About Ivy del Pozzo
After 20 years of a career in costuming for competitive ballroom dancing I decided it was time to make a BIG move. My love of the Mexican culture, as well as a strong desire to make a difference, brought me to the highlands of Chiapas more than 25 years ago. My desire to connect with people and my skill with conflict resolution led me to work in Indian Human Rights and the preservation of the rain forest. My Spanish language skills were developed at this time and are today important cornerstones enabling me to work here in San MIguel on a bilingual basis. Loving where I live has led me to want to share the experience of San Miguel with world travelers offering them the opportunity to stay in the casita in my home and view the town a bit through my eyes. I am here to help during your visit but definately give you the space you need to have your own experience. It has also led me to working in the real estate business with Coldwell Banker SMART giving me the opportunity to Live the Dream and and help others start a new chapter of their life here finding their Dream Home as well.

Wonderful home in a great location!
We loved had a wonderful stay at Casa Contenta. The space was perfect- well decorated and appointed and very clean! The large windows let in a nice breeze and beautiful light. The bed was very comfortable and having the two bathrooms was a plus! We'd definitely stay there again and would recommend it highly to others traveling to San Miguel!
All that was promised and more!
Ivy has a beautiful and well located spot in SM. It was close to the town centre, but even closer to another part of town that I liked even better. I had one free day and did what Ivy suggested...walked up the road right outside my window and it was the loveliest road I found and great restaurants and shops so close to home! The walk to town is NOT flat! It is uphill, but taxis are just $2.50 and abundant, so that's how I usually got around. I would definitely stay here again if I return to San Miguel.
Lovely casita, perfect location.
My husband stayed for a week in this lovely casita. It was perfect for us as it has a kitchen, living room, bedroom and two bathrooms. The location is perfect as you can walk to Centro in minutes. San Miguel de Allende is the most beautiful city with wonderful shopping and restaurants. The best part is the people, everyone is so friendly. Staying in a comfortable casita makes it all the better and working with Ivy who manages it was most pleasant. We would highly recommend.
Great spot and wonderful Host
My wife and I visited San Miguel Allende for five days, and we could not have picked a better spot to stay. Our host, Ivy, meet us at her home, showed us all the wonderful features, and helped us with other recommendations about San Miguel Allende itself. Ivy was also available whenever we had questions. In short, a great host. The home is wonderfully decorated, clean, comfortable, and ideally located to walk to the center of San Miguel Allende. It is a beautiful, safe home in which to say, and we highly recommend it.
This Casita was great !
Very clean loved the home comfy feeling everything you need great location
We will definitely stay again 😊
Lovely Mexican Casita
My wife and I stayed at the one bedroom Casita for a week from October 29th to November 8th. Ivy was there to greet us, and make sure we settled in nicely. She had great recommendations for restaurants and Dia de Muertos activities.
The casita was very comfortable, cosy, with a lovely Mexican decor; very authentic.
In the kitchen there was a full size fridge and four burner gas stove, and microwave oven.
There is no air conditioning as the Casita has three large floor to ceiling windows to keep the air flowing nicely.
The beds were very comfortable and the one and half baths were a great size and gave us enough room to spread out. The doors were nice to reduce the sounds of the dogs in the morning.
Great location for walking into town; such a colorful vibe in San Miguel de Allende.
Lots of great places to eat, and shop. Coffee is fantastic! The center of town is so close; we really enjoyed watching the street artists and Dia de Muertos festivities.
Ivy was a wonderful host, very caring and attentive.
If we had any questions, or needed a recommendation; she was right there to help us.
We would definately come back!
