Tomb of the Kings area, exclusive Sirena Lighthouse complex with swimming pool

Our family owned Sirena Lighthouse apartment is in a fantastic location, in a quiet area just off the Tomb of the Kings road in Paphos. With access to all local amenities (supermarkets, bars, restaurants, shops) whilst also being secluded. The Blue Flag Faros (Lighthouse) beach is just 250 yards down the road, and the apartment has a private veranda with a sea-view. The swimming pool and sunbeds are a bonus, enabling visitors to take full advantage of the year-round sunny Cyprus weather.

Situated on the ground floor, and with additional access via a ramp, the apartment is ideal for families or those with walking difficulties. Brand new in 2008, the apartment has 2 bedrooms (1 twin, 1 double) a fully-fitted kitchen with granite worktops, leather sofas (one of them a sofa-bed), iPod docks in both bedrooms and a flat screen TV with a DVD player and plenty of films to choose from.

With secure off-road parking and only 20 minutes from the airport, it's ideal for those visiting Cyprus for a wedding.

About Sue or Richard Davenport

We're a family from Derbyshire, UK and have 2 grown-up kids and one young daughter (who learned to swim in the pool at Sirena Lighthouse and who's most at home when we visit Paphos!)

The photo here shows us on the terrace whilst the apartments were being built in early 2008... The cement mixer has now gone though!

We both work full-time and decided to rent out our apartment in order to make the costs more manageable. We've been very lucky so far in that most of our guests have taken really good care of it and treated it like their own home.

Why Sue or Richard Davenport chose Paphos & Suburbs

We chose our apartment because of its location and the fact there were only 17 apartments on the complex. Some of the bigger complexes are noisy and miles from the beach, and the location of the Sirena Lighthouse complex was just perfect... overlooking the sea, close to all the amenities and yet really quiet.

Cyprus itself is so child-friendly that it's a great place for family holidays and although there's a very English vibe (they drive on the left and use 3-pin plugs) you can still easily find the very traditional Cypriot places, which we love.

What makes this apartment unique

We love sitting on the terrace in the evening, watching the sun go down behind the lighthouse and listening to the sea.

The swimming pool is just a few steps from the terrace, and is perfect for cooling down after a hot day in the sun - and it's lovely not to have to get ready for dinner on the evenings you choose to stay in and throw some meat under the grill.

Supurb apartment

Sayed here first 2 weeks of Oct 09 and had a wonderful time, the apartment was very well equipped with thought put in to extras i.e. hair straighteners, beach towls, books, dvd's, proper satellite tv (sky) ipod/mp3 speakers/docking stations, tea lights for outside at night etc. We had a fabulous holiday, the apartment is central to Kato Paphos and a car isn't strictly necessary, although we did hire one for a few days from Savvas (next to Damon Hotel). Martelli's Restaurant near to the Tomb of the Kings was great, as always and I would not hesitate to book this apartment again. Thanks Sue & Richard.

Perfect Location and Apartment

Everything about our stay was fab. The apartment was immaculate, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Nice and close to the beach and a lovely clean pool. Some restaurants are really close by but not on top of the accommodation so it was really quiet at night and in the mornings. The marina and a larger choice of restaurants might have been a little further away, but only a ten minute stroll away and if you struggled walking there were plenty of taxis around which wouldnt cost much.

All in all a lovely stay, I wouldnt have changed anything to be honest, apart from staying longer! I wish I'd had the option of staying here when my daughter was little as it was so practical, safe and comfy with all the excitement and relaxation of a sunshine holilday abroad.

Serena Lighthouse Apartment

Stayed here for 6 weeks in January & February 2011, the property was really clean well maintained, and very well equiped, in a small family complex We found it to be convenient for all local amenaties, and for those who dont drive the bus services were excellent. I would definately recomend the apartment to family and friends.

We are so impressed we have booked already for 2 months for next winter

Perfect break

We ( family of 3) rented the apartment in the last week of July , the instructions on how to get to the apartment were clear and easy to follow.

Once we arrived it was easy to park ( secure car park) and get in.

The apartment itself is roomy , cool and well equipped and situated perfectly for either trips into town , the harbour or further afield.

The loacals are friendly and there are some fantastic restaurants locally ( all of which are mentioned in the "things to do book" in the apartment)

Would definately reccommend to family , friends and anyone else who is looking for a relaxing holiday in the sun - dont just take my word for it give it a go yourselves.

Sirena Lighthouse Stay - June 2010

From being picked up from Paphos Airport on arrival (Stevies Taxi's recommended - also took us back to the airport) our holiday met all expectations and more.

We took my mother and father with us and this was their first experience of going on a privately organised holiiday they were pleasantly suprised and are hoping to go back to this apartment themselves later in the year.

The apartment was imacculately clean upon arrival with a complimentary bottle of wine to greet us.

Due to the ideal location of the apartment we could either enjoy the beach, approx 500 yards away or the private pool ideally situated directly out side the apartment. The pool and surrounding area were cleaned almost daily!. As the apartment is situated in a private block many of the neighbours live in the adjoining apartments permanently and are very welcoming and friendly.

There are many surrounding bars and restaurants within a few minutes walking distance and Paphos harbour is only a 20 minute walk away if you fancy something different. the bus stop is on the corner which provides a regular service to either side of Paphos and surrounding areas which we found very useful for exploring (Corelia beach highly recommended).

Springtime at Sirena Apartment

This is the first time my husband and I stayed in Paphos, however, we have been to Cyprus several times (Larnaca, Farmagusta (before 1974) and Limasol).

The apartment is very centrally located, away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to all amenities, shops, restaurants, beach, Paphos centre/harbour and also the old town with its market place.

We arrived just as dusk was setting in and we had ordered a car for collection at the airport. The instructions we received from Sue & Richard as to how to get to the apartment from the airport were excellent, we found it without going wrong, and with darkness setting in. The welcome pack was waiting and a 'bottle of wine' - thank you.

On waking the first morning, we saw exactly that which we saw in the photo on the web-site, blue skies and the Medetiranean Sea a short walk away. Just round the corner was a bus stop to go into Paphos or in the opposite direction - Coral Bay. And restaurants galore on the main road, too many to try them all, but we had a few favourites.

The apartment itself was well equipped, so you had the choice of either cooking or eating out. It was very modern and had all the mod-cons you could ask for, TV, Satellite, DVD, MP3 player. They even supplied books and DVD's.

What we found incredible was the weather. We arrived mid March and two weeks we were there we enjoyed temperatures of 20/21 C plus, some days it was close to 25C. You will definitely need sun screen as we found out when using the path from the beach by the apartment to walk into Paphos (or the other way towards the Kings of teh Thombs). It was a comfortable 25-30 minute walk at a slow pace (we are getting on a bit) and all the people we met were so friendly.

The swimming pool looked inviting, but it was still to cool for us to have a dip.

We have been disappointed in the past when booking private accommodation via the internet. But on this occasion, we were not - very good indeed.

Would recommend and will use again if we visit Cyprus in future.

Paphos itself consists of two distinct areas, the Old Town which is situated on a hillside overlooking the sea, and the tourist area which is centred around the harbour area. The tourist area has hundreds of bars and restaurants, including Bar Street with lots of bars and clubs. There are also many traditional Cypriot tavernas serving local dishes. The Old Town has many market areas where local goods and produce can be purchased, and is well worth a visit.

Slightly further afield are other places worth exploring such as Coral Bay Beach (a 15 minute bus ride away), the Troodos Mountains, Famagusta, Nicosia (the capital city), and other popular resorts such as Limassol, Ayia Napa and Protaras

  • The bathroom has a bath with shower over, and a frosted glass shower screen. The sink is built into a vanity unit providing storage for toiletries, and there is also a WC. The shower and tap fittings are all Grohe and the finish is excellent. We also provide a potty and step for toddlers. And best of all, toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet (still unusual in Cyprus) as the plumbing is on the new drainage system!
