Mary Lowings purchased this chalet in 2007
We love the picturesque and traditional village of Les Allues. It is the best of all worlds: a traditional French village right in the heart of the Méribel Valley, beautiful any season of the year. The chalet and village have a very warm feeling. The Chalet was totally renovated 5 years ago to a high standard with all modern facilities, but with a cosy Alpine ambiance. Just right to feel very home in the mountains. I am proud to have been awarded 4 stars by the Méribel tourist board and their coveted LaBelMeribel certificate.
The chalet is very spacious with fantastic views. You get more space for your money by not being in the centre, but still easy to access the whole area. The village is quieter than the centre of Meribel, especially at night!
The chalet was lovely again.
We had a wonderful time and we all voted to return next year as we have walks we would still like to do. Austin definitely wants his birthday to be in France again and Isla is considering postponing hers from May to August so she can have a French birthday too!!!! And she HAS to go swimming in Bozel Lake!
I’ll be in touch!

We were a group of 9 in this Chalet, intent on skiing and chilling out for a week from our hectic lives all around the world. What an amazing well equipped and well looked after Chalet. We had high expectations from the pictures and the write up, but these didn't really prepare us for just how good it actually was. A big thank you to Mary for making the whole experience of hiring this accommodation and getting to the ski slopes the easiest ski holiday I've ever booked. The level of detail she has prepared for the rental process and how to get about and enjoy yourselves in the resort is exactly what people with busy lives need, we didn't need to think for ourselves at all, every bit of information we could possibly want was easily to hand. Great holiday location, now working out how we can come again.
Excellent facilities and can accommodate 9 very comfortably. Beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. Plenty of wood available for the log fire which was appreciated each evening. Village centre easily accessible to walk, we used cars to drive down to gondola which takes around 20 minutes to Meribel to access ski runs - plenty of car parking spaces. UK TV channels were useful. Would not hesitate to recommend.
We went out to the Alps for a weeks mountain biking and walking and couldn't have asked for a better location. A stunning chalet with spectacular views that was a spot of luxury to return to in the evenings. Beautifully presented, immaculately clean and with everything that you could need provided. A perfect holiday and we would love to return to Chalet Champetre. Would absolutely recommend.
It is our second vacation in Chalet Champetre. We stayed there for one week on June 2014 and enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back. The Chalet is very comfortable, equipped with everything one might need on a vacation, furnished beautifully, surrounded by amazing view and gives you a homely feeling. There are lots of nice places to visit, and all the tips Mary, the kind owner, gave us were excellent. We highly recommend Chalet Champetre.
This is a delightful chalet nestled in the charming village of Les Allues.
We stayed in the second floor of the chalet with the gorgeous balcony views and extra space upstairs for tv viewing or in my case yoga. It's oozing with traditional Alpine charm and frankly we found it hard to leave in the evenings as it was the perfect chill out environment for my family after being on the slopes. We had breakfast inside and out depending on the weather and the attic double room provides a lovely escape from the rest of the family! Mary has thought of everything and her customer service is excellent. Even putting herself out after I left a watch in the chalet. The place is not an isolated spot - its in the village albeit high up. But the mountain views from the windows and the decking coupled with a 5/10 walk to village to get croissants each morning provide a very authentic country atmosphere. And it was much appreciated to leave the Meribel buzz behind each day. You can easily go back into town by a free and excellent bus service that takes no time at all and is highly recommended to avoid the meribel car parks etc. It took us a while to get used to the convection hob but we mastered it. The fire is amazing and the log wood stock infinite. Really spacious for a large family - there were only four of us but would have easily fitted double that. Highly recommended.
We stayed at Chalet Champetre for a long w/e and wish we could have stayed longer.
Everything is as described; the Chalet is beautiful, very spacious, well equipped, cosy and comfortable. It was clean and is well maintained; the finishings, detail and furnishings are 5*.
The TV, HiFi equipment and WiFi worked perfectly and there is a great choice of DVD's and books if you just want to sit in the front of the fire for a relaxing evening.
It is in a picturesque location with great views and within walking distance of the village where there are restaurants and a supermarket. With tips from Mary who is extremely helpful we went on some great walks with spectacular views.
This is undoubtedly one of the loveliest Chalets we have stayed in and we hope to make a return visit in 2015 as we enjoyed our stay so much. Would definitely recommend if visiting Les Allues.
