The neighborhood is rural and typically southern and a cultural experience. Enroute you will see a mixture of mobile homes, RV's, abandoned cars, boats and maybe even some cars up on blocks. This is typical of the south and this is our most popular property for large families. You will probably also be able to say you have met Boscue the Rooster, our Trail’s End celebrity.
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
We attended a conference in Chatanooga. After attending the conference from 9am-9pm it was so nice to retreat to a place of quiet where we could take time to regroup and ponder what we had heard.
We had three families getting together with kids and this was a great property to let the kids play outside and still have plenty of room inside. The property managers are incredibly responsible and responsive to concerns. The house feels remote but you can still get to town to purchase those last minute items you forgot in about 15-20 minutes. We had a great time and thanks for making it easy to take a vacation.
We totally loved our stay here - absolutely as advertised. It is secluded, spacious and in a beautiful part of the country. Our family was meeting there from four different states, so having a lot of common space was perfect. And we especially loved the visiting chickens, complete with hungry chicks!! In terms of cleanliness it was impeccable, and there were some good recommendations for restaurants. People should be aware that it takes a good 20 - 25 minutes to get to downtown so should plan accordingly. Some suggestions - a few more large pots and pans since this is a house that lends itself to larger groups who want to do some cooking. And a new knife set would be appreciated. Other than that, we had everything we needed and completely enjoyed our stay. We certainly would recommend it to others.
The cabin worked great for a mini reunion/wedding we were attending in the area. Plenty of space for everyone to spend time together in the house. Loved the deck for the early morning coffee gathering. The fire pit out back was also a great hit.
We were happy with how clean the cabin was. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with utensils you may need. The customer service was wonderful! The description of the home was accurate. We were not able to get the cable working but otherwise everything was as advertised.
This cabin is in the woods but not secluded. Loved all the little things for the kids to do! It is also close to everything you want to do(aquarium, ruby falls etc) I would recommend getting back before dark if you are not familiar with the roads. The only cons is the beds/sofa bed upstairs are not comfortable to sleep on and the cleaning crew could do a better job checking things before the next check in. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets and the floor had not been swept in awhile. Glass outside in the yard and broken down boats etc. Minor maintenance needed. We would book again however.
We were very pleased with the our stay at the cabin. We arrived to a very clean and comfortable cabin that made check easy. The cabin had even more items then they advertise and we loved the basket of bug spray, magnifying glass, and flash lights that made exploring the outdoors even more fun. It was certainly at the Trails End and I would definitely recommend that you plan to make it up to the cabin before it gets dark because there are some sharp turns and some streets that are off the beaten path, but we were able to find it easily with GPS. The back porch with the rocking chairs was perfect for the whole family and we loved how "kid-friendly" the cabin was. Plenty of toys, games, and video games, as well as critter boxes for the kids to go outside and explore. Sitting on the back porch and enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning was all of the adults' favorite part. My kids loved the chickens and the swing. We also took advantage of visiting Rock City, Ruby Falls, and the aquarium which were all short drives from the cabin. We used the cabin as a pit stop on our way down to Hilton Head, SC as well as on the way back and my whole family felt like it was a great place to relax and unwind peacefully after a long days drive. The owners were very easy to work with and they made check in and check out very easy. We will definitely be planning to come back to this cabin in the near future!
