About The Owner

My husband and I were both born and raised in the area. My husband is self-employed and I work part-time in an orthopedic office. We have a son, daughter, three grandchildren, and a border collie. We both enjoy the outdoors and this area has so much to offer with The Virginia Creeper Trail, Barter Theatre and many great restaurants.

Why The Owner chose Abingdon

My husband built the cabin over a three year period, initially as a guest house on our property. In 2011, we began renting it out and it has been a great experience. We love the area and feel it has so much to offer our guests.

What makes this cabin unique

Virginia Creeper Trail, Barter Theatre, Heartwood Artisan Museum, antiques, Bristol Motor Speedway, hiking.

Will be back!!

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I so enjoyed our stay at the Old Fairview Cabin. Very clean, well equipped, and convenient to Abington. Felt more like a houseguest than just a renter. Owners were very accommodating and made us feel welcome. Already looking forward to my next visit.

It was as wonderful as the pictures

The owners were very personable and great to work with. The cabin was better than we had hoped. Ringo was very friendly and was also a great host. The wildlife was nice to watch over morning coffee. As of yet I've never experienced a better home away from home. For a relaxing getaway this is the place.

Much , much more that what I expected from a rental!!!

What an amazing surprise was this little house. When you open the door everything is so clean and very well decorated. The owner Phyllis came to greed us and she and her husband were SUPER nice, they were willing to help if we need anything. In this cottage was everything what you possible can think of, they went BEYOND all expectations!!! We really enjoy the quite place , feels like to be in the country but the location is very convenient : In Abington and very close to 58 and 81to go to Damascus and many other places. We will try to go again because it was a pleasure to stay there.
