About Michael Davis
After hiking the Smokies for many years I discovered the Bryson City / Deep Creek area in 2012 and fell in love with it so much I decided to relocate here. Found my dream home which included a guest house which I have decided to rent out part time. Absolutely love all the beautiful scenery and outdoor activities.
Michael Davis purchased this Barn in 2013
Why Michael Davis chose Bryson City
At 3000 feet elevation this place has beautiful views of the mountains and spectacular sunsets. The central location to rafting, boating, hiking and Bryson City couldn't be better.
What makes this Barn unique
In less than 20 minutes or less you can get to Nantahala National Forest hiking, Fontana Reservoir boating / fishing, trout fishing in numerous creeks, kayaking / rafting at the Nantahala river, Smoky Mountain National Park hiking / tubing at Deep Creek and lots of fun activities and good food / drinks in Bryson City.

Mike was great! The cabin exceeded expectations!
Michael Davis was so helpful, friendly and attentive! The cabin was great, also! So many little considerations went into it (he thought of everything, really,) amd it truly felt like a home away from home! Shout out to his sweet little doggo, Inola!
10/10 would rerurn or recommend for sure!!!! Thanks again!!!!!!!
very nice ride to cabin on motorcycle . we had an elk walk right up to the cabin.
Beautiful views - charming cottage - very hospitable host - friendly welcoming surroundings - comfortable beds - stunning sunsets - quiet and peaceful.
This was my first time in the Bryson City area and won't be the last. Michael's cabin was very nice with more amenities than I was expecting....little things in the kitchen and cupboard so you REALLY DO have everything you need ...just like home! I especially enjoyed the swing on porch facing the sunset. The hummingbirds were still coming around ...great way to wind down end of day.
It was in the middle of everything to see...Deep Creek Park....the Great Smoky Mountain Train ride...I even ventured up to Clingman's Dome.(and of course much more) I took the Blue Ridge Parkway (entrance near Cherokee) home and that was the icing on the cake! I hope to get back soon. Was nice that Michael is "on the property." He really is the perfect host. Good job Michael!!
Above and Beyond Our Expectations
We had a wonderful stay here! There are so many little details that the owner has thought to include for your convenience. It's a really peaceful location while also being very accessible. The home is very comfortable and has everything you need. Mike (the owner) is a great resource for local information on top of being a very friendly person! We definitely would live to come back again!
Had such a great time last summer, came back again this year
This was our second time to vacation at Michael's cabin. We had such a great experience last year, that we decided to come back again this year.
Michael's cabin has everything we need to relax, unwind, and also conveniently located amongst numerous outdoor adventures. The cabin is clean, well supplied, and situated with a scenic view, fresh cool air, and the peaceful sound of a mountain stream.
Michael is a wonderful host! He goes way above expectations to ensure that you have everything you need. Also, he is an expert in what the area has to offer. He is an active, adventuress person himself so he has a first hand knowledge of practically everything in the area. This really helped us make the most of our time during our vacation. He helped to make sure the vacation was especially memorable for my young son.
We will definitely be back again!
