Property provided everything we needed. Very comfortable. Would definitely use again.
We stayed at this townhouse in July 2016.
LOCATION: The townhouse neighbours a derelict site which, when we visited, had some construction work ongoing with work starting daily at 7.45 am! It’s a fair walk to the closest local restaurants – onsite restaurant only has an uninviting buffet in evening. You need to drive or take a taxi to Paphos (10 mins to tourist strip and 10-20 mins to the nicer harbour area)
COMPLEX: The complex is split into 2 phases (this townhouse is in phase 2) which is separated by another piece of derelict land. The area in which the townhouse is located has maintenance issues – limited number of sunbeds, many of which are broken; considerable number of tiles missing from the closest pools with only one of 6 filters working. Not nice, especially for the children who like to spend their day in the pool. The water in the adjoining pool was cloudy suggesting maybe no filters were working but we didn’t investigate. In 2 weeks we didn’t see anyone clean the pools and the poolside bins were emptied once. Complex has the potential to be lovely but its in need of considerable TLC.
TOWNHOUSE: The townhouse itself is small and is also in need of some TLC. Some furniture is tired and needs replaced, the whole place needs repainted and the kitchen cupboards/drawers are need of a good clean with many of the kitchen utensils in need of replacement. It gives the impression that there is no ongoing maintenance / replacement schedule. The owner is keen to point out the “good value for money” but it really has the bare minimum and there are lots of add-ons to consider, which other properties in the same location include in the price – late check in/out, weekly linen change/cleaning, welcome pack, wifi, TV. On departure, after already agreeing a later than normal departure, with no mention of any additional fees, we were asked to leave in the house a “late check out” fee. First time I have ever been asked for that – this is usually given as a courtesy!
This complex may have been award winning once but has since fallen on hard times.
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely property with our 2 young children. It was really clean and had everything we needed to make our stay good. We would recommend this to a family. X
we had a great time staying here - good location - away from the hustle and bustle and a great complex - with plenty of pools to choose from.
The property is first class - very clean, both Christine in the uk and the management over in cyprus were very helpful.
We had a great time - very relaxing and the sun shone every day!
The residence was air conditioned, very stylish and comfortable and fully lived up to its description. The swimming pool was superb and well equipped with umbrellas and loungers which was welcome as the daytime temperature (when we stayed at end of June 2009) was 30-35C. It made an ideal base for our holiday. We had a car but could have managed without as Paphos nearby and could have joined coachtrips for the excursions into the Troudos Mountains and elsewhere. The local buses also looked very plentiful and reliable. The property location enabled us to enjoy the variety of Paphos which was full of history and culture but also had all the attractions of sun, sea and sand.Nightlife was lively without being loutish. There was a market as well as upmarket designer clothes shops so something for everyone. The Kykkos Monestry in the Troudos Mountains was absolutely stunning. Nearer to hand in Paphos itself we would also recommend the Tomb of The Kings (which are bigger and more numerous than we had imagined) and the Mosaics; and the Catacombs and the Byzantine Museum. When visiting the catacombs do not miss the little catacomb chapel with its icons which are in the catacomb by the "prayer" tree and the iron railings. We visited all of these and they are not to be missed. Beach lovers will also adore Coral Bay. Limassol was a straight run on the motorway but the castle was shut at 1pm on Sinday so we were too late to visit it. The restaurants at Paphos harbour are plentiful and a meal watching the sunset over the castle was magical. The information pack that the owners have left at the residence was very useful with tips for places to go and restaurants to try; and maps to borrow. I would give a miss to the Botanical Gardens near the airport which did not amount to much as they were just little plots in a garden centre at a junction of the motorway really. The owner provided good customer service with contact details of a local couple in case any assistance was needed. I would recommend this property and thought it was very good value.
We have had a fantastic time the accomodation is lovely and provides everything you could need. The pools on site are fantastic and our 4 year old had the time of his life. We mainly used the pools over on phase 1, one is a paddling pool and the second kept him mainly in his own depth.
We had a car and went to Coral Bay, Polis, Laatchi and the nearby waterpark - all of which were great trips out.
We would definitely use this property again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for good weather on a well equipped complex in easy reach of tourist spots.
Excellent holiday.
Situated between Paphos Harbour and Coral Bay with views of the coast and hills of nearby Tala. Near Tomb of the Kings and Paphos Castle. Paphos shops just a short drive away and a choice of beaches nearby, Coral Bay is a very popular sandy beach from which water sports can be done. Paphos Harbour has a very cosmopolitan feel and you can sit and watch the world go by. With a new esplanade it makes a stroll very enjoyable in a safe environment. There are loads of places to visit but here are a few:- Aphrodite's Rock, Donkey Sanctuary, Aquarium, Lara Beach where the turtles breed. Akamas nature reserve a short drive away.
