We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cabin. Everything was very clean and true to the pictures online. We would enjoy staying again and would plan to stay longer next time as we fell in love with the town and surroundings.
We loved the cabin and the property! It was beautiful, comfy, roomy. ..Had everything we needed except they forgot to put sheets on the trundle bed and enough wash cloths in the bathrooms. It seems as though they sent the questionarre about how many people we were bringing too late, we were already there. They said the hot tub had been damaged in a storm the night before, but it would have been nice and private. Four of the 8 advertized beds are in the open loft but it would actually sleep 10 comfortably with the futon double that is also in the loft area. But they dont supply sheets or pillows for it or the trundle. There is a driveway to another home (which you cant see at all) through the parking area and "no parking" (not sure why) in front of the garage, so parking for three cars and a boat or four cars. The drive to Bryson city is four lane the whole way, 15 minutes max. We heard the morning we left that there was a good walking trail below the road toward the lake, but didnt know about it in time. Dont ask for early check in, as we did to begin with and then again, as directed, on the morning of our checkin, and they said they couldn't do anything about that but that they would let us know when it was done. It wasnt done until 5:00. Oh, and the door has no key or lock box at the front door as in the directions . You just use the code supplied on the back door lock. With all this known before I stay at Forest Cabin the next time, I would have no problems and a super vacation and so will definitely try to return!
Great location to explore all the mountains has to offer... shopping in Bryson City, rafting at NOC and hiking near Fontana Dam. Loved relaxing in hot tub after the days activities. Teens liked playing pool as adults hung out on the porch. House was well furnished and very clean. First time we came to the mountains rather than following the crowds to the beach... no regrets and looking forward to doing it again soon!
