We greatly enjoyed this charming historic home. Completely updated with fine amenities and pristine cleanliness. A brief drive to snowmass and downtown aspen. Prefect for families or those traveling with a group.

Perfect for our needs and fit everyone perfectly! Thank you!

We were in Basalt to work a wedding and had a full floral team with us. Everyone had a bed and Stacy was incredibly flexible with our odd needs as florists and even supplied us with some extra tables for designing. Couldn't have been happier. So grayeful and it is such a quaint beautiful little neighborhood too!

Great location, comfortable home (except for hot days)

  • 4 of 5

Overall, we had a pleasant experience at this property. We were there for a very hot period of time and the house isn't air conditioned, but we're told that most properties in Basalt aren't . A few fans in the home helped cool it down but largely we had to leave during the day (probably a good thing b/c there is a lot to see around in the area). The home is nicely furnished with everything needed, including washer/dryer and dishwasher. We used one of the guest houses as well (the barn one), which was a nice space with a sitting room and bedroom. It was nice having the yard to play in, and a playground very close by. We found the walking path to town, which made access very convenient. For those with kids, the town's pool is a great place to cool off and enjoy the water for only $5 admission. We wish we could've stayed longer to explore more of the beautiful town and surrounding areas.

Nice property, clean, cute and scenic. A few issues but overall great.

  • 3 of 5

We had some problems with the A/C & heating unit which the agent responded to immediately. However we were either too hot or too cold. Also a little disappointed with no welcome (gift basket) on arrival. Even the sugar, salt and pepper was locked up, which doesn't send a welcoming message at all. Otherwise really nice place with comfortable beds and fine linens. We enjoyed our stay.

Owner's Response: Like the majority of homes Basalt, this one does not have A/C. At night, it's in the low 50 degrees, so the homes cool off and they stay pretty comfortable during the day. We provide a suite of full amenities- toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, bath soap, linens and a well-stocked kitchen of pots/pans/cooking utensils. The locked cabinet the reviewer referred to is a top cabinet, locked because the it's an owner's storage space.

This was a beautiful home, very clean, updated kitchen, and a very short walk to the center of Basalt. The guest houses were very nice to establish some privacy between couples.
