Beverino is in the valley between mountains. The landscape is beautiful. The house itself was really beautiful and well equipped and the large private yard (with an (iron + tree) fence around it to make it safer for small kids) excellent for children especially (adults also). The pictures in the website do not "do justice" for this place - it is much more lovely! Beverino village has 1-2 small food shops to get everyday supplies and the town La Spezia is close (~15min drive by car) with a supermarket near which makes it easy to handle the groceries. Also sightseeing is easily done since many famous places are near (Pisa, Lucca, Portovenere, Cinque Terre, to mention a few). There comes a cleaning lady 3 times a week which we thought was a bit too often (but kept the house tidy and clean of course)..Things worked well with the owner. We were 2 families with 5 small children and we very much recommend the villa!
This is a beautiful place, perfect house for 10 people with lots of space and independancy. Everything was well kept, and so clean. The cleaning was even done 3 times during the week. It was easy to go to Cinque Terre and Porto Fino and other nice places. I would for sure recommend this place, and we would love to come back ourselves.
The Villa was lovely. We were a group of 8, 4 adults and 4 children--it was perfect for us. The home is nicely decorated in keeping with its charm. The grounds are amazing--much larger than we expected. There is a truly luxurious feel from the moment the gates open up and you can see the stunning home and the pool. The children enjoyed playing football, swimming, running through the orchard and playing ping-pong on the outdoor table. The home exceeded our expectations.
The location is the countryside, but well within driving distance for day trips--Pisa, Cinque Terre--to name 2 that we did! The local restaurants were very good; rustic and charming but not at all touristy which was the best part.
Thank you to Barbara and her family.
Absolutely awesome villa! For 5 years already we have been spending a month in Belpaese. This property is a very good value for the money, especially if you are a family with a little baby. We have three - 1; 2,5 and 5 years old babies. The territory is perfect for them - spacious garden with hazels, garnet, fig tries, baby house etc. All in the house and in the garden is very comfortable and made with a good taste. Each bedroom has a separate WC. Spacious garden, swimming pool, ping-pong table, billiard, pergola, detached cosy and stylish salon will enrich your staying in the villa. Housekeeping also nice and unobtrusive. The road to the house is a bit twisting, but it's typical for this region. The owners are very friendly and pleasant. I can strongly recommend this property for outstanding vacation. Grazie mille!
The house and the garden is beautiful, it is a calm and nice place, still thinking about how nice it was waking up looking out upon the hills, taking a swim in the pool every morning. We were two big families (4 children each) staying here together and it worked fine! A 15 minutes drive to La Spezia and 45 minutes toi Levanto. A good choice if you want to live on the countryside. Every morning we heard the local churchbell chiming! And four delicate bathrooms and a maid cleaning three times a week! Much nicer than the pictures show. However, I would ask for a detailed description to find the house upon arrival.
We were two families travelling together; four adults and five young children. We were met at the house by the owner who was very nice and service-minded. The house was immaculate, very clean and well-kept. The cleaning lady came three times a week, which almost makes you feel like staying in a hotel! The garden was huge and secluded with lots of space to play, and the pool was clean and good size. Both the garden and pool kept the children occupied for hours. The house is spacious, but the fifth "bedroom" is on the mezzanine with a sofa bed and best suited for children. You will need a car, but la Spezia is only a 10-15 minutes drive away and a great starting point for going to Portovenere and Cinque Terre amongst other things. Pisa was appr. 1hour away by car. If you are looking for a beautiful quiet retreat and don't mind a short drive to get around, this is a very nice "hideaway". The only thing we missed was a small pamphlet with some practical information about the house (like: where is the main power switch, when we were so unfortunate to cut the power!) and near surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay and the owner was super-sweet!
