Vistas of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, The Santa Fe Opera, the stars. Quiet that rings in your ears. Solitude that envelopes you with peace. Enchantment. You have arrived at Casa Vista de Cochiti at Pueblo Encantado.
Located just 15 minutes north of the Santa Fe Plaza is this 2 bedroom 2 bath, just remodeled and furnished single family home located in the Tesuque foothills. Bright, airy, open, with high ceilings, Casa Vista de Cochiti offers luxurious and, modern accommodations and furnishings with colors and design inspired by the palette of Georgia O'Keefe. Kivas are located in the living room, master bedroom and outdoor dining patio.
Pueblo Encantado is located across from the Four Seasons Rancho Encantado. (Note: There are no resort privileges.) Casa Vista de Cochiti is a detached single family home, nestled into a hill top ridge, offering 180 degree views, complete privacy and solitude.
Living room has 13 foot beam ceiling with glass doors that open onto the patio and ceiling height windows offering vistas of the mountains, cozy banco by the kiva, television and desk for contemplating the fire and mountain vistas. Santa Fe style brick floors throughout living and dining room are covered with oriental and contemporary area rugs.

The kiva and stucco banco (which absorbs the heat of the sun during the day) means evening dining is cozy and comfortable, with firelight and twinkling stars overhead. Speaking of stars, four reclining high back chairs are perfect for reclining to ponder the stars or for reflecting upon the vista during morning coffee. There are padded chaise lounges for some sunning or napping under the awning.
Pueblo Encantado condominiums are scattered throughout 92 acres and sited so as to create a feeling privacy. Hiking through out Pueblo Encantado, as well as dedicated easement through Los Caminitos, across the highway. Our stand alone unit, nestled into a hill top ridge, is especially private and secluded.
In the summer, the outdoor Pueblo Encantado pool is sun filled with views of the mountains and aspen tree landscape around the deck. Also, don't miss the short hike to the top of the ridge behind our home for spectacular views to the Sandias, Jemez mountains, Los Alamos and even Colorado.
Be enchanted. Be relaxed. Be renewed. Breathe. Come to Casa Vista de Cochiti.

Peter purchased this house in 2015
Love Santa Fe and Santa Fe Opera. A bucket list item for me has been to go to the same opera many times to absorb the voices, music and magic. I am living that dream now. Life is good.
Love the vistas and quiet of this second home in Tesuque. I fell in love with Casa Vista de Cochiti at the moment I walked through the portal into the patio. I was in the luxury, resort hotel business for many years and have furnished our home away home to these standards!
I want the world to experience the enchantment of Pueblo Encantado and am thrilled you are considering our corner of the world. Stop. Breathe. Look around. Relax. Enjoy.
Isolation. Privacy. Silence. Vast sky. Dark, star studded nights.
We have our own vacation rental so we "grade" each vacation home we stay at. Peter's place was Numero Uno with every category I can think of... cleanliness, "getting started" supplies including linens, towels, kitchen articles and some starter food, the view, toiletries, decor, fireplace needs, appliances, home layout, the view, directions, ease of access between parking and the home, weather, privacy, parking,,, oh, and the view. For future guests, Peter is the most helpful person in providing information and directions prior to check-in. You should also not hesitate to ask his opinion about restaurants and things to do. (There is a helpful guestbook with lots of local brochures.) In my years of vacation rentals, I have never encountered one so eager to make sure your stay is PERFECT.
Beautiful property with great views. My wife and I really enjoyed our anniversary here. Loved to sit outside and take on the view during the day and stars at night. Close to Santa Fe (15-20min). Peter the host was the best we've had ... super informative, gracious, and left a fantastic bottle of wine for us to celebrate with. We would definitely consider staying here again!
My wife and I have been traveling to Home Away homes for several years. Peter's home did not disappoint. The location is very private with beautiful views and sunsets. The house was well stocked with supplies. The furnishings, bedding and cookware were high quality with the feel that we were in our own vacation home. Santa Fe is a wonderful place and Peter's home is a wonderful place to enjoy it.
My husband and I just spent a wonderful week in Peter's condo, and we're sorry we didn't stay longer. Peter himself was enormously helpful and kind, and the condo is spectacular: elegant, flooded with light, beautifully furnished and decorated, with excellent beds and comfortable furniture, and a kitchen that has everything you could possibly need for cooking. The condo is a stand-alone unit (unlike most at Pueblo Encantado), which gives it a great sense of privacy, and the views from inside and from the lovely, extensive patio are splendid: you can see for miles, including, off in the distance, the Santa Fe opera. We've been going to Santa Fe for years and feel that we finally found the very best place to stay. Thank you, Peter!
We've just arrived home from our extended stay at Casa Cochita in Sante Fe. From the very first day, we knew this was going to be a special vacation getaway. Beautiful property and so well appointed. Peter and James thought of every comfort throughout the space. We felt at home immediately. Hiking, The Opera, and great dining experiences in Sante Fe, but we really enjoyed coming 'home' to the Casa. There's a great vista just off the front patio where you can watch the sunset and take in the beauty of the surrounding hills and mountains. To my surprise, the sunset perch was where we would get engaged. :) It was so perfect, complete with a double rainbow! While sad to have to leave, we know we'll return again. Thanks for making your place available. Its awesome!
The other reviews say it quite well. Peter made certain that our stay was perfect and responded quickly. A perfect host! Every luxury you can think of is provided as mentioned by others. New, clean, first-class amenities, all styled with charm and class. I am an artist and painted the views while there, did a little hiking in the development, and hubby read and relaxed. A few easy trips to town, art museums and galleries, even a little shopping in a nearby mall added to the delightful experience.
Santa Fe is the oldest capital in the United States, established in 1610, with world class restaurants, second largest art market in the U.S. (Canyon Road is 20 minutes). The world famous Santa Fe Opera is four miles from Casa Vista de Cochiti. Nearby attractions include cliff dwellings, Native American Pueblos, Taos, Los Alamos, winter skiing at Santa Fe Ski Basin and at Taos. The sky, the clouds, the clarity of air. These are some of reasons Santa Fe and New Mexico are called the Land of Enchantment.
