About the property

3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, Mountain views, walk everywhere, 1 car garage + parking

Our house is not suited for a party group. The house is appointed with expensive furniture. Walk everywhere; Steps from Gondola & Main St; but still quiet with amazing views; important for early ski season, only way up to the mountain right outside the door, Bike and Ski rental on the same property (20% discount granted for our guests as walk-ins); Garage & 1 parking space and a smaller car can fit in-front of the garage; 3 fireplaces; Private Hot Tub, well appointed kitchen, extra entertainment area, sleeps 6 in 3 master bedrooms, sleeps an extra 2 in bonus room. The gourmet kitchen features Wolf appliances. The whole house is beautifully furnished. The beds are very comfortable. The comfortable family room w/ wet bar is the place to relax and enjoy a movie after a day of hiking or skiing.

The Ski and Bike rental place on the premises is called Carvers. http://www.breckenridgeskishop.com/

We highly recommend that you reserve your rentals online to avoid waiting and ruining your first vacation day. In case you didn't reserve, you can still get a 20% discount as our guests.

About Claus Wagner

We live in Denver and very much enjoy Colorado. We are very proud of our new home in Breckenridge and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

Claus Wagner purchased this house in 2015

Why Claus Wagner chose Breckenridge Area

Breckenridge is a real charmer. It offers many local bars and restaurants and some of the best skiing in the US. The snow here is always superb given the high altitude. The summers are nice and cool making hiking and biking very enjoyable. We are only 8 miles from the Frisco Marina if you like to enjoy some activities on the water. You can't find a better location in Breckenridge.

What makes this house unique

The real gem of our property is the Hot Tub on the second floor balcony. The floors are heated so you won't ever struggle with snow. The view from the hot tub looks west and you can enjoy the entire ski area of Breckenridge.

Storm cabin is an absolutely beautiful home! We enjoyed every moment we spend in this beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

In the basement hallway the ceiling is leaking into the carpet. We left towels down to soak up the water. We first noticed it Sunday morning before we check out.

Beautiful home, great location - couldn't have been better!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Storm Cabin in late Sepetember. There were three couples, and each had their own master suite. The entire house is beautifully appointed and fully stocked with any item you might like; it's clean and everything works. Everything downtown is in walking distance - restaurants, shops, bars, etc. The property manager is responsive and took care of a minor issue in good time.

The main floor is a kitchen/great room with a half bath; stairs to bottom level lead to a large yet cozy den, a wet bar, and two master suites with queen beds. Stairs to the upstairs level lead to a hallway with a daybed, a porch with a hot tub, and a master suite with a king bed. My husband and I stayed upstairs, and it's the best room of the three (though the downstairs is much quieter, and being downtown, that could be important). The bathroom upstairs has both a shower and a bath, and two sinks in separate vanities.

Note that you will likely not be able to park a full-size pickup in the garage, but there is a parking spot reserved outside that will work. A car fits fine, but the approach requires a tight turn.

I have zero regrets about using this home for our couples' vacation and hope to do so again in the near future.

This was a beautiful house with a great location! Claus and his manager were great to work with. The house is extremely well stocked, and was a great place for a vacation. Definitely recommend as a place to stay in Breckenridge. Thanks!

Could not have been more perfect!!

  • 5 of 5

This property was lovely in every sense of the word. It is exactly as it appears in the listing photographs - beautiful, upscale and well maintained. Our family of 6 adults enjoyed the three separate floors allowing us to spread out at times for sleeping or watching movies but also to gather on the main level for meals, conversation and games. We loved the town of Breckenridge and the house's close proximity to the Main Street coffee shops, restaurants, shops and bars. We attended the local yoga studio in the mornings, rode bicycles or hiked in the afternoons. The hot tub was a welcome spot at the end of our active days. We reported a concern related to a possible water issue to the contact person for the property and it was attended to immediately by a maintenance person. We also received a phone call from the owner to apologize for any inconvenience we experienced due to this concern. Throughout the rental process the service was attentive and professional. We would definitely recommend this property to friends!
