has long been defined by boom-and-bust cycles and dramatic population shifts. In the 1920s and 1930s, the neighborhood was the center of the first Harlem Renaissance, a cultural high point in the history of the American black community. In the late part of the 20th century, Harlem experienced a massive building boom. Newer buildings range in size and style from studios to lofts and luxury condos. Harlem boasts many of the finest original townhouses in New York.
There are a growing number of shopping options on 125th Street, and in addition to Central Park, Marcus Garvey Park offers twenty acres of play-space, concerts and events—like the City's Charlie Parker Jazz Festival—between 120th and 124th Streets. Iconic venues like the Apollo Theater draw visitors from around the world. The New York Times recently reported that the population of "Greater Harlem" had grown more since 2000—former U.S. President Bill Clinton moved into his Harlem office in 2001—than in any decade since the 1940s.
Harlem's newest population is refreshingly diverse, made up of residents who enjoy the neighborhood’s history, the gorgeous homes and unrenovated gems, oozing with potential. Subways include the 6 for East Harlem; the 2 or 3 for Central Harlem; and the A, B, C, or D for West Harlem.

My friends and I appreciate how smooth and professional the reservation process was. The agent was great with assisting us and answering all of our questions. We were also accommodated by being able to leave our bags inside the house until our flight departed. This house has it all! I will definitely book with this agency in the future!
I rented this place over the recent Memorial Day weekend. The property is great-5 Stars all the way. Booking was easy, and Steven promptly responded to questions that I had. Check in was a breeze, and when we arrived the place was immaculate.
The property is recently renovated, and the result is amazing! The digital temperature control is a big plus. The renovation tastefully updates the property while retaining original features such as exposed brick walls. The property is actually nicer than the pictures on the web site.
Bedrooms all feature comfortable beds, nice linen, and tvs in all rooms. Washer/dryers are very modern. Very spacious closets for a Manhattan property. The rooftop deck had a great breeze even though it was very warm outside. Basement featured two futons and a nice tv. There was plenty of space for our group.
I am a Native New Yorker, and rented this property so that I could have friends and family visit over the holiday. My home is not very big. Everyone that visited loved the place, and we made good use of the spacious back yard to mingle, play music, and dance.
I met several of the neighbors. The area is very safe, and most neighbors are familiar with the recent renovation. The property is extremely close to the same subway. You could walk out the door hour before showtime, and easily make it to any theater in midtown.
Elegant, spacious, tastefully decorated, modern appliances, nearby transportation, safe describe this wonderful property. If you are visiting NYC, your group would be better off staying here as opposed to renting multiple over priced hotel rooms. I am employed in the travel industry, so I travel a lot. I have many experiences to compare this property to. I confidently rate this property a solid FIVE STARS!!!
What a fabulous place!! Very clean, quiet and comfortable! I don't normally sleep well, I slept good here! Nice TV's in the bedrooms. Steve, (owner/contact) was very helpful and accommodating. Don't let the word "Harlem" scare you, it is a nice area, not scary at all. Less than 1/2 block from the subway, really!!! We will definitely stay here again.
We were lucky to be the first to rent this newly renovated and furnished townhouse/duplex apartment. Two families rented and WOW is all we can say. The pictures were spot on. We rented the entire town house which was made up of two separate apartments. They are basically the same apartments but one of us had a back yard and the other had a roof-top deck. We were together but we had our own space which made it even more enjoyable. Everything, and I mean everything, is done in this house to provide a comfortable, even a luxurious stay. Clean is the operative word here. Sunlight. There is not a thing that the owners did not think of to ensure we had everything we needed. We were saying that we wished we had this as our permanent residence This is a brand new, beautifully constructed structure that is on a tree-lined street with other townhouses. It is a peaceful setting. We were across the street from the subway. Get yourself a metro card and you can be anywhere in New York in a matter of minutes. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, you will enjoy these beautiful apartments even more!
