peaceful,relaxing,really enjoyable

  • 4 of 5

From the start everything went like clockwork, met at apartment by Tony from Roda FM, showed us where everything was and how to work everything. The apartment was clean and well equipped we had the use of the owners bikes which was a major bonus, not only did it help us getting about the resort and surrounding area and kept a few pounds off. I would recommend having a car if you want to tour the area, but we managed without one even though we are both in our 60s. You dont have to play golf to be on this golf resort as it is not that far from shops and restaurants. We both had a lovely months stay 28 days of sunshine and would could stay in this apartment again.

Great apartment on lovely complex

  • 5 of 5

This is a great apartment, clean and spacious with great Wi-Fi (kids happy) and fantastic air con (me happy - Believe me we needed it!). Lovely pool and lovely facilities with lots of places to eat/choose from all within a five to ten minute drive. A car is a must even around the site (for the less mobile) it's huge! If you're happy to drive then I would strongly recommend. Great value for money. This place was a grower for me, initially I liked it but as the days went by I grew to love it - So relaxing.

Little Solace for us..

  • 2 of 5

Booked this apartment for a short break and were swayed by the availability of bikes to use.

Unfortunately the key to the garage wasn't available so the bike stayed locked away. The property manager managed to find a couple which we used once but it was inconvenient as we had to collect and drop off at the office in Roda village.

The apartments were in the middle of exterior renovation works (which had been planned for a while) We were surrounded by shouting builders who were sandblasting the next block (very noisy and dusty) which started at 8.00 in the morning and finished at 18.00. Our lunch outside on the terrace was cut short and we went out for the afternoon to escape the noise.

The apartment is along way from the entrance and a car really is necessary.

It was reasonably well equipped for cooking meals with a powerful shower and comfortable beds.

We ate at the Nepali Indian on the main road one night which was excellent.

Wifi would be beneficial.

Los Alcazares is a lovely quiet town and the seafront walk is spectacular.

Quality Apartment, Ideally placed & Top Location

  • 5 of 5

We'd stayed at Roda Golf before and couldn't wait to go back again. This time as a Family (x2 Adults & x2 Very young Children) we were after a Ground floor apartment close to a Pool. We couldn't have asked for more. From the minute I'd sorted out very easily the booking with (Stephen) who I cannot thank enough. Friendly, informative & there to answer all my questions prior to making the booking and afterwards also. The Apartment is perfect. Big, spacious, very clean and has all of your needs for any length of timed stay. Probably the best shower I've ever used and used it twice as so so good. Ideally placed with few yards from the pool and ideally placed on Phase 3. I'd stayed on Phase 1 before and even though it's near the main entrance n Club house found it too noisy late at night at time. Phase 3 had a back entrance & exit and everyone hires a Car whilst in the Mar Menor so it makes no difference and you have the tranquility each night. I've fell head over heels with the Murcia region as this is Spain at its best and where the Locals come for there breaks & hold so u know it's got to be good. Everyday there is something different to do. I totally love the sun and like to lounge but I like to get out n about just as much. The Mar Menor makes u get around and La Manga on the Med side is must, Cabo de Palos for a Seafood much at its best at Miramar rest in the harbour, Calabanque natural park off road is a thrill and takes u into the wilderness, Cartagena will have you drolling at the Roman history & art. Then there's Lo Pagan Mud flats that were a must and as smelly as it is left my skin feeling x20 yrs younger ! There's tons n tons more but that's for you to discover and Los Alcazares is ur closest location and had everything g u need for Bars & Restaurants but get out n about !! I would definitely recommend this Apartment & resort without a doubt to anyone and will be booking again in the coming years as you get so much for a Hol. Thanks (Stephen) for out time at SOLACE !! Cheers Colin :)

Really spacious, Clean and very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This is an apartment I would love to pick up and move just a little closer to the town/ beach. Having said that if you hire a car as I did you will be fine.

The apartment was absolutely fantastic and had every thing you could ask for plus more besides. It was really comfortable with great air conditioning. The kitchen was spacious and again had every thing. The showers were really powerful and certainly woke me up in the morning.

Roda Golf resort is quite huge with 1200 Apartments with 2 more phases to be built at some point, however the whole resort was spotlessly clean. The security is also very good with 2 entry gates being manned with security guards who always very courteous and polite.

Now for the Golfers, just brilliant, the course is quite challenging (for me anyway)but quite amazing and actually run so I am led to believe by De Vere hotels. It cost 45 euros per round with buggy. There is also a very good restaurant at the Club House which the food, the service and the price was probably the best in the area and this includes the restaurants in town. If you are looking for fine dining In the area, then forget it. This was the only gripe I have with the whole experience. The food is really over priced and fairly basic. No fresh veg here. To be honest if the restaurants served the food at the prices they were actually getting here in the UK then they would not last 2 minutes. Actually there was one restaurant that was quite good and that was Angela's Italian at the bottom of the Plaza, Maybe it is just me and my expectations are just too high for a good restaurant because they were all very busy.

There are some very good supermarkets around with some fantastic fish available, good choices of Veg and meats and anything else you could think of, that is of course if you don't mind cooking.

The Beaches of which there are plenty are very good and the water is shallow so if you have children it will be as safe as you can get.

Would I go again - yes

Would I go to Roda Golf Resort - Yes but only if I hired a car

Would I stay in the same apartment - 100% Yes.

Great holiday!

  • 5 of 5

This is the 2nd year we have stayed in this apartment and it was even better than last year. We have already booked again for next year we love it so much! The apartment itself is lovely, very clean and spacious and has everything you would need for a few weeks stay. The owners are very helpful and provide an excellent service, as do Roda FM. The nearest pool is very close by and that is where we spent most of our days.

The clubhouse on the resort provides very good food and is a nice place to spend the evening, only a 20min walk or short bike ride away. Also highly recommended for food etc is Campbell's which is 5 mins from the main gate.

There is a good choice of eateries on the main strip. We enjoyed every meal we had. There is also plenty of choice at the closest supermarkets and everything was priced very reasonably.

We spent a few days at the beach where the water is lovely and there is a great atmoshere. All in all, we love this apartment & resort for a relaxing holiday. There are also lots of places to visit nearby if you want variety. Looking forward to going back! Thanks Stephen and Janet
