Bali Beach Villa Asmara is an exclusive villa located in the north of the tropical Indonesian island of Bali. The villa is nestled between the beautiful green rice paddies and the vast sandy beaches of the Bali Sea. The villa is located near the authentic Balinese village of Dencarik, which is just a few kilometres west of the famous Lovina Beach Resort.

Asmara means “love and romance” in Indonesian. They could not have chosen a better name for this idyllic paradise. It is surely the perfect destination for families, friends, couples, and honeymooners. The beach, the stunning tropical garden, and the infinity pool with never-ending views overlooking the sea will immediately make you feel like staying in this beautiful place forever.

The Villa Asmara team will welcome you with open arms. The staff is professionally trained to fulfil all your needs so that you can fully enjoy a carefree and memorable holiday. You combine the extensive services of a luxury hotel with the privacy and freedom of a villa. You do not have to share the villa with others.

Bali Beach Villa Asmara can accommodate up to 10 guests. The five spacious bedrooms are air-conditioned and each has a private bathroom. Two rooms have a king-size bed, two have a queen-size bed and one has two single beds.

The atmospheric living room with its spacious seating area overlooks the garden and the sea. The villa is equipped with a flat screen TV with satellite connection, a DVD player, and an extensive collection of DVDs, including a large assortment of children’s films. For those who enjoy quality time, there are various games as well as a pool table.

The heart of the villa is located around the pool, where sunbathers can relax on comfortable sun loungers on the large terrace. The terrace is partly covered with a traditional thatched alang alang roof, which features a long dining table. Is there anything better than enjoying breakfast with a refreshing sea breeze or having lunch or dinner overlooking the infinity pool, the sea, and the tropical garden? The spacious lounge area with docking station is ideal for blissful relaxation. The bale benong is also a covered terrace where you can sink into the cushions and enjoy an aperitif. There are many seating areas around the villa where you can linger cosily and rest. Even if you are staying with a large group of guests, everyone will have the necessary privacy. The garden and terraces are equipped with lights that ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the evening.

Free internet is available throughout the entire Villa Asmara property via WiFi.

There is so much going on at Villa Asmara and in the surrounding area. In addition to walks on the beach, sunbathing, swimming, relaxing, reading, walking, and meditation, there are plenty of activities that can be arranged in and around the villa. The staff is happy to assist in planning a tour with a driver or organizing cooking classes, snorkeling/diving lessons, and massage/yoga sessions in the villa as well as trekking trips, dolphin watching, and scooter/bicycle rental outside of the villa. Don’t be misled – paradise is NOT boring.

Flawless and impeccable!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 7 traveled all the way from San Francisco to be at Villa Asmara and were so incredibly impressed. We were the first group to be received after Asmara wrapped up a major renovation, and it felt like nothing short of paradise. From the incredible, helpful staff, and the owner being so thorough in his communication, to each of the rooms and the decor, we couldn't find a single thing to complain about. I figure we probably drove Kadek pretty crazy with all of our excursions and dinner planning but she handled it like a true professional - and btw, is an amazing chef, as well as her partner! Can't thank them enough for making our experience so memorable and absolutely recommend 100%. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! -Rob

Ultra posh homestay villa in northern Bali!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at Villa Asmara in September 2017. As you can tell from the description, the villa houses 10 but for a couple, it's an absolutely huge place! The villa is fully furnished with beautiful rooms done up in a contemporary modern style. The highlight of the villa for us was undoubtedly the massive infinity pool overlooking the Bali Sea. If you're like us, you'll probably spend much of your time either in the pool or chilling out in the many lounge areas around it. When you do get time off from swimming, you can browse the library, watch movies, get a relaxing massage, shoot some pool or walk along the quiet Lovina beach. We found Villa Asmara so comfortable in fact that we didn't feel like venturing out to explore the historic village of Dencarik or go dolphin watching. But the best part of all were the people who run the place. The housekeepers Kadek and Nila along with the other staff at Villa Asmara took extremely good care of us, ensuring that we were well fed and pampered. The owner Filip (who we didn't meet in person unfortunately) was extremely professional and helpful with making the arrangements for our stay. The only downside we can think of was that we didn't stay longer! If you're looking for a relaxing, luxurious holiday away from the madness of south Bali, look no further.

5 Star Experience

  • 5 of 5

The property and staff are exactly as described in the materials. The House is very comfortable though our group found the gardens to be spectacular!!!. The gardener works extremely hard to keep them in pristine condition. there was 10 of us but the grounds were setup so that people could enjoy some quiet time

Our family were unanimous in agreeing that Kadeck and Neela were the probably the best part of our visit, their food was phenomenal. They would go to the market daily (4am)for fresh provisions. Each meal was more enjoyable than the last. But what was even more special was how warm and caring Kadeck and Neela both were to us thru out our stay.

The property owner is truly lucky to have them!!

True paradise

  • 5 of 5

My stay in Villa Asmara was more than I could ever dream of. We arrived in the evening and got a warm welcome with a lovely note form the staff and safe feeling from the security guard. Every morning a lovely breakfast with a smile, you could hardly end your question or the staff had already taken action to realise our project. They were always present, but did never ever disturb. The villa itself is huge with large bedrooms, each with private bathroom. Every detail well thought through. A lovely pool, on the beach, total peace and quiet. Zen to the max!

Luxurious and private villa right on the beach

  • 5 of 5

Filip the owner is very nice and gives you additional information if needed. The villa is tastefully decorated and has many outdoor seating possibilities. There are other nice villas in the neighborhood. Kadek (great cook) and Nilah make breakfast, clean the house and fix lunch and dinner on request Monday through Saturday. Sunday they are off but they can prepare some food in advance on Saturday if you wish. A gardener is present every day except Sunday. He works very discreetly. Security staff is on the grounds from 6pm until 6am.

One bad thing (which has nothing to do with the villa) is that the beaches are quite dirty in the north - especially when it rains. All the garbage from people living in the mountains is swept down the river into the sea. Beach is cleaned daily by security staff. If you are looking for beach holidays you might not be happy there.

But the villa is great, the pool is wonderful and the garden well kept. The kids loved the big DVD selection while the parents enjoyed a glass of wine outdoors. Go there you will not be dissapointed.

PS: By the way : When entering and leaving the country by plane you do not have to pay anything anymore at the airport (since 2015).

A wonderful villa in a beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

The villa is perfect: beautiful building , wonderful interior design and beautiful garden. The staff is very professional (very customizable; high service-level) and they're very very friendly. The villa is very clean and very well maintained.

For trips in the area or going out for dinner, you need transport.

Centre of Lovina Kalibukbuk

Lovina is a chain of coastal villages in the north of Bali. Kalibukbuk is one of those villages and is considered the “centre” of Lovina. In addition to the well-known dolphin monument, Kalibukbuk has various shops as well as lovely restaurants, bars, and local warungs (eateries). Especially in Jalan Binaria, Jalan Pantai, and Jalan Rambutan, there is a wide selection of dining and entertainment venues such as Warung Aria, Jasmin Kitchen, Suku, Warung Apple, or the restaurant at the Chonos Hotel. Whether you feel like Balinese, Japanese, or French cuisine or simply a pizza or a burger, there is something for everyone’s taste. If you prefer a trendier venue, you can go to the “Spice Beach Club”, which is located on Lovina Beach. The beach club has a lounge and cocktail bar as well as an atmospheric restaurant. The menu includes both local and European dishes. A band regularly plays atmospheric music. In the late hours, you can go to “Kantin 21”, a friendly outdoor dance club where local Balinese, tourists, and expats can dance to live music until the early hours.

The hot springs in Banjar

At the foot of the hills of Banjar are the “Air Panas” volcanic hot springs. This is a 10 minute drive from Villa Asmara. Amidst landscaped gardens, there are hot springs on three levels. The therapeutic hot water sprays out of natural stone heads in the landscaped ponds in which you can enjoy the benefits of the sulphurous water. This is ideal for people with rheumatic diseases. Don’t forget your swimwear and towels. Try to avoid Sundays because the Balinese also enjoy the springs on their day off.

Buddhist monastery

Not far from the hot springs is the Buddhist Monastery “Brahma Vihara Arama”. It is the largest Buddhist temple of Bali and is an oasis of calm. At the highest level, a miniature replica of the famous temple at Borobudur on Java was built. From the property, you have a magnificent view overlooking the coast of the north of Bali.

Singaraja

The old port city of Singaraja is the former capital of Bali and is now the capital of the regency of Buleleng. With roughly 100,000 inhabitants, it is the second largest city of Bali. The colonial past of the city is still noticeable in the architecture of many buildings, especially in the old port. The white plastered buildings still exude the atmosphere of the days when the port was still a thriving centre where mainly herbs and tobacco were traded. It is a city with hospitals, pharmacies, schools, universities, banks and markets. You will be amazed by the scents and colours of Balinese life. Singaraja is also home to the Gedong Kirtya library in which you can find the famous Lontar manuscripts and lots of Balinese literature. Also worth visiting are the “Pasar Anyar II” market, the Chinese temple, and the royal palace where the former royal family of Buleleng once had their residence.

Git Git Waterfalls

A half hour drive from Singaraja, you will find the spectacular 40-metre-high Git Git waterfall in the middle of the tropical rainforest. A 1-km path full of souvenir shops will lead you through a coffee and vanilla plantation to one of the most breath-taking waterfalls that Bali has been blessed with. Take a moment to enjoy the sound of the falling water.

Waterfalls and Coffee plantations of Munduk

Higher up in the mountains at Munduk, the most beautiful waterfall is surrounded by spectacular nature. At the Lumbung Resort, the guides are ready to accompany you on various hikes. You can also visit colonial houses and a coffee roasting factory in Munduk.

On the way to Munduk, you will see a small sign saying "Giant Tree". After a bad 7-km stretch of road, you will finally arrive. The tree has a circumference of 34 metres, and you can even go inside it. The roots form mysterious chambers that you can explore. The road to the tree gives you a good picture of everyday village life in Bali.

Bedugul and the “Pura Ulun” Temple

From the villa, It is more than a one hour drive to Bedugul. We therefore recommend that you combine this trip with the Git Git waterfalls or to make a stopover in Denpasar on the way back. You should definitely visit the “Pura Ulun” temple, which is located on the Danu Bratan Lake. You will undoubtedly recognize the temple from the 50,000 Rp banknotes. The Buyan and Tamblingan Lakes, where you can take beautiful guided walks, are also nearby. There are Botanical Gardens in Bedugul, and the local market is also definitely worth a visit. Do not forget to haggle if you want to buy something!

Diving & Snorkling in Menjangan

Bali is known as the “Island of the Gods” for its beautiful natural scenery, landscapes, and beaches as well as the traditional yet authentic culture. Much less known and often underestimated is the breath-taking underwater life around Bali. World class diving sites make Bali an ideal destination for those who want to combine exploring the underwater world with other activities and excursions.
