This four bedroom cape cod is at the end of a quiet street centrally located to everything Lexington has to offer. Located only 2 miles from the University of Kentucky Student Center, 2 miles from Rupp Arena and downtown attractions, and within walking distance to the historic Red Mile Horse Track, Country Boy Brewery, and many restaurants.
This home is set up specifically for guest use so there are no personal belongings in the house.
Guests will have access to the entire home and yard. The garage will not be accessible.
My interaction with guests will be little to none unless otherwise requested. There will be a lock box at the property and a code for entry will be given before check-in.
The neighborhood is quiet and established. Most people have lived on the street for many years. There are mature trees and the homes are all well-built. The neighborhood is conveniently located to downtown, campus, and not far from New Circle Road.
Lextran is Lexington's public transit system and there is a bus top within walking distance of the house.
MY name is Jill and I enjoy reading non-fiction, listening to Art Bell podcasts, raising chickens, ducks, guineas, and geese, junking, and traveling with my husband. I was born and raised in Clark County, KY, but have lived in Lexington since 2003. I love romance languages and speak several including Spanish, with proficiency, and Romanian on a novice level. I take great care to make sure your rental is comfortable, clean, and stocked with all the basics you would need in order to arrive with only a carry-on. I hope you consider my rental and if so, have a peaceful, relaxed stay!
Jill Walker purchased this house in 2003
This property was built solid to last in 1940 and was purchased as my first home in 2003. It is dear to me because I have many fond memories of living here. I purchased it for all the charm I could take advantage of on my budget at the time. It has lovely hardwood floors, two feet thick stone foundation, a formal dining room, a galley kitchen off by itself (I am not a fan of large open floor plan houses), and is heated with forced air natural gas, making the home extra warm and cozy in the winter. Although the bedrooms are small and the full bath is a tight fit, it keeps the family close and has a classic vintage feel I think you will appreciate. The only reason I moved was because I fell in love and moved in with my now husband in his lovely home on the outskirts of Lexington where we have acreage enough for chickens!
Nice little house and great sights in Lexington and in Louisville!! Very clean and comfortable!
This cute little house was absolutely perfect for four ladies day out! After spending the afternoon at Keeneland, this was only a quick easy 10 minute drive.
It has plenty of space, with all the amenties you would need. Jill has thought of everything! The house was immaculately clean and the backyard was private.
Although we didn't take advantage of it, you are just a couple blocks away from the Redmile Racino.
We hope this will be available for our next ladies night out!!
Thanks Jill for a lovely relaxing stay!!
This house worked well for us - 4 ladies. All had a separate bedroom that was clean & comfy.
Dining room table & living room downstairs were perfect to meet & talk.
Close to restaurants & downtown so location good. Supplied with linens, dishes, etc as posted. First Watch Restaurant near & great for breakfast or lunch. Also Bella Notte great Italian food short drive away.
Good location. Instructions on house clear. Free wifi.
Drawback is house next door is rather trashy - yard etc. You have to drive by it to park car in back ( on right) Suggest a call from owner to city to clean it up. House on other side is well maintained.
Warning: stairs narrow to get upstairs 2 bedrooms. May be problem if you have older folks.
Need railing on back stairs at least one side. 1 elderly gal had to be helped going up & down as there was no hand railing.
This is an easy fix.
Would recommend to friends.
We had a very lovely time. The location was perfect for access to the University and not far from downtown. Lucky's Market an easy 5 minute walk away. The house had everything we needed and was clean and quiet. Highly recommended!
A lovely house situated in the heart of Lexington on a quiet street. Easy access to Keeneland, downtown Lexington and UK's campus. Home amenities were everything you need for a home away from home. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your house.
