|Minimum Stay||2 - 7 nights|
This vacation home is located in the beautiful community, Oak Island Harbor off of US Highway 192. Oak Island Harbor is right in the middle of multiple restaurants and shops off of 192. This home is equipped with everything your family will need to enjoy a fun, relaxing vacation here in Florida! 4 bed pool home sleeps 8. Great pool area, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, wifi, cable tv. Has everything you need to feel at home. Two stories with master bedroom on ground floor and half bath as well.
The house is in a nice location. Close to everything. But there are many things wrong, or went wrong with our stay. The house furnishings are old and outdated, especially the kitchen pots and pans. I went out and bought a fry pan myself. The cleanliness however left a lot to be desired. There was dirt in the corners of the kitchen. The master bedroom furniture had a quarter inch of dust on the dressers, and the rugs throughout the whole house haven't been shampooed in years. when we first walked on the rug barefoot, our feet were very dirty. We wore shoes the rest of the time.
The pool water appeared clear, but there were many particles of dirt etc. floating on the surface, which leads me to believe that the filter was not working properly. I called the rental/maintenance company, and they sent someone out the next day. His solution: He got the net and scooped out a few items then put a hose in the water to let more water trickle in. It didn't solve the issue. By the way the net that is there to take debris out of the pool was only about four feet long, and wouldn't reach the bottom of the high end which is about 7 ft. deep.
The phone was out of order the whole two weeks, which rendered the home alarm useless, and it would beep once a day to let you know it was in trouble mode. It would beep until you acknowledged it. I called this issue in the first day we were there. No repair.
The most ridiculous occurrence however was with the clothes dryer. The dryer would turn, but it wouldn't dry the clothes. I called maintenance again. I told them that the problem was probably a blocked vent pipe They sent a repair man out (the same guy who looked at the pool). He turned the dryer on for a bit, and said, as I told them, that the vent must be blocked. His solution; disconnect the dryer from the vent and told us to run it that way and that he would get someone over to clean out the vent. Ten days later, when we left, no one ever came. Fortunately this was an electric dryer, and not a gas dryer. Otherwise you would be taking your guests out on a stretcher after carbon monoxide poising.
A note to the owner, if you get to see this response. If you dont want to update your house, at least get a responsible management/maintenance company who will keep your place clean and in working order.
Everything was perfect, the house is very big and the location is perfect. Very close to Disney.
Due to a very short reservation time, we only had a problem finding the property, as we didn't receive any confirmation of such reservation, therefore no address or directions.
We finally tracked it thru the payment and thru a different property owner that was very helpful (3 hours after our arrival) Throughout our stay, we did not receive a single contact with the owner whatsoever.
The property itself is incredibly nice, very comfy and proper, we would surely come back.
We needed a house fast because our flight got was delayed 3 days because of the snow storm so we found this one and couldn't be happier. It was very comfortable for the 8 people we were with. I would rent it when we come back to Orlando.
