The sand-dollar chalet home is a beachfront, premium property with spectacular ocean views from all main living spaces and from the master bedroom. This 3 bedroom/2.5 bath home sleeps 7 very comfortably. The open floor plan is amazing with an expansive living area 50' feet in length from front to back and 30' feet across at the back wall of windows, offering unobstructed ocean views. The notable absence of interior walls is complemented by original heart-of-pine hardwood floors, and plank-wood & beam ceilings painted bright white to complete the authenticity of this original new smyrna beach chalet.

The "Coastal Living/Southern Homes" designer theme continues from the main living/dining area into the two guest bedrooms downstairs, one with its own bathroom. Follow the charming, curvy stairwell upstairs and you will immediately be captivated by the king-sized master bedroom with cathedral ceiling, elegant chandelier, and wall-to-wall windows. From the 2nd-floor master balcony, almost 40' feet in length, you will enjoy breathtaking sunrise views of the ocean and the pool deck below. The master bath is equally stunning; complete with a large spa-tub, over-sized walk in shower, toilet & bidet, and full laundry facilities. The entire upstairs master area measures an impressive 34' x 23' feet!

From the main floor downstairs, stepping out back through the glass sliding doors, you will immediately know you chose the best property when you walk across the tropical, IPE' Brazilian-wood deck that runs the entire length of the house. The central feature of the deck is a new saltwater pool with heated spa. To complete the 'ocean view/private pool deck' experience during your stay, there is also a stainless steel BBQ grill and a table-top gas fire-pit, surrounded with plenty of comfortable seating.

From anywhere on this expansive deck- lined with native, tropical palm trees and Sea Grapes for privacy- you will enjoy the sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean at the edge of white, sandy beaches just below the property. To access the beach simply step off the pool deck onto a sand pathway through the manicured, tropically planted back yard, which leads down a small sand dune. There, at the edge of the property, the Best Beach in Central Florida awaits you!

Why Natasja of Turtle Town Vacation Rentals chose Florida Central Atlantic Coast

Long-time personal friends of mine purchased this extraordinary, Cape Cod-style beach house in 2012. Although in very good condition they spared no expense with improvements including a new metal roof, new siding, and a premium quality saltwater pool and spa enveloped in an exotic, Brazilian hardwood deck, with beautiful tropical landscaping.

(The “Ipe” wood used on these decks is one of the densest hardwoods and has the same fire rating as concrete and steel. This wood is flame resistant- bug resistant- and mildew resistant, and will not float in water. It is an expensive, premium product, but as a decking material it may last 25-years to half a century!)

Interior décor at nice homes like this can be challenging when the owner’s style is ‘unique’ or otherwise incompatible with rental guests’ expectations. Once inside this property, however, you’ll immediately see the interior design is impeccable in taste, simplicity, comfort, and elegance. The photos say it all, and it is even more impressive in person so you will not be disappointed. (Yes, my friends are awesome!)

Finally, there is location: Although in a very private and secluded oceanfront setting, this property may be accessed by the main 4-lane road from the mainland without navigating various busy roads across our narrow, coastal barrier island. Travelers reserving during peak times will definitely appreciate this easy access that avoids traffic!

Also, unlike oceanfront homes further north or south of the main town, this property in a Central-Beach location places you in the heart of town only a couple of blocks from a dozen restaurants, groceries, pharmacies, bars, bike and surfboard rentals, moped rentals, etc. No need to compromise when you can have it all- at my absolute favorite house in all of NSB!

What makes this house unique

As a frequent guest of the owners I have many fond memories at this beach chalet which, as I’ve described, is my absolute favorite house in New Smyrna Beach. It combines the incredible charm and character of that flawless room at a Bed & Breakfast, with the 5-star premium amenities found only at luxury resort properties. The serene, oceanfront setting directly on the beach offers private relaxation, and yet the property is located so close to everything you could park the car and walk or ride bikes during your entire stay.

A block or two away you may rent motor scooters, bikes, motorcycles, golf carts, surfboards, paddle boards, and kayaks. Sign up for surf lessons, reserve a charter fishing boat for offshore angling- or flats fishing on the intracoastal river, or drive back over the bridge to half a dozen local golf courses on the mainland. If it’s shopping you’re after, within the several surrounding blocks there are numerous stores for clothing, surf wear, beach items and supplies, hardware, surf boards, liquor, pharmacies, and a major grocery store. In the same area are a dozen restaurants and half a dozen local bars. A mile north is the town’s main street called Flagler Avenue where the list of stores and activities repeats itself. Flagler boasts some of the best dining and shopping in the area, along with everything from gourmet coffee shops to nightclubs that are popular year-round. And of course there are the world’s best theme parks about an hour away including Disney World, Universal, and Sea World.

To experience some of the local culture that makes NSB a top rated beach internationally, don’t forget to walk the beach at night to try and spot hatching baby turtles scramble into the waves. There is also a decent surf break just off the back yard, or a short distance north is the “Inlet” near the lighthouse where you may join (or just watch!) the local pro surfers in action. Then, after a refreshing dip in the private saltwater pool, evenings are perfect

Absolutely gorgeous!

This rental is worth every penny!! The house is very beautifully decorated, cozy, and very clean. The pool and spa are very clean as well, and such a great feature for when you want to swim but not in the ocean waves. It's also very nice being able to walk the short path to the beach/ocean.. The view is spectacular from the house! You feel like you're secluded, but less than a mile away are great restaurants and shopping. You don't feel like you're in a real touristy town, but if you want to visit other places, it's a short drive to historic Saint Augustine, or Daytona.. Consider yourself lucky if you get the chance to stay in this house!! Our family greatly enjoyed our stay here, and will definitely be back!!

Absolutely beautiful house!!

We spent five days at this beautiful house and location. We could not ask for more in beauty, accommodations and helpfulness from the rental agent (Natasja)! This house is top notch from top to bottom and highly recommend any one who is looking for a dream beach vacation stay here. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Beautiful beachfront property

My family of 6 enjoyed an amazing week of relaxing by the beach, pool and in the hot tub at this beautiful home. I can't say enough nice things about our experience with Natasja and how helpful she was not only during our stay but before we ever arrived. The house is absolutely gorgeous and just steps to the beach. I would highly recommend watching the sunrise from the upper deck! I would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely Amazing!!

This property is hands down the nicest place we have ever rented for a vacation. The home was not only gorgeous, but spotless too! We enjoyed hours of relaxation and fun just out the back door at the pool, which overlooked the picturesque landscaped backyard and Atlantic Ocean. The home is well appointed and beautifully decorated. Natasja, the property manager was very helpful promptly answering any questions we had throughout the week about the home or about what New Smyrna Beach had to offer visitors. There was so much to do and fabulous restaurants to enjoy in this beach community. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Beach Cottage

This was the most tranquil vacation we have had in years. The home is something out of a magazine! I must say Natasja was the icing on the cake! Her " go the extra mile" service made our stay the best ever! I love this spot on the beach and we will definitely return!!!
