About Viv and Tony Killeen
We currently live in Halberton, within half an hour of the cottage.
Viv and Tony Killeen purchased this Cottage in 2006
Why Viv and Tony Killeen chose Bishop's Nympton
We had often visited North Devon when our children were young. Eventually, we decided to buy a holiday home there. The Pottery was the first of many that we went to see - none of the others felt like a home from home. We bought it, then decided we would let others enjoy it too. We have been letting it for holidays since 2008.

The cottage was a real delight. Very atmospheric. Superb thatch roof, internal beams. Lovely garden . The perfect location to access North Devon.
Over our three days we did the SW coastal path at Heddon Valley, RHS Rosehill Gardens at Torrington, Instow beach, Tarr Steps, saw deer on the moor.... all magnificent. Weather was great. Couldn't have had a better time.
Really appreciated Tony and Viv's assistance and response.
Lovely thatch cottage in a very pretty village
Very friendly and helpful owners.
It is a beautiful Cottage, Tony and Viv were great hosts giving us all the local go to places and supplying our first cream tea of our holiday. It was like we stepped out of a time machine and left all the noise and stress of city life behind. Just a shame there was no pub within walking distance, but it didn't ruin our stay. Lovely cottage garden to the rear where you can sit and enjoy a glass or two on warmer evenings or in front of the log fire on cooler ones. Thanks again from Jon and Trish from Manchester, stayed May 2019.
Amazing once you learn to duck😃
We loved our time at the cottage. It was a great location to see Devon. The cottage is small , cosy and quirky. My kids were absolutely fascinated that it was built over 200 years ago. If you're looking for a quaint English cottage, I am not sure it could get any better than this. Just remember to duck 😃
Really lovely....we loved the wonky floors and ceilings though my husband's head did suffer a little! Had everything we needed and more... Cosy and comfortable... Slept really well... And lots of info from Tony and Viv... Wish we could have stayed longer!
Thank you for your kind review, Elizabeth. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Pottery, and look forward to welcoming you back another time! Summer is nice, as is autumn. Come to think of it, spring is pretty good too, and you enjoyed winter.
What a wonderful property. Very calming with everything you could need. The owner were lovely and nothing to much trouble. The cream tea when we arrived was a very nice touch
Located in the beautiful countryside of North Devon,Bishops Nympton is a working village near the market town of South Molton. The village has an excellent village shop and post office 400 yards away, by the new village hall . It has a church,St Marys which dates back to the12th century. You can often enjoy the peal of church bells. There are plenty of walks nearby and Johnny Kingdom runs his Exmoor Safaris from the village.A Devon Cream tea is a must during your stay and local ones are well advertised.Market days in South Molton are Thursdays and Saturdays where you can purchase vegetables, dairy produce, meat, fish and various country craft items.Barnstaple is only 10 miles away for more shopping. There are many houses and gardens to visit nearby including Arlington Court,Knighthayes Court,Rosemoor and even Dunster Castle. The nearest beach is Instow with Appledore across the water.Clovelly is quaint. Surf beaches are a little farther on at Saunton Sands,Croyde and Woolacombe.
