Well decorated and clean

  • 5 of 5

Overall it was very comfortable. Kitchen has plenty of dishes. The DVD's were all for children, but that was great for us as we had a toddler with us. It might be nice to have the light switches labeled. There is no way to tell what each one is for without trying.

Cozy little house in a quiet area

  • 5 of 5

This house is immaculate! Very cozy - great for a family of 4 or 5. The renovation was well done with lots of pine (smelled great!) and excellent use of space. Nice little patio of one of the bedrooms. Loved being in Galloway. Sequiota park is very close and some hip little bar and grill places near by.

Cozy, romantic, sweet, convenient, a blessing!

  • 5 of 5

Amy, you have created a lovely little nest for folks like my husband and me to find rest between exploring, shopping and eating. We enjoyed the set up very much and want to return when we can use the beautiful little deck. We found the kitchen well equipped, the bedrooms warm and comfortable (in fact the back bedroom has the coziest bed I've ever experienced away from home), the bathroom towels soft and plentiful, the throws clean, soft and inviting.

Some things to consider: the coffee carafe doesn't fit the coffee maker and needs to be replaced. It would be better to use travel size soap, lotion and shampoos rather than family size. The TVs are placed strangely and we couldn't get comfortable watching either one. The newness of the place made for a sort of varnishy smell that took some getting used to. But these things didn't detract much from the lovely atmosphere.

We WILL be back! We're thankful to have found a place just a couple miles from Springfield's main shopping areas, and close to a wonderful walking and recreation area, nestled in an up and coming boutique neighborhood. Thanks for a great experience! Rob and Julie

Comfortable & Quaint Home Away From Home!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this place and will definitely come back! My mom, sister, myself and our kiddos were in town to visit my mom's family just for the weekend. Given the number of us and having young kids, this worked out so much better than a hotel where we would have been tripping over each other and washing bottles in the bathroom sink. At this house, however, we had plenty of space, and a full kitchen to wash bottles and store milk in the refrigerator! Not to mention, it is a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e! It really felt like home away from home!

My only note would be that the little steps leading up to the door didn't have a railing, and then the support for the little gable overhead comes down in your head space where you have to make sure to duck around it. So having a fairly feeble mother and a young daughter, it made us a bit nervous for them to go up and down those steps. Definitely not a big deal, and would not stop us from coming back, just something to be careful of. Having DVD movies there was awesome to keep the kids occupied, and we loved playing card games at the table. It was also great to have a bit of a yard for the kids to run around in. All in all, it was a great trip and we would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for something more homey than a hotel (and arguably less expensive). :)
