This house is a property that I have had for 7 years and leased it on an annual basis. I love the lake and love to spend time there so I have decided to share that time with others. Therefore this property is now available for you to enjoy as I do.
The Owner purchased this bungalow in 2005
I live near by and know how much there is to do and enjoy in this area. There is something for everyone. Young or old there is something for you.
There is a boat dock for those who have a boat. You can enjoy sunbathing or sitting in the shade of the trees by the lake. There is a huge flat back yard that extends to the lake where you can park additiona vechiles or have room to enjoy numerous outside activities.
We also have a sandy beach area for the little ones. The water is shallow so it makes it less stressful when young kids are present.
On cool nights we like to build a fire and sit around socializing.
7 adults and 4 children stayed here two nights. Upon arrival we saw 4 mice run across the living room floor and caught one. The owner brushed off the presence of vermin due the cold weather (so it should be accepted with a smile, mister!) One cousin refused to stay due to the rodents. The dining room floor was treacherous due to an apparent liberal application of furniture polish causing a skating rink effect.....look forward to a broken arm or other emergency room visit! Downstairs held a treasure of the senses with an aromatic sewer smell. The upstairs bedroom adjacent to the bathroom developed a very cozy wet spot under the carpet after anyone used any of the services said bathroom provides. On random occasions a sound emits from the upstairs floor that can only be compared to a bull moose in full rut, the first few times we heard the bellowing beast it was concluded there was a rouge tuba player practicing in the basement. I'm not bashing the owner whatsoever, but the rental of this house for two days certainly provides an adventure, the children loved chasing the mice and we all had a good laugh sitting around the large dining room table in a well lit and heated home. The price is fair, although one should be prepared to receive motel quality amenities for almost hotel prices.
We usually stay in a hotel or with my aunt when we come for our reunion. Time passes and things change. ,we decided to rent a house so we could all be together. Karen's home is wonderful. We had plenty of room, huge deck, comfortable beds, huge kitchen all the amenities of home. We were in close proximity of our events. I am glad we found this bungalow. I feel sure we will be returning. Only thing missing was the river but this could not be avoided. Thank you Karen for a a wonderful home away from home.
Our recent stay at your home was great! The whole family was pleases with your home! The children couldn't have had more fun! Playing in the river, building fires in the fire pit, catching Fire Flies, and playing on the deck! The size of the house was perfect for our large family! We know where to go when we need a Tn visit! Thank you for opening your home to others!
Sincerely, The Potter Family.
Our friends and family had a wonderful experience at Karen's house last year for the Rhythm and Roots festival, it is very spacious and loved the back porch! Karen was a joy to deal with and we recommend the location for the Bristol Speedway or for your stay in and around the Bristol VA/TN area.
We had a ladies night out and Karen's bungalow was the perfect place to stay overnight! The beds were comfortable and the area was quiet. The kitchen had all the things we needed to cook breakfast in the morning. The only questions I had before we got there Karen responded to quickly which was very helpful since it was set up as a last minute thing. Overall, excellent!
We rented this bungalow to attend the Bristol races. There were 9 of us all together and we were all very comfortable. The kitchen is huge! The place immaculately clean throughout. Wireless internet worked fine. Loved the deck overlooking the river/lake; wish we had more time to spend at the property to enjoy it more. Karen was great and just a phone call away for questions. One issue we had was taken care of immediately. We wished that we had another bathroom with so many of us trying to get ready at the same time, but other than that, would definitely rent this property again. Thanks Karen.
Bristol Motor Speedway approx. 4 miles.
