This was return trip for us. Part of the reason we came back to the Lancaster area was to stay in this home. It is a warm and welcoming place to stay with all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds are all extremely comfortable with lovely fresh linens. The house is spotlessly clean. While the front of the house is close to a main road and there is some traffic noise, we did get to watch an Amish family working the fields behind the house while we were staying there. Susan, the owner, clearly takes great care to make sure that her guests are comfortable here. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Lancaster area, look no further!
This is the second time we stayed at this house. It is very comfortable, lots of room for the girls to socialize and also separate bedrooms for privacy. We have had many laughs at the kitchen table, and also in the living room. Hats off to a beautiful home and an enjoyable weekend.
We went for a weekend convention and it is conveniently just minutes away from the Lancaster Resort and so many other places on that strip.
Overall the house was clean and exceptional. The street might be a bit busy but not when we went. It is such a great place and fit our group fine. Thanks for the owner and her great way of communicating with us. Definitely will stay there again given the availability.
We enjoyed the house very much. However, the photo seems to show the house set back from the road. It is not.
Trucks going by, particularly at night, meant it was noisy, so sleeping was a bit of a problem.
Thank you, Susan, for all you have done to make this a warm and comfortable place to stay in the Lancaster area. The home is lovely and clearly well cared for. The beds are very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. It is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It is central to everything-the trade off for that is that it is on a main road and there is some traffic noise. It is clear the owners have worked hard to make this a home we would stay in again!
...or just stay here if you're in the area. :-) Don't be fooled by the property management facade -- the owners are readily available, easy to contact, and truly care about your stay. This home is cozy and inviting, and it has everything needed for a great visit. My husband and I stayed for two nights (wish it was more!) and found it to be nicely furnished, clean, very comfortable, and centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go. We were fortunate to be here on Saturday, when the Bird In Hand Marketplace was open, where we sampled many local goodies and found quality handicrafts. We also did a self tour of covered bridges, and lingered over coffee in the dining room with long time friends who live in the area. We'll have wonderful memories for a long time.
