We had two immediate disappointments. First, the tv volume wasn't working at all and second the unit was misadvertised as having a King bed. My husband and I are accustomed to a King bed and would not have chosen a unit with a Queen bed. Additionally, the mattress was very uncomfortable. It moved constantly making me think the bed coils are worn out and the headboard is not attached and we had to pull the bed far from the wall just so it wouldn't bang when we turned over in the night. I will say that the management company was quick to send someone out the next day to fix the tv, however, they take no accountability about the bed situation, citing that "since we never had this complaint before we didn't know about the mattress." We were further disappointed with the lack of towels. There was exactly one bath towel person; no extras. The pool doesn't provide towels so we had to use our one single bath towel per person at the pool. There were no bath mats. There were 1-2 hand towels and washcloths for the entire 3 bedroom unit. When I wrote the company after our stay to give this information and ask for a $100 refund (we left one night early as we were not sleeping well at all), they produced two photos and said we left the unit dirty. We had removed all trash, there was pretty much zero evidence that we'd been there except that we'd piled the dirty towels in the laundry room and started the dishwasher with any dirty dishes. The photos showed a dirt mark on the living room carpet that clearly depicts a boot outline which is probably left from the repair man who fixed the tv. The second photo showed a yellow stained sheet. Well, we don't have anyone of age who would have an accident in the bed and from the photo I can't even tell if this is a photo of a sheet from the unit we were in. Furthermore, if maybe some makeup or some other lotion left this stain, t was a small stain and aren't the sheets going to be washed between renters? The management company is not taking any accountability for our complaints. We will never rent thru them and probably never stay in Encantada because of the poor reflection of this unit. We have a rental condo in a beach town and I think the owners would be better served to manage this property themselves.
