I would not recommend this home due to its location and neighborhood. This neighborhood has very small lots with houses 10 feet apart. The home has no views other than walls of neighboring homes and has a very dark, dim feel. This was not what we had in mind for a vacation rental. Also, the location is rather remote in regards to any restaurants or commerce since it seems to be an area of new development. We would not have minded this fact if we would have felt that we were among nature with some scenic views. However, the one plus side of the location was the proximity to the Sonoran Desert Preserve (about a 5 minute drive) where we took several hikes.
The house itself is relatively new and in good condition. Unit was clean other than the dishes (the dishwasher does not work well at all). All bedrooms were upstairs with 2 bathrooms. The main level had a kitchen area, a living room, laundry, and a bathroom. It has a nicely landscaped small patio, but feels like you are in an urban setting due to the tight lot configurations. The outdoor grill had no propane, but the home was otherwise well stocked with necessities. The kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to cook many meals at the home. DirecTV and Roku were great to have on a couple of rainy days during our stay. There is a community pool, but it was not heated and very cold in February.
The home was in excellent and very clean condition inside and out.It was very well stocked, even w/ laundry detergent and fab. softener. The furniture was comfortable as well as the beds. The location is N. Phoenix in a newer gated community so we always felt safe. many good restaurants w/in 10 min. We would definitely rent here again!
We planned a March trip to take in some Cactus League spring training baseball with our adult kids. The home met our expectations and needs quite well. It is in a quiet, gated community. During my early morning walks, I was able to watch numerous hot air balloons launch nearby. Our son and son-in-law were able to golf on two courses within 15 minutes from the house. This is a quality property that we would gladly stay in on future trips to Phoenix.
As recent empty-nesters, we were very grateful to fly out to Arizona with our 2 college students and meet our son from Colorado. While we only saw him for the weekend, we toured the Grand Canyon, drove through and ate in Sedona, visited Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral and ate in downtown Phoenix! After his departure the rest of us went to 2 spring training games, hung out by the pool, bbq'd and watched movies. This house was absolutely perfect for our mini-reunion. We had enough space for a bit of privacy with all the amenities of home. I loved making breakfast for all of us again! The home was beautiful and very comfortable. It was in a friendly gated neighborhood where we could park in the garage and the pool was just a short walk away. The pool was chilly in March (we were the only visitors) but the hot tub was nice and relaxing. Shopping and restaurants were a couple miles away. The homeowner was responsive to our questions and we booked everything online without any issues. Beds were comfy and towels were plentiful, bring a hair dryer though (I couldn't find one). I would definitely recommend to a friend and hope to visit again with more time to tour Sedona!
