Built in 1760 by Archibald Chessil and now Grade A listed, this Georgian flat has many fine period features including unique decorative plasterwork and cornicing. With a chequered past, it has been at times a refuge for policemen and the playroom for the next door nursery. The mansion block has many associations, from James Boswell and Deacon Brodie to the colourful Bloody Mary’s Close!

Situated in the heart of the Old Town, Edinburgh’s renowned centre, it is a perfect location from which to explore all the city has to offer. The apartment is just off the Royal Mile in a beautiful courtyard with a green and surrounded by trees and historic buildings. Many people come to photograph the courtyard as it is the only one of it's kind on the Royal Mile. It is also featured in the Secret Gardens of the Royal Mile and on the Patrick Geddes Trail.

The area has many excellent restaurants and cafes and interesting shops. The apartment is well located for visiting the major tourist attractions of the castle, palace and Scottish Parliament. Waverley Station is 5 minutes walk as is the airport express bus terminus.
