About Mary Lowings

we have never got tired of Les Trois Vallées, summer or winter, with every year finding new places to go and things to do.We love enjoying time here with friends.I am so glad I gave up my day job to do the holiday rentals in the properties, it is a joy to share this stunning place with others and so rewarding.

Mary Lowings purchased this chalet in 2007

Why Mary Lowings chose Les Allues

We love the picturesque and traditional village of Les Allues. It is the best of all worlds: a traditional French village right in the heart of the Méribel Valley, beautiful any season of the year. The chalet and village have a very warm feeling. The Chalet was totally renovated 5 years ago to a high standard with all modern facilities, but with a cosy Alpine ambiance. Just right to feel very home in the mountains. I am proud to have been awarded 4 stars by the Méribel tourist board and their coveted LaBelMeribel certificate.

What makes this chalet unique

The chalet is very spacious with fantastic views. You get more space for your money by not being in the centre, but still easy to access the whole area. The village is quieter than the centre of Meribel, especially at night!

Guestbook comments from the owner

“What can we say? Perfect from start to finish from the lovely and helpful owner to the beautiful chalet complete with perfect view! Very well equipped. My favourite is the fire, ideal after a day on the slopes. Beds are comfy, the showers are hot and the bath great for a soak. Short walk to bus or gondola. Les Allues Village has all you need to enjoy your stay. Everyone is really friendly. We were four adults and two children and honestly had one of the best holidays ever.

Mary the owner makes everything so easy she is helpful and really lovely. You just need to pack your clothes and turn up…a home from home.

The chalet is lovely and warm too, very pretty with breathtaking views which can be enjoyed from the chalet or your very own balcony!

We would love to come back at any time of year. We felt it was a perfect combination easy access to other villages but plenty for the family in the village of Les Allues. We drove from Lyon which was super easy. You could stay without a car just depends on your preference.

Thanks Mary for a wonderful and memorable stay, it was simply divine.”

5 Star Property, fantastic place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We were a group of 9 in this Chalet, intent on skiing and chilling out for a week from our hectic lives all around the world. What an amazing well equipped and well looked after Chalet. We had high expectations from the pictures and the write up, but these didn't really prepare us for just how good it actually was. A big thank you to Mary for making the whole experience of hiring this accommodation and getting to the ski slopes the easiest ski holiday I've ever booked. The level of detail she has prepared for the rental process and how to get about and enjoy yourselves in the resort is exactly what people with busy lives need, we didn't need to think for ourselves at all, every bit of information we could possibly want was easily to hand. Great holiday location, now working out how we can come again.

Excellent chalet with great views

  • 5 of 5

Excellent facilities and can accommodate 9 very comfortably. Beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. Plenty of wood available for the log fire which was appreciated each evening. Village centre easily accessible to walk, we used cars to drive down to gondola which takes around 20 minutes to Meribel to access ski runs - plenty of car parking spaces. UK TV channels were useful. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Beautiful chalet with stunning views

  • 5 of 5

We went out to the Alps for a weeks mountain biking and walking and couldn't have asked for a better location. A stunning chalet with spectacular views that was a spot of luxury to return to in the evenings. Beautifully presented, immaculately clean and with everything that you could need provided. A perfect holiday and we would love to return to Chalet Champetre. Would absolutely recommend.

Owner's Response: I am so glad that I , my chalet manager and cleaner provided the level of comfort and luxury we aim to give all or holiday guests. The 2 new huge picture windows certainly enhance the spectacular uninterrupted mountain views . A British Telegraph newspaper Travel reporter described Les Allues as the hidden gem of The Meribel Valley and Les Trois Vallees for summer activity and winter sports holidays . I'm delighted my Chalet Champetre came up to expectations.

Charming Chalet in perfect location

  • 5 of 5

It is our second vacation in Chalet Champetre. We stayed there for one week on June 2014 and enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back. The Chalet is very comfortable, equipped with everything one might need on a vacation, furnished beautifully, surrounded by amazing view and gives you a homely feeling. There are lots of nice places to visit, and all the tips Mary, the kind owner, gave us were excellent. We highly recommend Chalet Champetre.

Alpine Charm

  • 4 of 5

This is a delightful chalet nestled in the charming village of Les Allues.

We stayed in the second floor of the chalet with the gorgeous balcony views and extra space upstairs for tv viewing or in my case yoga. It's oozing with traditional Alpine charm and frankly we found it hard to leave in the evenings as it was the perfect chill out environment for my family after being on the slopes. We had breakfast inside and out depending on the weather and the attic double room provides a lovely escape from the rest of the family! Mary has thought of everything and her customer service is excellent. Even putting herself out after I left a watch in the chalet. The place is not an isolated spot - its in the village albeit high up. But the mountain views from the windows and the decking coupled with a 5/10 walk to village to get croissants each morning provide a very authentic country atmosphere. And it was much appreciated to leave the Meribel buzz behind each day. You can easily go back into town by a free and excellent bus service that takes no time at all and is highly recommended to avoid the meribel car parks etc. It took us a while to get used to the convection hob but we mastered it. The fire is amazing and the log wood stock infinite. Really spacious for a large family - there were only four of us but would have easily fitted double that. Highly recommended.

Luxurious, Comfortable and Cosy with Great Views

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Chalet Champetre for a long w/e and wish we could have stayed longer.

Everything is as described; the Chalet is beautiful, very spacious, well equipped, cosy and comfortable. It was clean and is well maintained; the finishings, detail and furnishings are 5*.

The TV, HiFi equipment and WiFi worked perfectly and there is a great choice of DVD's and books if you just want to sit in the front of the fire for a relaxing evening.

It is in a picturesque location with great views and within walking distance of the village where there are restaurants and a supermarket. With tips from Mary who is extremely helpful we went on some great walks with spectacular views.

This is undoubtedly one of the loveliest Chalets we have stayed in and we hope to make a return visit in 2015 as we enjoyed our stay so much. Would definitely recommend if visiting Les Allues.
