I stayed in this home with my husband, 19 year old daughter and older parents between Christmas and New Year. The house was the perfect size for our group. Our daughter slept in the pull-out couch and was happy to have her own nook with a TV. The other two bedrooms were comfortable and large. The house itself is nicely decorated and well maintained. Nice kitchen, dining room and living room. The neighborhood is safe and interesting with everything we needed nearby: groceries, liquor store, etc. There is also a free streetcar on H street which gave is an easy free way to travel down H street to lots of nice restaurants and bars. And the train station is a quick walk a few blocks from the house. Not the cheapest house rental option, but worth the premium for comfort and convenience. We would come again and recommend this property whole heartily!
We stayed here for a weekend while visiting friends in the DC area. The house is beautiful. Super comfy beds and a great kitchen. We loved the location. The back deck is great too!
This property in the Capitol Hill/H street area was a cozy row home that was just what we, a family of 4 including 2 adult children needed for a long weekend in DC. We are walkers so did not mind the approximately 1 mile walk to the middle of the mall (less to the Capitol). There is a cozy first floor living room without a TV which was perfect, as well as an upstairs living/family room with a nice TV. The kitchen was well stocked, small but adequate with nice appliances. The master bedroom's king bed was extremely comfortable and I loved hearing some street sounds (not loud at all). There are many restaurants on H street, a scant one block away. We definitely will try to learn to this VRBO.
My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. We loved it. Very warm and inviting. Very clean and the place looks exactly like the pictures the owners posted. Close to many attractions! The owners made us feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend! 👍𣐽𣑍
It was great having a place to relax and get some down time after busy days in the the DC area. We used the Giant grocery store a block away for incidentals and basic supplies. We did breakfast at the house every morning and had all the basic supplies, dishes and appliances necessary. There were several restaurants within walking distance and a coffee house two blocks away. Union Station was only three and a half blocks away and that made it convenient to catch ground transportation or the Metro to wherever we needed to go. If you are visiting the DC area for vacation to see the monuments and museums they are all very readily accessible from this location. We had two couples and one teen and the accommodations suited our needs. The dining table in the kitchen would not seat more than three comfortably. There is a full seating for six in the dining room but we managed with the kitchen table as one couple were early risers and our teen got up later.
The neighborhood is nice, tree lined streets and we were not concerned for our safety even when returning later in the evening.
