Open staircase leads to two bedrooms, the larger bedroom has a standard double divan and the small bedroom two single divans and double doors lead out onto a private and secluded roof terrace with table and chairs.
A pair of stylish Victorian cottages with a modern interiors, which back onto beautiful Marble Hill House and park, which in turn sweeps down to the River Thames between Richmond and Twickenham Riverside. The cottages are located in one of the most prestigious streets in the area, surrounded by stunning early eighteenth century architecture, with two houses boasting blue plaques. There is no through traffic making the street very quiet. Both cottages have a sitting room and open plan dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, gas hob and electric oven. Modern bathroom with shower over the bath. Two bedrooms, one double and one with two singles. Terrace Cottage has a secluded roof terrace accessed through double doors in the smaller bedroom and Garden Cottage has a lovely garden accessed from the dining room. Flat screen digital TV, DVD player, wireless broadband and a selection of books, dvds and games.

I purchased Garden Cottage as a pied-a-terre while filming for the BBC and it is still our family holiday home today. I acquired Terrace Cottage more recently and it is let the majority of the time as a holiday rental.

The cottages are located in one of the loveliest streets in the area and is surrounded by stunning eighteenth century architecture, including two houses with blue plaques. There is no through traffic and it is just a short walk to the river with lovely riverside walks. A twelve minute walk to Richmond Bridge and there is very good public transport. A tranquil setting, but within easy reach of shops, restaurants, theatres and cinemas and only 25 mins into the centre of London.

A pretty and secluded roof terrace to enjoy a drink, read a book, play a game of scrabble or just enjoy the sun.
The property is NON SMOKING
We do not expect guests to clean the property before departure, but we do ask that it is left fairly clean and tidy.
There is no cleaning charge, unless the property is left in a dirty state, when a surcharge will be stopped from the security deposit.
Arrival is from 4.30 pm and departure by 12 noon.
The rental includes gas, electricity, heating, constant hot water, bedding, bed linen and towels.
A booking deposit of £300 per week or part week is required upon booking, which is non refundable in the event of cancellation.
Once the the booking is confirmed, it is very unlikely that the dates can be changed, as other bookings will have been accepted on either side.
The balance is payable eight weeks before arrival and once paid is also non refundable, however, we would always endeavour to re-let the property and if successful we would refund the balance, although this cannot be guaranteed.
We strongly suggest that guests take out holiday insurance to cover the cost of the rental.
We also ask for a separate security deposit of £250 ( £500 for longer lets) to be paid prior to arrival, to be held against any major breakages or damage, this deposit is of course refundable on departure.
Please note the staircase is open from half way down and is not suitable for very young children or anyone infirm. We supply a child gate, but parents with young children must take full responsibility for their safety.
Wonderful stay at this delightful cottage in St Margaret's, a few minutes walk from Richmond. Cosy & comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Ideal location for exploring this beautiful borough with easy access to central London. A rural feel in a peaceful location with a great selection of local eateries and already looking forward to our next visit.
For our needs and wants, this property really was in the perfect location. Moments from beatiful river walks and 15 mins walk from Richmond. It is also ideally located for getting into London with the train station 10 minutes up the road.
The property itself is well proportioned for a family of four and has a lovely roof garden for the evenings. A wonderful park is 30 seconds walk from the property so the lack of garden is no issue whatsoever.
The owner has been extremely welcoming and helpful throughout the whole process and the recommendations for activities / places to eat were all superb.
Overall a five star experience which we will certainly look to do again. Highly recommended.

My husband and I spent two delightful months in this cottage. Excellent bus service from the end of the street into Richmond city center. Buses run every 3-8 minutes. It is very convenient to take the tube to other parts of London. The unit is well appointed and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. Val and Freddie were extremely helpful and responsive. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance and many more in Richmond.
The neighborhood was so interesting and beautiful that some days we just stayed local and walked around. The Thames is about a five minute walk with a great walking path along the river. Lovely area to walk our dog.
We cannot wait to return.
My friend and I recently spent a very enjoyable short break in this delightful property, so much so, I thought I would like to write a review.
The cottage was really nice, very comfortable, extremely clean and well equipped, with a pretty roof terrace. The location was just perfect, very quiet, but near to all amenities. We were supplied with complimentary parking permits, which enabled us to park opposite the cottage for the entire stay, so we were able to use public transport to get around to see the sights.
Richmond is a lovely place with lots of interesting places to visit, we especially enjoyed Kew Gardens and were particularly lucky with the weather which was bright and sunny.
I think this cottage is a little gem and I look forward to making a return visit.
This was our second visit and if anything we were more impressed. Val was very accommodating with our particular requests which was greatly appreciated. The location is ideal, and makes a perfect base to live like a local, which is always our goal. Exceedingly convenient to everything, yet perfectly tranquil. It’s a terrific property in a great spot, and it feels like home away from home without any effort. We look forward to returning.
The cottage is within a short walking distance of St. Margaret's Village for local shops, restaurants, pubs, Twickenham Film Studios and St. Margarets station, with direct trains to London Waterloo, as well as Wimbledon and Kingston upon Thames. A twelve minute walk to Richmond, which has great shops, theatres, cinemas, riverside restaurants and bars and river trips to Westminster, Greenwich and Hampton Court. Richmond Station has trains to Londo Waterloo, as well as Windsor and Eton Riverside and Ascot and there is also of course the London underground serving the whole of London. Bus shop within a few yards of the cottage with numerous buses to Richmond, Twickenham, Kew, Heathrow, Hammersmith and Hampton Court. Ferry service across the Thames to Ham House, Petersham Polo Ground and Richmond Park or walk along the tow-path to both Richmond and Twickenham. On th doorstep beautiful Marble Hill House and Park, the River Thames, Turners House, Orleans House and York Gardens, also within very easy reach are Kew Gardens, Strawberry Hill House, Richmond Park, Bushey Park, Twickenham Rugby Ground, Syon House, Ham House, Eel Pie Island and Hampton Court Palace.
