This quaint 3-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom residence has enough sleeping arrangements for up to 6 guests throughout 1,530 square feet of beautifully appointed living space, making it an ideal accommodation choice for a family or group of close friends out for a rejuvenating retreat. As soon as you first arrive, you’ll immediately feel at ease in this quiet setting, situated on the perimeter of a working Amish farm with lush grass and towering trees surrounding the home. The abode’s spacious front porch serves as a wonderful place to sip your morning coffee while stitching a beautiful quilt and enjoying the serenity of a light breeze.

You'll find the rustically charming interior teeming with unique touches that make this home a true crafter's paradise, such as sewing workspaces and cutting tables. Look forward to convening with your loved ones in the inviting living room, complete with hardwood floors, beautiful rugs and plush furnishings, perfect for sinking into after long day on your feet. Everything you need to feel as comfortable as possible is here, including air conditioning, a gas grill and 3 flat screen TVs, all of which come equipped with satellite and one with a DVD player. After a memorable day spent exploring your picturesque surroundings, return home to prepare a delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with granite countertops, gorgeous wood island and all the necessary culinary appliances.

When dinner is ready, gather around either the adjacent corner booth or the large wooden table in the attached formal dining room to enjoy your delectable fare. Later, head upstairs to unwind with your favorite nightcap in the quiet sitting room, featuring a vintage settee desk and cozy electric heater. Once the evening finally comes to a close, retire to one of the home’s 3 beautiful bedrooms, all adorned with delightfully comfortable queen-sized beds.

You simply can't beat this home’s tranquil Lancaster location, tucked miles away from big city life. The property backs up to a working Amish farm, allowing you to catch occasional glimpses of farmers utilizing mules and Amish equipment to plow and harvest their land. In Downtown Historic Lancaster, just a few miles down the road, you’ll find walking tours, art and cultural events, delicious restaurants and various museums. The adults in your group will enjoy touring the town’s abounding local wineries or attending events held at the wonderful Lancaster Country Club, only 4 miles away. Meanwhile, the kids will love visiting Dutch Wonderland, one of the top amusement parks in Pennsylvania, situated just 2 miles from the house. Only 33 miles away is Hershey Park, another kid favorite that’s absolutely worth the drive!

This small-town setting is a quilter’s dream! The surrounding area boasts an abundance of Amish quilt and fabric stores, offering great deals on fabric. If you’re not a quilting expert, check out any of Lancaster’s impressive array of antique shops, or the modern Rockvale and Tanger outlet malls less than 2 miles from the property. During your stay here, don't forget to visit the neighboring villages of Bird in Hand, home to a spectacular farmer’s market, or Kitchen Kettle, which are 1.8 and 5.7 miles away respectively. These nearby villages also offer buggy and train rides, ghost tours and Amish farm tours.

If the weather’s not on your side and you’re looking for indoor entertainment, the nearby movie theater is a great place to spend the day. American Music Theater, just 1.6 miles away, or Sight and Sound Theater, accessible in a 4-mile drive, also provide excellent indoor entertainment for the entire family. Additionally, the property is close to multiple highways for easy access to many seasonal highlights throughout the year, including the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, which takes place from August through October, and countless music and craft festivals. pretty

  • 4 of 5

The property overall is pretty and quaint. the bedrooms were the perfect size, I was able to put a playpen and a small cot in my room for the kids. the only thing i was a little apprehensive with was the back steps to the kitchen door. It seemed that there may have been a metal stair rail that was cut away leaving about a 5 inch piece of jagged metal sticking right out of the cement. having my kids walk in and out of the house there was a little scary. the house is not child proof, the outlets are a little loose. if you have little kids staying be really aware of what they are up to.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your overall stay and the property itself. We are sorry that you experienced a bit of discomfort regarding the outlets and stairs. The homeowner has assured us that all electrical outlets have been inspected and are safe, and the metal piece is smooth and safely tucked away. Thank you for traveling with us, we appreciate your feedback! Best, The Evolve Team

All the comforts of home!

  • 5 of 5

This was return trip for us. Part of the reason we came back to the Lancaster area was to stay in this home. It is a warm and welcoming place to stay with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds are all extremely comfortable with lovely fresh linens. The house is spotlessly clean. While the front of the house is close to a main road and there is some traffic noise, we did get to watch an Amish family working the fields behind the house while we were staying there. Susan, the owner, clearly takes great care to make sure that her guests are comfortable here. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Lancaster area, look no further!

This is the second time we stayed at this house. It is very comfortable, lots of room for the girls to socialize and also separate bedrooms for privacy. We have had many laughs at the kitchen table, and also in the living room. Hats off to a beautiful home and an enjoyable weekend.

Great Lancaster House

  • 5 of 5

We went for a weekend convention and it is conveniently just minutes away from the Lancaster Resort and so many other places on that strip.

Overall the house was clean and exceptional. The street might be a bit busy but not when we went. It is such a great place and fit our group fine. Thanks for the owner and her great way of communicating with us. Definitely will stay there again given the availability.

false photo impression

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed the house very much. However, the photo seems to show the house set back from the road. It is not.

Trucks going by, particularly at night, meant it was noisy, so sleeping was a bit of a problem.
