This is a great two bedroom cabin. Close driving distance to WISP and Canaan Valley Skiing. Seneca Rocks for some of the best rock climbing on the east coast. Great fishing and paddle sports with in 10 mins. Water Access.
Nestled on nearly 9 acres it is very private. Charming little towns are within a 10 mile drive. Perfect for day trips exploring West Virginia or getting of the grid! Quite and quaint we are confident you will love it!
The cabin had all the basics for a nice little getaway. We did get extended cell service so we weren't totally blacked out from the outside world. I wish it had been warmer so we could have sat out on the deck but we settled for enjoying the view from inside!
We were really happy to find a place we could bring our dogs along, they had a blast romping in the big field by the stream!
I originally booked my stay with several family members who later could not come. We took a chance, (my older Mother) and I at going by ourselves. My first plan was that if we arrived and there was no cell service we would turn around and go right back home (take it as a loss). But once we got there we fell right in love with the place. The setting is tucked away and private, yet there are neighbors near enough that you are not in the middle of nowhere by yourself. We loved our stay at Kick Back Cabin and felt it was a God sent retreat and time of refreshing for us. It has the most beautiful view from the deck. Great for stargazing with ample sightings of gliding birds and deers in the distant fields. We stayed 6 nights, relaxed a lot and went into town to some little shops and breakfast at Romney diner. Loved thrifting, yard sales and the boutiques. Took a courageous hike and plenty of walks with my dog. I thought the cabin was even prettier in person and it had plenty of extra supplies, binoculars, and videos. The only thing unsettling for me was the lack of phone service, but it all worked out. It really helped calm me knowing there was a neighbor nearby for any emergency needs. We loved that there was no internet, as we were there to get away from it all! I found Arlene very easy to work with and very responsive to all of my questions. As well, the neighbor who was the emergency contact was very friendly and helpful, though there were no needs that arose.
I do plan to go again. Next time I will bring extra beach chairs for the deck and my telescope. Thank you so much for this wonderful new find for me and my family. The ones who didn't come are soooo jealous!
Amazing view! Great place to relax and unwind with the family. Centrally located for the activities we chose to do while on our stay...Dolly Sods hiking one day and rock climbing another. Nice place to come back to and kick up our feet after those couple of activities. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. AC was a window unit and was not on when we arrived, but cooled down the cabin nicely. Very hot time while we were in WV. Definitely enjoyed our stay!
Our family vacationed here in August & we really enjoyed the cabin. It was comfy & has gorgeous views off the deck. We enjoyed going to the river while we were there it was very peaceful & quiet. We would love to come back! Christy S.
We loved this place! The location was perfect as it is just across River Road from a public takeout point. Great view, private, and quiet. Hopefully we will make another trip there soon.
