Amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

This place gets a 5 star rating for so many reasons. The house was neat as a pin and so well appointed. There were so many neat furnishings and art work. The rooms were spacious and we had plenty of room to spread out as a rather large family. We had tons of fun playing pool, shuffleboard and cards. The wet bar was enjoyed by all the adults. Our boys liked the cowboy room and my parents lived the fact that there were two family rooms. We enjoyed coffee on the back porch each morning and grilled out most nights. Alan gave us such great ideas on where to dine and where to visit all real close to the house. The park was a short drive, the lake views were nice and some of the places like Virginia City and Earthquake Lake would never have been known without Alan's guidance. I highly recommend this house for a family vacation.

It was delightful

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was very nicely furnished . Even has a washer and dryer if someone needed to use that amenity. Spacious living room and very workable kitchen / dining area .

The view was spectacular !!! Only 20 minutes to west Yellowstone entrance .

We were so glad that we had rented this home !

A Welcoming Vacation Home in a Lovely and Convenient Location

  • 5 of 5

Our family reunion (8 adults and 4 deliriously happy-to-be-together little cousins) at Elk Lodge was really great. The house layout and appointments were terrific. Alan Beauregard is a helpful voice at the end of the telephone line when we had a question. Our kids, who had never been in the West, were overcome by the beauty around them. Yellowstone Park West Entrance is a 20 minute drive. Thanks Alan! We just loved every minute. LRS

Beautiful views, comfortable setting.

  • 4 of 5

Our combined family of 12 enjoyed a week staying at Elk Lodge. 20 min (or so) drive to western park entrance in to Yellowstone NP. The lodge was comfortable and adequate. Especially enjoyed the pool table and shuffle board table in basement. Good diversion for the children when we needed a break. Would stay again if in the area.

Nice vacation home with lots of room, but a few drawbacks...

  • 3 of 5

Elk Lake Lodge is a nice, newer home with plenty of room for our family of 10 and beautiful scenery. When we booked we went off the description of "minutes from Yellowstone". I think it should list how many "miles from Yellowstone" as it is NOT close. In fact, Elk Lake Lodge is in the middle of nowhere, with absolutely nothing nearby. If this had been closer it would have made a huge difference since the price was steep for our 3 night stay. I would not plan on staying longer than 3 nights unless you are prepared to drive many miles over the course of your trip - or are content hanging at the house. Additionally, while this home is new, there is a SERIOUS issue with swallows nests at both doors. Stepping over bird droppings is not a welcoming gesture - nor is nearly slipping and falling on the back deck due to an overwhelming amount of droppings.

Owner's Response: Not sure where these people stayed but Elk Lake is less then 15 minutes to West Yellowstone and the Park. Also there are stores and restaurants anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes away. We are sorry about the swallows this year we tried to have them removed but until the babies leave the nest they are protected. Now that the babies have left the nest we have had a company come in take down the nest and put up netting so we will not have this problem in the future.

Convenient and spacious

  • 4 of 5

Great home and view. Well furnished and comfortable. A bit close to the highway, hence highway noise.

Owner's Response: Hi Gary Sorry about the added noise this year in June. Turns out the main trucking route HWY 191 was closed to all trucks for road repairs. The Montana DOT said it would reopen by the end of July 2016. I was there the end of July and things seemed the be back to normal.
