|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
Perched on a hilltop, this lovely traditionally-styled villa commands fantastic views over the Mediterranean coast and surrounding mountains. Situated just a few minutes drive from the bustling Spanish town of Estepona, this spacious villa is the perfect base for a fabulous holiday. From the house, it's just a short drive to Bermuda Beach where a walking track can take you all the way to Sabanillas and the port of Duquesa. Also nearby is the Albayt Country Club with its fitness centre and paddling pool for toddlers.
The villa is centred around a feature tower filled with original artworks and sculptures. The spacious and bright lounge dining area opens out onto the terrace and pool with built-in BBQ and al-fresco dining areas. The master suite has a super-kingsize bed, full en-suite bathroom and access directly to the terrace. The living areas, master suite and terraces are accessible for wheelchair users. Downstairs from the tower there are four more bedrooms, two with twin beds and two with doubles, and all with plenty of wardrobe space. There is a large guest bathroom and separate wc.
Golf: Buenas Noches lies between a whole host of fantastic golf courses with Europe's number one course Valderamma and the equally stunning San Roque, Sotogrande, Finca Courtesin and La Reserva. There are many other great courses. Estepona GC is literally 5 minutes away.
Nature: Buenas Noches lies within easy reach of a National Park which nestles beneath the mountain that flanks the house. The park offers opportunities to picnic amongst the pines and with views over the coast. The White Village of Casares sits at the top of the mountain offering stunning views across the coast and valleys and this is an ideal way to experience the culture and heritage of old Spain.
Sports and Fitness: There is a country club at the bottom of the hill from the Villa offering fitness and tennis and approx 20 minutes drive away is Buena Vista Bowls Club which played host to the Andalucian Open this year. The advantage of this lovely family house is that it is tranquil at both day and night with nothing but the sea breeze and waves to listen too. A drive of just 5 minutes in either direction will introduce a multitude of bars, restaurants and clubs many staying open until dawn. The beach is reachable by a footbridge from the bottom of the hill but this is quite rocky and a fabulous and fully guarded beach which stretches for miles is just a few hundred yards along the road (best by car)
I am an event producer with an office in London but I spend most of my time in Wales with my three teenage children when I'm not travelling for work. there are some clues around the house that point to my previous life as a professional musician.
Trevor Hamilton purchased this villa in 2002
A very spacious property with the most spectacular views and only minutes from absolutely anything you could wish for a great holiday. The house is very well furnished with all utilities, high speed fibre optic WiFi and all TV and Sat channels inc Sport and Movies.
I defy anyone not to find something to suit their personal tastes within a few minutes of the house. There are fantastic restaurants both traditional and modern. There are clubs and bars open until dawn and there are fantastic walks both along the beach and in the national park behind. Having said all that guests will never be troubled by noise or holiday revellers here, it is almost silent at the house. A Car is essential but how wonderful to return from a great day out to your own haven of peace with a lovely pool and the most fantastic views - cocktails on the terrace anyone?
We booked the villa very late in the day due to work commitments. We received confirmation back very quickly along with directions on how to get to the villa and information regarding who to contact when we were leaving the airport etc. Upon arrival Jenni greeted us at the gates and we were given a tour and shown how to work everything. In truth the literature in the house was very comprehensive so whatever we missed on the tour we found in the instruction manual. Overall the villa is very impressive and is exactly what it looks like in the pictures so there were no surprises. The bedrooms are large, comfortable and cool so sleeping was easy. The lounge area was excellent as there were sliding doors on both sides which kept a steady breeze blowing through the house. High speed WIFI and a comprehensive satellite package kept me entertained whilst my wife and daughter sizzled away in the midday sun. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you'll need and more for self catering but in truth the fridge took a week to get cold even on its highest setting and the kettle could do with updating. Apart from those two minor issues everything was perfect. We always do villa holidays and have to admit it's one of the better ones so we would have no hesitation in going back. Overall an excellent villa and a very professional service from the owner.
An ideal place to get away from it all, but never too far from the sights and crowds if you want it.
Set in a hillside viewing point overlooking Estapona bay, with views for miles in every direction.
An amazing place that would suit all age groups, and with five bedrooms its large enough to cater for two families. The pool is amazing, and hard to keep out of on the hot days, and yet the palacios inside is always cool with its air conditioned rooms.
Thoroughly recommended, and an excellent base to explore the Costa. The wifi was better than anything we have in the UK, and kept the kids busy whilst others relaxed.
We booked this Villa to celebrate my parents golden wedding and my mam's 70th birthday. You are always unsure when you book accommodation as to whether it will live up to expectations however Villa Karma does not disappoint. Situated at a prominent raised position the views are truly breathtaking, sitting each morning and evening enjoying breakfast and dinner whilst overlooking the Mediterranean on one side and the mountains to other was really memorable.
Upon arrival Jenni greeted us and gave us all the information required whilst Trevor had left a lovely card and flowers for my parents, a really nice touch. The villa has everything you could want and the pool, which was actually larger than I expected, was fabulous and regularly cleaned by the pool guy! There were 11 of us in the party but you never felt crowded with a nice sheltered seating area outside for those wanting to escape the sun.
We had hired cars which helped in getting about however we did walk down to the beach from the house in about 10-15 minutes and then onto Sabinallas which took about an hour at a leisurely pace, enjoying some fine food at Pavarotti's. We spent a nice evening in Estepona as well as Puerto Duquesa both within 10 minutes drive of the villa and had day trips out to Gibraltar and Tarifa as well as a trip to the Spanish Hill town of Casares which was only a 20 minute drive from the villa. Back at the villa we used the BBQ to cook alfresco and spent mainly lazy days around the pool.
There are plenty of shops on hand for food and we used the Lidl just past the Casares roundabout which had afresh bakery, deli counter as well as on occasions a fresh fish counter.
This really was an unforgettable trip and staying at Villa Karma made it even more special many thanks Trevor and Jenni.
Villa Karma is set in a fantastic location, close to the bustling ports of Estepona & Du Quesa, where you have a wide variety of restaurants. The villa has everything that you would need for a great home from home holiday stay . There wasn't anything that we felt was missing and suited the needs of a family from young to old. The views from one of the patio areas was stunning taking in the coast from Marbella down to Gibraltar. The middle patio area provided welcome shade throughout the day, with the third beside the beautiful pool and BBQ area. There was more than enough garden furniture to accommodate our large family group. We were all very sad to leave at the end of the week and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Karma to our family and friends and hope to return again in the future. We would also like to thank Trevor the owner for answering any questions before our stay and Jenni for seeing us in and showing us around and providing us with provisions for our first night.
We booked Villa Karma for a surprise family get together for my Mum’s 60th birthday and we could not have chosen a better venue. Set atop a hill, it provides breathtaking views of the mountains and coastline of the Cost Del Sol, with a pretty and well-maintained garden area, spacious terraces and a great big swimming pool. Although the pool isn’t heated, over the course of our week’s stay it warmed from bracing to refreshing under the glorious Mediterranean sunshine so we got full use of it, even in early April. A generous drive is complemented by ample room for on street parking so there’s space for a hire car or two, which you’ll want to reach the many local attractions and amenities if, that is, you decide you even want to leave the house!
The villa itself is spectacular. Split over two levels, it feels comfortable and luxurious and even with ten of us (including two toddlers) there was still so much room that whether you were in the mood for hanging out with the group or some peace and quiet, there was ample space for everybody. The bedrooms are comfortable, clean and well-furnished, four of them on the lower floor which stays nice and cool even on the hottest days. The Villa provides many excellent facilities such as satellite TV, a SONOS speaker, a DVD play and even a Nintendo Wii. The well-appointed kitchen provides the usual amenities plus the bonus of a washing machine, dishwasher and tumble drier and if all that wasn’t enough, there’s a kick-ass barbecue outside because in a climate this glorious, who wants to eat indoors?
What really gives the Villa Karma that extra, magical feeling is in the little touches all around the house from the owner and his family. A well-stocked library of books in the study is peppered with toys, ornaments and sentimental knick-knacks and in the children’s bedrooms a lovingly curated collection of cherished toys provides an exciting welcome for little ones, making a holiday house feel like a holiday home from the moment you walk in the door.
Trevor and his housekeeper Jennifer could not be friendlier or more helpful, and ever responsive to any questions or queries during the stay. Trevor’s also an invaluable source of advice for places to go, from the nearby port and beaches of Estepona to wonderful restaurants in the mountains. Thanks to Trevor and his villa, our holiday exceeded our every hope and expectation. It’s a wonderful base from which to explore a friendly and beautiful part of the world.
The property was clean, large and had a great pool. We had 8 in our group and all had plenty of space. The outdoor eating/chilling out area was fantastic with great panoramic views of the Costa Del Sol. With a well equipped kitchen and a massive barbecue it was easy to enjoy cooking for a group of people. The pool area is not overlooked and the garden is very well maintained.
The house keeper was a great help and very kind (thanks Jenni).
The villa is at the top of a hill so i would recommend a car if this is daunting. We did not hire a car and found it easy to walk in the sun to the nearest supermarket about 20mins away and got taxis back.
The nearest beach is a longer walk (30-40mins) away but it is a beautiful walk along the coast line and you are rewarded with great restaurants and beach games such as volleyball at the end!
I would recommend this villa and would love to stay there again!
Buenas Noches is situated between Estepona Port and Duquesa Port close to the towns of Estepona and Sabinillas. The Villa is close to the beach and there are many golf courses nearby,The pretty white village of Casares is within easy drive with stunning scenery as you go up the mountain. The airports of Gibraltar and Malaga are serviced by numerous budget airlines. Marbella (and Purto Banus) and Gibraltar are equa distant to the Villa about 30 minutes drive.
The house overlooks the sea on two sides and is flanked by the mountain. There are shops and restaurants nearby and the ports both offer bustling night life. The new motorway offers a fast alternative to explore further South towards Cadiz or all along the coast to Malaga passing Marbella, MIjas and Torremolinos.
