is conveniently located within 2 miles of the University of Kentucky campus, 2 miles from Rupp Arena and Downtown, within walking distance to the historic Red Mile Race Track, which has year round wagering and slot machines, and three major hospitals.

Home can sleep up to eight via the following beds: One Standard King Bed, One Full Bed, Two Twin Beds, One Full Futon. There is one full bath on the main floor and one half bath on the second floor. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to cook small meals, such as pots, pans, utensils, dinnerware and flatware, glasses, and sundries. I supply coffee, creamer, sugar, flour, tea, paper towels, oil, and spices.

There is a washer and dryer in the unfinished basement and I supply laundry detergent and bleach.

There is plenty of parking onsite via the driveway and street parking.

This four bedroom cape cod is at the end of a quiet street centrally located to everything Lexington has to offer. Located only 2 miles from the University of Kentucky Student Center, 2 miles from Rupp Arena and downtown attractions, and within walking distance to the historic Red Mile Horse Track, Country Boy Brewery, and many restaurants.

This home is set up specifically for guest use so there are no personal belongings in the house.

Guests will have access to the entire home and yard. The garage will not be accessible.

My interaction with guests will be little to none unless otherwise requested. There will be a lock box at the property and a code for entry will be given before check-in.

The neighborhood is quiet and established. Most people have lived on the street for many years. There are mature trees and the homes are all well-built. The neighborhood is conveniently located to downtown, campus, and not far from New Circle Road.

Getting Around

Lextran is Lexington's public transit system and there is a bus top within walking distance of the house.

Why Jill Walker chose Golf View Estates

This property was built solid to last in 1940 and was purchased as my first home in 2003. It is dear to me because I have many fond memories of living here. I purchased it for all the charm I could take advantage of on my budget at the time. It has lovely hardwood floors, two feet thick stone foundation, a formal dining room, a galley kitchen off by itself (I am not a fan of large open floor plan houses), and is heated with forced air natural gas, making the home extra warm and cozy in the winter. Although the bedrooms are small and the full bath is a tight fit, it keeps the family close and has a classic vintage feel I think you will appreciate. The only reason I moved was because I fell in love and moved in with my now husband in his lovely home on the outskirts of Lexington where we have acreage enough for chickens!

Close to everything!

We enjoyed our stay here! Plenty of room for our group, nice backyard, and close to downtown, keeneland, and all the fun stuff! The owners left lots of good recommendations for us and we discovered a new place! Highly recommend it!

Older home, Quiet neighborhood

Our family had an unexpected chance for a reunion. We elected to do the Ark Encounter because of its central location to us. Our stay was for a single night.

The beds were nice and, with the kitchen for dinner and breakfast, it was a nice savings over hotels and restaurants.

A Lexington Thanksgiving

Our family enjoyed a beautiful Lexington Thanksgiving. The home was a clean, cozy home away from home. The central location was perfect for eating, shopping, and enjoying UK basketball & football games. The owner generously provides coffee, toiletries, and linens. scarry for people with fall risk

Generally the house was comfortable to stay in. The bed squeaked. It was nice to have big overstuffed chair that my grandchildren sat in together and read or used their kendalls. the kitchen was nice to work in. My real big concern is that the steps out front were extremely dangerous. I had to go out the back stairs. It would have been nice to know that there were steps and are not safe for those at fall risk. They really should be brought up to a safe standard. Thanks for sharing your house
