While Picaflores is an ideal destination for personal retreats, it is also designed to meet the needs of small group gatherings and workshops for 15-20 people.
Nestled in the trees you will find our 30' Yurt. The Yurt is dedicated as a group meeting space. It is filled with indigenous art collected from around the world. There are tent sites cleared in shaded areas on the property for seasonal camping. The cabin becomes a good place to house instructors or those unable to tent camp.

Following extended travels to Egypt, Turkey, Peru, The Amazon Jungle, Mexico, Guatemala and Indonesia, I have returned with treasures from these cultures to share at the Cabin, Yurt, Sauna and Gardens.
The influences of Indigenous Folk Art inspires the magic of Picaflores which creates the allusion of being any where in the World.
I have found the advantages of being here are enhanced by the natural wonders of our Rain Forests of the Oregon Cascades affording the best water and clean air you can find and one of the greenest places on the Planet.
Come and Enjoy,
Steve purchased this cabin in 2001
Picaflores is a destination unto itself.
A place to arrive, unpack and simply enjoy. Stroll the trails around the property, spend some time in the Balé Begong (our Balinese Dream Gazebo) overlooking Horse Creek and luxuriate in the sensual feast the elements of this land provide. Whether your need is for rest, relaxation, romance, a group gathering space, or a place to rejuvenate after an active day, consider Picaflores your sanctuary.
This is a unique property bounded by three natural creeks, Horse Ck, King Ck & Owl Ck (Horse Creek is a year round river flowing directly from the Three Sisters Glaciers). This provides our guests with a personal and private experience during their stay.
The cabin is well appointed and away from the hustle and bustle. The sauna is a must. We went also to the Cougar hot springs and snowshoed in the area.
The cabin was inviting and comfortable. It felt like home. I'd love to rent in summer for a family party. I would recommend to anyone. The cabin was clean and the kitchen had everything i needed.
"Wow", couldn't stop saying that after we got there. From the well thought out cabin and towering trees next to the river, it was beautiful and just what we hoped for. The yurt has an energizing and calming effect, and we want to return to make more use of the outdoor kitchen, shower, and fire pit. The owner is very responsive to any questions. We plan on returning for sure.
The cabin is amazing: cozy, comfortable, well-stocked, and situated on a gorgeous property. Steve was a great host. We can't wait to come back.
My husband & I spent 3 nights at Picaflores cabin last week. We were grateful to Steve for allowing us to bring our 2 best friends, well behaved canine companions. We were delighted to be there. It is a lovely and peaceful place. We did not make use of the outdoor shower or sauna or the meditation yurt, but maybe next time. Fantastic place for nearby hikes. We hope to return in the near future.

Beautiful setting for a well thought out vacation rental. All of the comforts of home with a few extra surprises. The outdoor shower is really amazing. We were able to enjoy nice warm weather everyday, so we were able to take full advantage of the amenities. Cooked in the fantastic outdoor kitchen, ate with a view of Horse Creek. Had an evening fire in the firepit. Did I mention the outdoor shower? Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise.
