Take advantage of our large kitchen for meals, or venture out and sample San Diego’s restaurants during your stay here! Start the morning off right with some coffee right on the deck. Or head out to Pappalecco, Kona Coffee Company, or Industrial Grind Coffee. Then enjoy a nice, leisurely breakfast at Snooze an AM Eatery, BCB Company – Hillcrest, or Hash House A Go Go. All are popular stops near our house.
Venture out for some fresh morning air – head out for a nice morning walk. You can walk/run to and through Balboa Park. Or better yet, you can connect to one of the many canyon trails that are a good, fast, and easy hike. The closest canyon to hike is 5 blocks away at the south end of Vermont.
Feel free to prep an afternoon snack in our kitchen, or just head out for a bite to eat. In San Diego, there are plenty of unique restaurants to visit. Popular nearby dinner destinations include: 100 Wines Kitchen, Uptown Tavern, and Salt & Cleaver. Try one, or try all!
After a long day spent out exploring, spend some lazy time dozing in the comfy living room, relaxing in the yard, or enjoying a glass of wine on the deck. Or just head straight to your cozy bed.

Overall the stay was great and I would have given an enthusiastic 5 star rating except for what happened literally as we were leaving. The owner apparently was on the property while we were still there and took a picture of the gate leading to the front of the house. I received an email from Prop Mgmt with the photo and a claim that we had damaged the gate as we were leaving the property. We entered the house exclusively thru the side door and it took me a few minutes to even know what the picture was. When I looked at the gate, it was clearly deteriorated from age and ill-repair. Eventually, I got my full security deposit refunded, but it seemed pretty cheap for the owner to try to make us pay for a clearly poorly maintained gate.
Great home with cute yard! Kitchen and bathrooms are spacious! The neighborhood was quiet and we really appreciated having parking space. Very close to grocery (Whole Foods!!) Love that the owner provided ample towel supplies. That was a huge blessing. Having rented other homes in the past I had learned to always bring towels of my own but in this house we never had to use them!
The only thing that could use an update is the mattresses. But other than that, the house is GREAT!
Property had lots of spiderwebs in kitchen and master bathroom. Mirrors were dirty, oven was dirty, large kitchen window blinds were broken and left open no privacy. We couldn't change the tv, remote missing, so we had one channel. Could not use freezer, because pull out bottom drawer was broken and extremely dirty. You would think since they charge a cleaning fee it would be clean when you arrive. I took pictures of everything once we arrived. We woud have been better off in a hotel since we only used the beds and restroom. Would never stay here again, nor would i recommened pillow.
We celebrated my fiances 30th birthday in gorgeous San Diego with our closest family and friends.
This cozy home suited our needs perfectly. It was spacious, clean and conveniently located. With the number of people we had, we grocery shopped and cooked most of our meals home which helped to save money. There was a Ralph's and Trader Joes located right around the corner which made it very easy to make a quick run to the store.
There was amazing night life walking distance away as well.
Next time we are in San Diego I hope that this home is available again! Thank you for the great experience!
