Conveniently located modern style home in the Passyunk neighborhood of Philadelphia. This charming neighborhood has the best of what Philly has to offer! Easy walk to all the nearby attractions such as Independence Mall, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, & City Hall.

House home is within walking distance to many great amenities and landmarks:

Pat and Geno's are located across the street from our house! Cheese steaks and cheese fries 24/7.

The historic Italian Market is one block north and one block east from our house. This outdoor Italian market forum is the home to many long standing local delights. There are many great vendors specializing in produce, specialty meats and cheeses (Di Bruno Brothers), olive oils, pastas, and not to mention a place to get one of the best ever Italian Hoagies at Paesano's. We recommend visiting Isgros Bakery and Termini Bros Bakery for cannoli, Italian cookies, and other specialty pastries and sweets.

If you go two blocks south from our house you will hit the famous East Passyunk Avenue, also known as, the best restaurant row in America. This strip contains many unique establishments for dining and shopping. Including great restaurants specializing in Italian, French, Norwegian, Japanese, and traditional American style cuisine. Many of them are also BYOB!

Our house faces Capitolo park with a community garden, baseball field, soccer field, basketball field, and children’s playground. There is a CVS and ACME food market one and a half blocks away for any grocery shopping, merchandise, and beauty/cosmetic needs.

Our location provides easy access to center city Philadelphia. The broad street line (underground metro) is located 4 blocks away and good for public transportation if you don’t want to walk to center city or the stadiums. It cost $2.25 for a token one way. If you want to walk our home is conveniently located 1 mile from Independence Hall, 1.5 miles away from City Hall, and 2 miles from Benjamin Franklin Parkway/Art Museum Area. These landmarks are a very smooth and scenic walk away. Also, 1 block from our home is a city bike share which allows for the ability to rent bikes for just a quick ride or even the full day.

Our home has a spacious wide open floor plan, two floors, plus a finished basement and back patio. It’s a three bedrooms house. One bedroom has a king size bed, another bedroom has a queen, and third bedroom has a full bed. All three bedrooms are very spacious rooms.

As hosts, we can be your full time resources/concierges to help plan your trip and answer any questions you may have. We were born and raised in Philly and very knowledgeable about the area. As native Philadelphians we are happy to provide recommendations upon request. We look forward to to hosting you and sharing our lovely space. We just ask that you treat our home as if it were your own.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Staying at Maggie and Dave's was an excellent experience. This was my first time in Philly, and through phone and email communication they made me feel welcome in this new city. They provided some excellent recommendations and I felt that I wasn't visiting a city - I was living there. To add to this, the location was great and the house is amazing. I highly recommend staying here and will do so again in the future.

For Business Travellers too

  • 5 of 5

It is located just outside the hustle and bustle of downtown, a quick Uber ride to anywhere in the city (and quick to pick-up), short ride to the convention center and the sports arenas. Great spaces to set up the working office and a great stay all around.

Beautiful South Philly Home

  • 5 of 5

Great house that is larger than it looks in the photos. In a fun part of town that has a good variety of options for food and bars, and is convenient to the rest of the city. Our host made sure we have everything we needed.

Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We were having a really hard time finding a place to stay in Philly for a large group for Made in America Festival. Maggie and David opened their beautiful home to our group. Great space, great location, great hosts. Thank you again for sharing your home with us! We really enjoyed ourselves.

Wonderful home and hosts

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Maggie and Dave's as a group of friends during the DNC. It was absolutely perfect for us. It has everything you could possibly need and the space is very comfortable for even 8 people to sleep and eat in and feel very at home. We loved having the little terrace jus t off the kitchen outside for breakfasts and the living- dining area for food prep and eating while watching the tv in the evening. It was easy to catch the bus to the center and the Italian food around the neighborhood was fabulous. Maggie was very responsive from the start of our correspondence and went well beyond the extra mile in her kind hospitality when we were there. It felt like we were using a friends house. We can highly recommend this place for any stay in Philladelphie as a home away from home.

Excellent property. It was large enough for our 10 member family and very well located.

Maggie and David thank you for sharing your home with us. I am sorry this evaluation is so late. I had sent it two other evaluations but did not give it a star rating - I just didn't pay attention and they apparently did not get sent.

Your home was so convenient. We were close to all the stores we needed, to many restaurants and the park across the street that gave us a green space for us to enjoy. Your kitchen was well stocked with the dishes, pots and pans, etc that we needed. Our first day we walked into the center of the historic district, so it is certainly doable. The following days we had quite varied agendas so we took our van.

Thank you so much for all the information you left us on attractions. We did our darn-est to see it all and it would have been very hard without your suggestions, pamphlets and your own ideas.

Your home is very convenient on the inside and well appointed. My 8 year old granddaughter loved the out door patio. She thought the plants needed water soooo hope they were not over watered. The downstairs family room was just right for us to end our days all stretch out in our PJs to watch a movie.

The only thing that was an incontinence was parking for our van.

I and my family would certainly recommend your home to others.

Thank you. Mary Ellen Mylrea
