We’ve lived in SilverLake many years and love this neighborhood. It is one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Los Angeles, just a few minutes and you arrive at parks, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and funky retail stores.

We have a 2 bedroom 2 bath home; the Master Bedroom has a King Bed and a newly remodeled private bathroom. The second bedroom is with a queen bed overlooking the side and backyard. The second bathroom still has it’s original 1920’s tile and claw-foot tub for you to enjoy a luscious soak. We also have available 2 twin mattresses for an additional 2 guests (or children). All our rooms have new beds with comfortable and clean sheets and blankets.

Wonderful garden views from every room. There is a private and large yard for you to sunbathe, enjoy a meal or take an afternoon nap; there is also plenty of room for kids to play and run around. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook yourself up a gourmet meal and enjoy it in the formal dining room. The living room and dining room have beautiful walnut hardwood floors. There’s also a small office area if you need to get some work done.

Oasis in LA

We enjoyed our stay at this Silverlake home. It was very spacious and at the same time very cozy. Because we were there for more than a week we used the kitchen frequently and it was very comfortable for us to use. The backyard was very peaceful and relaxing. It was also an ideal location for visiting family and all parts of LA.

Great house for a family gathering. Toddler friendly.

Had a very comfortable stay; especially enjoyed the large kitchen and covered patio. Adding some mixing bowls and decent knives to the kitchen would make it all close to perfect. We hope to return for another stay.

Beautiful home, great location!

We had a great stay at the beginning of March; a friend of mine and I were running a 50K in Griffith Park and our families made this property our home base for the weekend.

This home is really nicely decorated with modern updates, a great place to relax. There's a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, and then a second large bedroom. The second bathroom opens into the living room. The kitchen is well appointed with the usual appliances including the necessary coffee maker. Wifi and cable t.v. are available to keep the kiddos entertained, but only if they need to stay inside because the property has a large backyard that slopes down a hill, plenty of space to let your children free-range worry-free. There's a nice patio for al fresco dining. The property has a nice ipe wood fence facing the street with a gate that rolls back to access the driveway.

The location of this home is fantastic! It's on a quiet street south of Sunset Blvd. but within easy walking distance to a number of fantastic restaurants, close enough that strolling to dinner with a preschooler is a viable option. Since it's located in Silverlake you're also within a short (a few miles) of Echo Park (where you can ride paddle boats on the lake), Atwater Village (more great restaurants), and Griffith Park (L.A. Zoo, the Observatory, a 50K foot race, whatever's your thing).

The owner was very responsive and helpful; at the last minute we wanted to add a night to our stay and she was very accommodating. We had a fantastic time during our stay and hope to make it back soon!

Centrally located, comfortable, private, well appointed home away

The home is surrounded by a tall fence providing a feeling of seclusion and security. The home was clean and appropriately appointed with nice furniture, artwork, books, quality appliances and most of what you might need. We especially enjoyed the covered patio off the dining room. Not having to park our car on the street was a huge plus.

From what we could observe the area seemed very safe. There's a bodega down the street on the corner of Silver Lake Blvd for those little items you forgot and don't feel the need to drive. Sunset Blvd is walking distance (about 3 blocks) in the other direction. There you'll find lots of little restaurants, shops and local color. Most anything else will require transportation (car, Uber, etc.).

We will stay here again and we recommend it to anyone needing a central LA "home base" on their next visit to SoCal.

Modern and spacious well appointed respite from the bustle of the city

A great home to come back to after the bustle of the city. The yard and outdoor seating area added a lot to our enjoyment. The house and surround felt secure and the locked parking is a good feature. Disneyland, LACMA, the Getty and Venice were all highlights of our week.

We liked LeeLah Thai restaurant on Silverlake Blvd as well as Esperanza on Hyperion.

House in a fantastic location for exploring the sights of Hollywood .

Property felt very secure and safe - the layout is perfect for a family to share.

Some parts of the house were impeccable , lounge and main bedroom / en suite were very smartly renovated .

The kitchen and main bathroom could do with some TLC - we felt that the kitchen could have done with a clean and we had small issues with plugs in sinks not working.

Tiles in min bathroom were raised up and potentially dangerous and many bulbs in light fittings did not work

The garden area was very spacious and sunny all day but sun lounger cushions were stained and could have done to be replaced .

However , the above points would not deter us from re-visiting and did not spoil our stay.
