Clearwater House is a spacious home located on the inland side of historic Boggy Sand Road, one of the oldest and most charming residential streets in Grand Cayman. Access to SMB is only 323 ft from the driveway.

The location of Clearwater House really is fantastic. You'll have a unique island experience staying here; all the beauty of Seven Mile Beach without the crowds of staying on the "condo corridor". A grocery store, pharmacy, bank, liquor store and restaurants are withing walking distance. When you are ready for a night out, the corridor restaurants and amenities are only 3-5 miles away.

The home is light-filled and spacious. Guests are surprised at how large the home feels because of the open floor plan and windows. The home’s interior is tastefully decorated with a "barefoot luxury" look and feel. The open living, dining and kitchen spaces feature an 11-foot long, counter-height bar creating the perfect spot for large families and groups of friends to gather while cooking or mixing cocktails. Plenty of windows bring the "outdoors in" and allow for prime viewing of the gazebo, pool and pool space to give you the indoor/outdoor communal experience of Caribbean living.

The living room is equipped with a 60” HDTV, DVD player and fiber-optic cable with 119 channels including HBO, Disney, ESPN, Fox Sports and NFL Network. We have a 3-zone Sonos system to play your favorite music inside and out.

The outside living spaces are truly special; private pool, large pool area with plenty of seating and a spacious screened gazebo. The property is enclosed with a privacy wall and has a long set-back from the nearest neighbor so your family or group can sit back and relax. You could easily spend an entire day and evening enjoying the pool and outdoor space that Clearwater House has to offer.

And the Beach!! All the beaches in Grand Cayman are public and this spot, being at the north end of SMB, is incredible. The beach access path is 323 ft from the driveway and, since Boggy Sand Road is a tiny, and not a through street, we do not have many visitors so the beach feels like your own slice of paradise. You can sit and relax looking out at the clear, turquoise water with the best off-shore snorkeling that Seven Mile Beach has to offer. The U.S. Kittiwake reef and dive site is located straight out from Boggy Sand Beach. For something different, and for more shade, Cemetery Beach is only an 8-9 minute walk from the home.

Many people from around the island head to the sea wall by Boggy Sand Road just to catch the amazing sunsets. At this sea wall, where Boggy Sand Road begins, you will also find Heritage Kitchen, the well known island restaurant famous for its simplicity, fresh fish and fresh juices.

-Nearby causal restaurants within walking distance include Heritage Kitchen, Alfresco's, Boggy Sand Cafe, 24-hr Subway and West Bay Diner.

-Finer dining restaurants a short drive away (1.8 mi) include: Calypso Grill, Catch and Morgan's Harbor; all favorites.

-Hotel, numerous restaurants along the SMB corridor, and Camana Bay ( a shopping center with a movie theater) are only 3 - 4.5 miles away.

-Nearby attractions include the Cayman Turtle Farm and Dolphin Discovery (1.8 mi), Cemetery Beach (0.6 mi), West Bay Beach Boat Ramp (0.25 mi), Yacht Club Boat Ramp (2.0 mi), Ritz Carlton Blue-Tip Golf Course (3.7 mi), Safehaven Dock and Northsound Golf Course (3.8 mi) and a curious little town called Hell (1.8 mi).

About Tim Wheeler & Kathy Dearmond

We are from Dallas, Texas but love the warm weather and beach. Our many family beach vacations took us to Cayman a few years ago …and we knew this was it!

Grand Cayman now feels like home to us. We have four generations of our family visiting at times and having a private home allows us to enjoy our valuable family time away from the crowds.

We have worked very hard to make CH a wonderful place for our family and friends and genuinely enjoy sharing our home with other families, couples and groups of friends who come to Cayman on holiday.

Cayman felt like home instantly. The people are friendly, the beaches are fantastic, the water is crystal-clear, calm and warm, and the marine life is incredible. All that with luxury living and gourmet restaurants to make life comfortable.

Once we decided to make Grand Cayman our home, we spent the next 2 years exploring the island and trying to find our perfect slice of paradise. The charm and location of Boggy Sand Road is so unique - we knew it was Boggy Sand Road or nothing. Boggy Sand Beach is without a doubt our favorite part of Seven Mile Beach; absolutely stunning sunsets and wonderful snorkeling and marine life. We see so many great things at the beach and reef: sea turtles mating in the summer, vibrant coral and all kind of fish and other marine life.

We love that this location is quiet, relaxing and away from the more crowded parts of the Seven Mile Beach condo corridor and a fun night out is only a 5-7 minute drive away. Plus we can walk to Heritage Kitchen for great fresh fish and juices!

What makes this house unique

The pool and outdoor entertaining areas provide days and evenings of fun. A short walk down the picturesque Boggy Sand Road brings you to Boggy Sand Beach; to the right of the beach access point is a reef with the very best off-shore snorkeling on the island; to the left - sand and sun.

The best house in the Caymans

This was our second time visiting the Kathy & Tim's Clearwater House. The house is beautifully appointed, comfortable, has everything you need from the kitchen to the snorkel gear and truly one of the best locations on the island. You have a very short walk to awesome snorkeling and a private beach, a big pool for lazy afternoons, and very short drives to the best restaurants on the island. The best part of the house though is Kathy & Tim who are wonderful, gracious hosts and give excellent recommendations on everything from restaurants to snorkel sights. Visiting them is like visiting family....can't wait for our next trip to Grand Cayman!

A gorgeous house, just a short walk to a perfect beach.

Comfortable, well appointed and private. Out of the craziness of 7 Mile Beach. Kathleen was super nice, helpful and responsive. We could not have been happier and would definitely come back!

Awesome location, home & pool

The location is great. A car is necessary for exploring the island but our family enjoyed spending the day at the beach area snorkeling and hanging at the pool. The snorkeling is really amazing: kids saw squid, blue tang, lobsters and tons of reef fish. House has everything you need and linens and amenities are all very nicely done. Don't hesitate to book and if you are lucky enough to see Kathy on island take all her recommendations.

Amazing Accommodations and location

We enjoyed a week of family (10) vacation in this wonderful house and the location was great. We were just across the road from seven mile beach; an easy walk to some great snorkeling. It is conveniently located for a terrific local restaurant as welll as a major grocery store for supplies. The snorkeling just steps away was wonderful. The home itself is very well taken care of and everything you might need is available from cooking to items needed for time in the water. Kathy, is always available for help or advise - no matter what your needs. The home has a beautiful pool - it is difficult to decide what to do - pool or ocean! We certainly would return to this lovely home.

this is a perfect place for a family vacation

I typically do not give positive reviews to places we stay as it increases competition for future rentals but this is an exception. A typical day....coffee by the beautiful pool, after breakfast we head to the beach, some of us then swim out to the reef for a +/- hour snorkel. Lunch, several times we went to the local Heritage Kitchen for grouper (excellent). Mid afternoon back to the house and the pool which gets some afternoon shade(good for the kids and all to get out of the sun). The house accommodated 10 of us comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed. With 10 of us the washer & dryer were used daily and the beds were very comfortable. Probably the best feature of all was Kathy, the owner. She will go out of her way to make sure you have a great stay....recommendations for restaurants, Stingray City, shopping.....if you have a question, just ask Kathy. We definitely want to go back

Perfect and Well Prepared for our Stay!!

We had an excellent time in the Caymans. Our first time there, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Kathy is an excellent host and has taken care of the finest of details from Q=tips to Sharp Knives in the kitchen. Lots of Bath and Pool Towels, Beds are comfortable, TV's in every room, Internet Surround Stereo. Plenty of room for the 8 of us to spread out. House is well maintained and well stocked. We would stay here again without a doubt. We have stayed in many getaway homes and resorts and would rate this with the Gold Crown Quality! Debbie

A $25.00 per person, per day fee will be charged for non-registered guests using the Property and amenities. We need to charge additional cleaning fees for groups over 8 people to cover laundry and linens: Cleaning Fees: $350 per stay for 1-8 people; $450 for 8-10 people; $550 for 11-12 people (if approved); $650 for 13-14 people (if approved). Per person applies to children 2.0 years or older. Additional cleaning fees may apply for stays longer than one week, more than 10 guests, if approved, or events. A $150 fee may be charged for pressure washing grill if grill and grill area requires excessive cleaning of grease and food items.
