3.5 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, Sleeps 8
Snowcreek Reservations Team
I'd rather not write a review than write a bad one but that said, we were disappointed enough and here are our particular remarks. This is our fourth Christmas renting in Mammoth so we have three other comparisons. It’s premium renting season so my comments are based on how expensive it was for the amenities provided. Our first impression was that the place looked and appeared run down. Although it was clean, it’s had heavy use and showed it. The condo was built in the 70's and for the most part it doesn't look to have been updated. The wood cabinets, stair railings and doors are worn, the carpeted areas are dirty from a lot of use and seem due for replacement. In the bathroom my husband and I used, they supplied only one set of towels each. One bath, one hand, and one washcloth. I think there was one, 1/2 oz size complimentary shampoo but no lotions, conditioners, etc. The soap was the size of a matchbook. I felt like we were being rationed.
We like to make our meals at home when we are up there so having a well-stocked kitchen is important to us. They provided all new nice white dishes, glassware and silverware but the pots and pans were old and flimsy. The Teflon was peeling off some and others were warped. I was cooking with a fry pan when the handle just fell off. The cleanliness of the cookware was questionable. The handles were sticky and didn't inspire confidence they had been well cleaned. We washed everything before we used it. There was not much in the way of a stocked kitchen so if you like to cook, bring your own spices, oils etc. On a practical note: It’s a three story place with steps that you see through. Beware if you're traveling with small children or older people. They could easily slip a leg through the stairs! The kitchen is a couple of flights from ground level, so you're traversing the steps a lot. The positives: There are many windows and the place feels spacious. It snowed on Christmas Eve and we were able to get good views of the falling snow and enjoyed seeing that beauty. This is a general bonus for all Snowcreek rentals, but you get to use the Snowcreek Athletic Club for free. It’s a very large full service gym and spa. I usually try and find a place near the Village but was just as happy to be a few miles away as there are trails and a lot of open spaces to explore. The location is good. The property management team always responded timely to our requests.
Spacious and clean
Thank you for a great stay. The condo was larger than expected and conveniently located to everything we wanted.
Great Stay - Great Accommodating Staff
Well stocked condo, plenty of dishes for our big dinner night. The staff makes check-in and check-out super easy. They were accommodating of pets and our special check out needs. Would love to stay again!
Large Dog Friendly Condo
With 3 bedrooms and a loft there was more than enough room for our family of 6 adults and a large dog. We appreciated the fact that 3 bedrooms had king beds. It is a short walk to a very nice jacuzzi and sauna. The kitchen was decently stocked, though if you will do a lot of cooking, like we did, bring some staples, like spices, oil, coffee and sugar. You will need to drive to the slopes as this unit is not near a shuttle stop. A caution to those with small children or the elderly: this is a 4 story unit - lots of stairs! I remember staying in one of these when my kids were little and we were scared they would go through the slats in the banisters. But otherwise you (and your dog) will be happy with this unit.
Terrific stay for friends
My husband and I stayed with three other couples to get used to the altitude prior to packing in to the Hilton Lakes area. We were very comfortable and glad of all the space available for sorting out packs, etc. All the rooms were comfortable and clean, the best we have stayed in that allowed our very good dog. The management called very soon after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed.
