Casa Caroma is a beautiful detached traditional Spanish villa in the hills to the side of the white village of Mijas.
Modernised and with every comfort it sleeps 6 and has a stunning free-form kidney shaped swimming pool 10m x 5m on the main patio.
For the sun-worshippers the villa has colourful patios that gather every sunbeam from early morning sunrise to the last minute when it falls. Indeed the views from the house look east and south across the Mediterranean over
Benalmadena and Fuengirola and west as far as Gibraltar and the Sierra de Mijas mountains. Fantastic!
Inside the property is fully air-conditioned (cold and hot), there is also a feature log burning fire, TV, DVD, Video and Satellite..even an iPod compatable sound dock.
All three bedrooms are different with the master sporting an en-suite bathroom to compliment the further bathroom and the down-stairs toilet. The master bedroom also has a feature turret and is massive.
The urbanisation is very pretty and private.
Golf: You will be spoiled for choice. Alhaurin Golf is 5 min away by car. Professionally designed it is a must to play!
Not only a Seve designed 18 hole course but a very testing par 3 course and a driving range.
Within 10km no less than 10 courses to choose from! Try Mijas Golf and La Cala.
Ski Southern Spain: From around December to after Easter it is possible to leave the house and within 2 hours be on the slopes in the Sierra Nevada. One day we skied in the morning and had a BBQ on the beach in the early afternoon.Try it!
I just wanted to thank you for letting us rent your beautiful house in Mijas.
We really loved it and enjoyed every minute of our 2 week stay.
We will be back:-)
And thanks for helping us with the few questions we had during our stay.
My husband and I recently stayed at Villa Caroma for a week with our 4 children aged 17,9, 4 and 3 years and had the most wonderful holiday. The villa is beautiful and very spacious and has amazing views, out to sea on one side and mountains on the other. The whole area is breathtaking. We have never stayed in Mijas before and will definitely be returning in the near future, it is a picturesque village and pretty much unspoilt by tourism with its quaint streets and whitewashed buildings. The owner Chris is extremely helpful and very efficient. Everything was very easy and stress free from the time of booking, including the directions and collection of keys. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Caroma to anyone who wishes to enjoy the beauty of Mijas and the surrounding areas and stay in a well furnished and equipped villa. The villa is in a quiet area but yet within very easy reach of all resorts and restaurants so you get the best of both worlds. Although the villa is in a quiet area there is no risk of feeling isolated as there are neighbouring villas and also tennis courts and communal swimming pools with an excellent bar and restaurant close by. The photos are very true images of the villa and the interior and a great deal of time has been taken in choosing the decor and furniture, which are of very high standard. We have stayed in many villas before but I can honestly say the lounge/dining room, bedrooms and bathrooms were amongst the best. The large swimming pool and terraces were perfect and there were plenty of shaded areas and outdoor seating. The villa is large enough and has enough separate outdoor terraces for everybody to enjoy their space and privacy.
Finally we would just like to thank Chris for allowing us to share your beautiful Villa we hope to return in the very near future.
We had a wonderful family holiday for 2 weeks in August. The villa is really accurately described and is well equpped for a great family holiday , the views were a lovely surprise. Mijas is a great town to be near with lots to see and explore and bags of Spanish charm. Our children 13,12 and 7 all rated it as there best holiday so far. We explored the local area and took a trip to the Alhambra in Granda an easy drive away and well worth it. In short Caroma is a great villa an easy drive from Malaga in a fabulous town of Mijas in a great area of Spain .
Chris Hodges (owner) was great at getting back to me with references and answers to many questions, to put my mind at rest.
We would like to thank for you for renting us Caroma for 2 great weeks in August (08). Our daughters, Anna 9 and Kay 7 could not be dragged away from the pool and David and I just chilled for the 14 days. Your description of the villa and the village was perfect. Calm, peaceful, convenient and the village so family friendly that we wanted to stay forever. We managed to drag the kids to the beach on the second day. Thereafter they were happy with the pool, the inflatables and the sun. Thanks again it was magical. See you next year. Kim and David Bainbridge Cobham Surrey UK.

Mijas Pueblo or village is a wonderful place to wander about at your leisure and is home to many bars, restaurants and shops. It even has a great wine museum stocked full of Spanish 'vino' and hosts informal tastings for a little as 5 Euro for 3 different samples! Less than 10 minutes away is the coastal town of Fuengirola which comes with hundreds of shops, supermarkets and a at least 4 new shopping malls. If you want night-life this is the place to be.
Nearby you will be spoiled for choice for sandy beaches with La Cala boasting one of the areas best.
Within 10km of the villa you will find 10 golf courses all of a very high standard and very challenging. Best book ahead as they are popular all year round. In the villa is a comprehensive and regularly updated 'what to do' guide which can be supplemented with a trip to the tourist office in the village centre.
If you want to lie by the pool all day the urbanisation has two bar restaurants within a 5 minute stroll from the villa
