7 bedroom house (sleeps 14) in Abersoch, North Wales - ideal for beach.

A large 7 bedroomed three storey, semi detached house with stunning sea views in Abersoch village.

Located in the picturesque and lively North Wales town of Abersoch. The house is centrally located, 1 minute walk from the village centre and 5 minutes from the beach, yacht club and golf club.

The house is self catering and comfortably sleeps up to 14 people, it is available as a holiday rental all year round.

Linen /Towels: Unfortunately linen and towels are not provided. All beds have duvets and pillows, hence require bed sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases.

Double room (x 3) require double bed sheets and king duvet covers.

Singles (x 8) are all single linen.

Also, there is no cot provided - we find guests prefer to bring their own.

We had another great weekend in Abersoch last week, the changes you have made to the house are fantastic we loved the patio area and had a great barbecue on the Saturday night.

Lovely property and area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Abersoch over Christmas and the house is beautiful and spacious.

We had a few problems with the internet and one shower would not drain away so could not be used but other than that the house and area were great.

I think that in future providing linen may encourage those from further away to rent as those can take up a lot of weight and space in your luggage but we knew that before we rented , this is just an observation.

All in all it was a wonderful place to stay and the owners had provided a Christmas tree which added to the festive week.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback. Regarding the linen, it is something we have looked into, but due to the number of beds it was adding a significant cost for guests, and due to the costs of the linen, we'd have needed to make it the standard for all, so have currently decided against it. We'll keep gauging this. Thanks, James

Absolutely top drawer, a fantastic house in a truly fantastic position

We had a wonderful stay. The house has all the facilities you would ask for, has bags of room and loads of character. It's a two minute walk to the village and not much longer to the beach.

We are looking forward to our next stay, all in all excellent

Beautiful, spacious and quirky.

We had a fabulous stay. Perfect location, plenty of parking. Lovely house, huge in fact, ideal for extended family and friends. Card and wine on arrival, very thoughtful gesture. Enormous cooker and plenty of space to sit and eat together.

Good location, roomy, but rather shabby

The house was conveniently situated within walking distance of the centre of Abersoch and local beaches, and an excellent touring centre. Inside, the house was rather disappointing. No working light in the large (dark) hallway although we changed the bulb, according to one of our party, an electrician there was a fault. There was no "Welcome Pack" with local emergency numbers nor any details of how the heating, cooker, etc worked. This was very annoying. We had difficulties in contacting the owner, who was helpful once eventually contacted. Our major compaint was the hassle of having to bring our own bedding and towels. At the price paid, this was very poor service. Some of the rooms looked tired, but the beds were very comfortable. Cleaning seemed not up to standard with a collection of cobwebs left for some time in the front room. Without our knowledge, scafolders turned up on the Thursday to set up outside the front of the house, hence the patio door was out of use.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and feedback - it is appreciated, even if not terribly glowing on this occasion. Please see below my updates / comments: 1. Cleaning - wholly unacceptable. I'm very frustrated by this, and it appears to be a continual battle to maintain the standards when I'm not present. We have decided to employ a Contract Cleaning company to do twice yearly deep detailed cleans to supplement the weekly/pre/post guest cleans. 2. Bulbs out - ditto above. I've discussed this with our housekeeper. 3. Welcome Pack - slightly confused on this, as we now operate an electronic Welcome Pack with all the details online. You should have received a number of emails highlighting this via the HomeAway website. This is partly the process from HomeAway but also suits us, as the original hard copy always looked a mess and was always out of date. The contact details for myself and our Housekeeper where also in this electronic system. 4. Linen - we have investigated linen on a couple of occasions , as have been asked once or twice previously. The costs ended up being prohibitive due to short turn rounds, costs of duplicate sets of linen, maintenance and cleaning / bed making costs. It was coming out at circa £200 per rental, which was prohibitive. 5. Cost / Value of the Rental - I'm afraid we are very much on the market rent for Abersoch taking into account the size, location and condition of the property. We are also very booked up with over 30 rentals per annum. 6. Scaffolding - sometime my mind boggles at things like this. I'm afraid this is simply a mess up and it arrived a week early! We are doing some works to the roof windows on the top floor so we can complete the redecoration of these two rooms, and it was all meant to start at the end of this week! Finally, we are continually striving to develop and improve our wonderful family holiday house with ALL rental profits going straight back into the property. We are have just had a NEST electronic thermostat installed, new blackout curtains to bedroom 3 and various other general decoration / touching up. Thanks, James

Great seaside property

August 2016. We stayed at Island View for 2 weeks; 8 adults and 5 children. This was our second visit. The kitchen is much improved with a professional standard double range cooker and new fridge freezer. There were new single beds, all clean and comfortable. Shower doors in bedroom 2 need fixing. A good place for children and near to the beach.

Fantastic, large property in a great location

This is a well proportioned house with good facilities. We found it had everything we needed and was a fantastic base for a weekend in Abersoch.

It's a very short walk into town, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within easy reach. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us during our stay and so didn't get to visit the beach but again this is within walking distance.

I wouldn't hesitate to book Island view again if staying in Abersoch. For the price, I really can't fault it.

The picturesque village of Abersoch, near Pwllheli in North Wales is ideally located for all of the beaches in the Llyn Peninsula (Abersoch, Llanbedrog, Hells Mouth, Aberdaron) or the mountain pursuits of Snowdonia.

There are numerous attractions in the local area, from all types of watersports (sailing, waterskiing, surfing, kite surfing), to stunning golf courses (at Abersoch, Pwllheli and Nefyn). To a multitude of country pursuits including horse riding, walking, shooting and fishing.

The nearest town, Pwllheli, has a marina, supermarkets, funfair, go karting and leisure centre - plus a weekly market.

Slightly further are the North Wales castles of historic Criccieth, Caernarfon, Harlech and Conwy.
