Now that we've had a year of experience with the marketing of our house it's apparent that our niche is larger groups, four or more. If you have a group where each individual needs a private bedroom, the office/study can be the fourth bedroom. We held a Thanksgiving dinner here this year and seated ten at the dining table, so there's plenty of space.
Remodeled 1950's single story home with 3 Bedrooms and two baths. Spacious kitchen, dining/living area and an extra office/study with sofa bed. Total of five beds, 2 queens, 2 twins, and full sofa bed.
Large Smart TV and WiFi. Complete kitchen includes, range/oven/ micro wave/ coffee maker and huge supply of cookware and dinnerware.
Outdoors are a stone fire pit, covered patio with BBQ grill, and garden pond
Location is on the edge of the Washington/Willow Historic District and about one mile from Dickson St. Razorback Stadium is 2 miles. If walking, the route passes through the Historic District where you will see many of the turn of the century homes, 20th, then down Layfayette where your view of Old Main is constant. When you reach Arkansas Ave you enter the Campus Arboretum walk on the original Senior Walk and past Old Main.
Other nice walks include Mt. Sequoyah itself where you can get great views of both sunrises and sunsets.
Fruits and pastry are always provided as well as coffee for breakfast.
if planning an event let us know and we will gather the essentials for your special needs. ( no charge for the service, just cost of the items purchased)
There are two off street parking spaces and a covered shed for bikes.
Everything you will need is provided, no need to bring linens or cooking utensils.
My brother and I decided to keep the house after our mother passed , but we also wanted to remodel it. This evolved into a decision to try nightly rental, since we had so much furniture and personal possessions that we didn't want to have to get rid of.
So, the home has quite a lot of items that have been in our family for over 50 years, some longer than 100 years.
We are native to Fayetteville and live nearby, so it's easy to respond to your needs.
The picture above is our mother and her great-grand daughter, my grand daughter.
Don and Bob Watson purchased this house in 1965
When you pull into the driveway you'll be surrounded by rock walls. Our Dad had the original drive dug out and then hauled the rock from the site where the old Fayetteville High School was demolished at School and Center St. This rock was the material used to build Root Gym, the basketball court and theatre stage was in this building.
In the back yard is a stone shed built from the same rock , it was done later by my dad and brother.
We enjoyed our stay in this quiet and cozy home. Back yard was perfect for grilling and making s'mores. Our kids enjoyed playing out back. It's a little dated but totally beats a hotel. It has everything you would need to feel at home. We recommend staying here and would go back :)
Nice "home away from home" house. Older home with lots of charm. Very clean, roomy and well kept. The owners were very nice to work with, leaving snacks to enjoy and all the little "things" to make make an enjoyable stay.
Outside grill and a kitchen that had all the dishes/pans/condiments made for an enjoyable cooking/dining experience for dinner and breakfast. Our family of 4 was very comfortable. Could easily sleep 6 in beds. Would definitely stay here again.
We just love Fayetteville and we love Don and Bob's house. It is cozy, comfortable and wonderfully vintage. The location is quiet and peaceful. Plus, we so appreciate that dogs are allowed. And who wouldn't love the homemade banana bread, fruit and other treats that they welcome you with? Thank you Don and Bob for another wonderful weekend at your Mt. Sequoyah home.
The property is very clean and charming with many collectibles through out the house. Plenty of room to roam around and we enjoyed staying here. The neighborhood is nice and quiet with a lot of greens. Its a great location and close to everything. The owner was very thoughtful to provide fresh flowers, muffins and fruits before we arrived. Thank you, Don.
Great town, friendly neighbors, just an amazing time and amazing house
Great house! The back porch was perfect for relaxing on a nice summer day. Well equipped kitchen.

If Bikes, Blues, and BBQ is your thing, the house is located close enough to walk to the Dickson St venue, yet just far enough away to not be able to hear it.( much)
Right on Mt Sequoyah, this is prime area for those invigorating walks with views of the Boston Mountains and Old main.
