Notes:
Our updated and remodeled home was the original farmhouse and the neighborhood was the farm. Over time the farmer sold off parts of his land and the neighborhood built up around it. Several of the homes in the neighborhood are on large pieces of land (2 acres to the left of us and two acres across the street from us) and many other of the houses are just normal neighborhood home. You get a nice mix of country and suburbs in our neighborhood. We are right down the street from Shelby Farms which is a huge park.

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

The Christmas are the true definition of southern hospitality, the pictures don't do the house any justice. It was a beautiful home with a fully stock kitchen, they had basic items like fruit, juice, milk and a number of pantry items that made it easy to cook for ourselves, they definitely made feel like hom. We most definitely will be staying here again when we come back to Memphis

Our family of 4 couldn't be more pleased with John's home and hospitality. He is just the nicest guy and we really enjoyed chatting with him. He provided a lot of food and snack items as well! We felt spoiled! I'd definitely stay here again! Thanks, John, for everything!

Very convenient to everything you would need!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great experience at this property! The owner is incredibly nice, and gave us a 'tour' of the house at check-in. The kitchen looks brand new, and was stocked with lots of great things: waffle maker, coffee pot, dishwasher, wine fridge, wine glasses, pots and pans, dishes, and even a wok! There was even food for us!! A wonderful basket of fruit, granola bars, chocolate chip muffins, and candy; pancake/waffle mix (and syrup!), bottled water, milk, orange juice, canned biscuits, cereal, coffee...it was a great surprise to have so many goodies there for us!! And don't worry, there is a Walmart very near that you could go buy more groceries at!

The bathroom has some higher end finishes in it - bring your house shoes, the beautiful tile got cold on our feet even after a hot shower! :) The shower head is great too. My only complaint about the bathroom is that the mirror is kind of high - I am 5'2" and I could only see from the chin and higher. There are full length mirrors on the closets in the bedrooms though. There were plenty of towels for our 3 night stay.

There is a smart tv in the living room, and we could use the Netflix on it as well as watch regular tv.

The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that the laundry room, which also happened to be the entrance from the driveway, smelled a bit musty. It wasn't awful though. There is a washer/dryer available for use (and detergent/dryer sheets) which was great.

We felt safe in the area, and even explored a little bit. It is very easy access to the highway, and about 15 minutes from Beale - and it's an easy drive to get to all attractions. There are some fast food restaurants near.

Consider this home for your stay!!!
