This is a fantastic location and is extremely affordable for any traveler that is on a budget. It is close to the Albuquerque zoo, Tingly beach, national Hispanic cultural center, convention center and the Sunport. The downtown location make this place ideal to walk to great restaurants, we have an amazing craft brew revolution starting and downtown is central. The university is close as well as all the sports stadiums.

Great place. Clean and cozy.
I really enjoyed my stay here. It has a shabby chic vibe which is a great fit for me. The place was clean and well-stocked on my arrival. There was a basket with coffee, sugar, creamers and even a few bottles of water for my convenience. The neighborhood was pretty quiet and I felt safe being there alone. The WiFi worked great and the bed was comfortable too. I'm very likely to stay here again when I return to ABQ in the future.
Terrific, if slightly chilly
This is a very clean and reasonably well-equipped place with an adequate kitchen, a good bed and bathroom. In Winter the heating system (baseboard electric) doesn't give very even heat distribution and tile floors are cold. The location is wonderful, close to downtown, the Hispanic Cultural Center and Barelas Coffee House (a really great New Mexican eatery). The neighborhood was probably crummy 25 years ago, but is okay now. Good neighbors, but one dog down the street barks a lot at night. Walking trails in park along Rio Grande are great and access to the zoo is easy.
A bargain deal
This small private apartment offered off street parking which was an added plus. Everything was clean. Kitchen had all sizes of pots and pans, plenty of silverware and dishes. Stocked with coffee, cooking oil, treats. Bed was comfortable. Extra blankets provided. There was even a sun shade for the window. Air conditioning in living room and bedroom kept the place really comfortable. Good t.v. And wireless reception. Just 3 blocks from the famous barriles coffee house. Lots of cultural happenings in the neighborhood. There was a festival on avinida Caesar Chavez and 4th street. There was a dance at 4th and Pacific ave sw. The apartment had real tile floors. The neighbors keep a good eye on things so you feel really safe when you leave for awhile. Mc Donald's and sonic within walking distance. The landlord is easy to work with also. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget. So much better than a hotel!
We came to Albuquerque for a concert and stayed here for 3 nights! It was an awesome and accommodating place for the 3 nights we were there. A couple of the neighbors stopped by to talk to us while we were hanging out outside and they were all extremely friendly! Thomas, the owner, was very responsive and easy to work with! The apartment was very clean and spacious for two of us. The reasoning behind my 4 stars is because the AC unit in the window in the bedroom was extremely loud when we turned it on. It didn't bother us at all, but if you're a light sleeper... You definitely wouldn't be able to sleep with it on. Also, whenever the people in the unit next to us showered, there was an extremely loud screeching noise in our unit. Again, didn't bother us but it might bother somebody else. One last thing, the water didn't stay hot very long. Overall, our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Thomas was great to work with and if we ever find ourselves in Albuquerque again, we will definitely be staying here!
8 Day Downtown Stay
The location was definitely in prime location close to the Zoo and Downtown Nightlife. The area where the location is has a lot of dogs and sometimes the barking would get a little annoying but if you don't mind that it's fine. A negative to the dogs is that there were days that owners didn't clean up properly behind them and there was a stale scent in the air that only affected the outside of the home. As for the HomeAway itself the accommodations were adequate the kitchen was clean and provided silverware and dishware for our stay. The bathroom was also clean and well lit with towels and soap provided. Overall the location provided everything necessary for anyone looking to spend a few days in the city of Albuquerque. Not too small, not too big but just right.
