|Minimum Stay||2 - 4 nights|
Cubby Bears is a quaint, two story, rustic log cabin that sits on a mountain ridge, just minutes from Pigeon Forge and close to all the attractions, dining, shopping and Dollywood.
Enter the cabin into the open plan living room and relax on the sofa sleeper or recliner in front of the cozy gas fireplace or enjoy some TV or movie time on the 50 inch flat screen HDTV and DVD player. If you feel like preparing a special intimate meal, the kitchen is fully equipped and has a table and four chairs. With large windows in the kitchen and living room you have a forest view from every angle. Step out onto the deck and spend the afternoon reading in one of the rocking chairs or have your morning coffee while enjoying the mountain life outside. Maybe after that long day hiking or shopping you might want to relax in the hot tub and enjoy the quite.
The master bedroom is on the main floor and includes a king bed, 32 inch flat screen TV, dresser, a jetted tub in the corner of the room and a full bathroom. Upstairs, in the open loft, you can enjoy a friendly game of pool, sit in front of the large windows at the wooden bar with stools or relax on one of the two futons in front of the large screen TV and catch a game or movie.
This romantic cabin is nestled in the woods and is also pet friendly.
All cabin stays are provided with a free starter pack of coffee, paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, dish washer and dish washing detergent for your immediate use.

We rented Cubby Bear for the week of Thanksgiving and it was perfect for our family. The only thing I can say even remotely negative is that there are two futons in the photos of the loft, but only one futon was there when we arrived. We have two teens that we wanted to have both stay upstairs so that we wouldn't have to tiptoe around in the morning. No big deal, though, my daughter slept on the sofa sleeper in the main living area all was well.
Check in was easy. Someone from Timber Tops called us as we were driving up to TN and let us know the cabin was ready and what the code for the door was. We arrived and were inside in no time.
The essentials that they had already there (coffee, dish liquid/washing detergent/toilet paper/laundry soap/bath soap) was plenty enough for our stay.
Beds were comfortable and hot tub was great after a long day out exploring.
The drive up to Cubby Bear was up a pretty steep and winding road. Check in instructions informed us not to rely solely on GPS and we made sure to pay attention to signage on the road. Our GPS would have taken us right past the turn off, but the roads are very clearly marked. The parking area is a little steep, but pretty big as compared to the other parking areas we saw at some of the other cabins along our road.
The cabin is not on the "scenic view" side if you are looking to porch sit and admire the valley. That wasn't a factor for us as we were out and about most days and only got out on the porch one night for hot tubbing.
We would definitely book Cubby Bear for a future trip.
This cabin was a wonderful retreat for my family. The pictures online are accurate representations of the property. It is pet friendly but also very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with new pots and pans but we never found a cutting board.
The cabin was just a few short minutes up a beautiful mountain outside of Pigeon Forge, which meant we had nice and quiet at home but were close to lots of attractions.
