This bright comfortable duplex apartment is located in the heart of Meribel - one of the best-loved and biggest ski and mountain sports resorts in the world. The apartment has a prime position in the resort, located just a few steps from the village centre. As there are a number of ski villages in the valley which makes understanding locations difficult, our apartment is 2 mins walk from the Meribel Tourist Office and 5 minutes walk from the Olympic Park where the main ski lifts depart and where you will also find the swimming pool and skating rink So the nearest pistes are just 250 metres away in the centre of the village, and the apartment is surrounded by shops bars and restaurants. The apartment has chalet style furnishings and the balcony has uninterrupted views over the beautiful mountain scenery, ideal for relaxing after a day on the slopes. With a double bedroom and a large mezzanine, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets, the apartment offers a comfortable and convenient base for either a family or a group of friends. It also has an underground parking space.

A holiday is made much more memorable if you are staying in a great apartment. We think you'll enjoy our apartment for a few different reasons. Firstly it is in a very very convenient location - everything really is on the doorstep. Secondly, it is an inviting place to spend time. There is a picture-postcard view and a comfortable settee to enjoy it from! The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms spacious with baths that you can lie-back in and relax. The kitchen is tiny but everything is there to cook and then to sit down comfortably to enjoy your meal. We have spent many happy holidays here and we think you will too!

For children: Although children are welcome in our apartment, we don't feel it is suitable for very young children. The mezzanine is accessed by an open stairway and the lovely open space above the sitting room is not safe for very young children. Similarly, the balcony outside is high up. However, once the children have reached the age where they are more sensible, they will love the open-plan mezzanine and their parents will love the fact that the double-bedroom is tucked away quietly downstairs where they can enjoy a lie-in without being disturbed! Older children can safely walk the short distance to the shops in the village and can even reach the village sports centre with its swimming pool and skating rink without crossing over any major roads.

In summer, older children will enjoy the outdoor pool in the apartment complex. This is a great sunny spot and very warm and sheltered on sunny days.

Summer Activities: Over the last few years, Meribel has developed into a great summer activities centre. It is a main centre now for mountain biking (our apartment has a secure underground garage for bike storage) with an extensive network of trails in the surrounding mountains. Throughout the summer there are a number of mountain-biking events. Walkers and nature-lovers are spoilt for choice with the Vanoise National Park - marmots and bouquetins are everywhere! The 18 hole golf course in Meribel is superb - watch out for low flying places as you tee-off on the 3rd! There is also a fantastic, well-maintained driving range. If none of the above appeals - try the tennis courts or perhaps you might like to pony trek. The riding centre also offers an extensive programme of lessons. Adventurous kids can let off steam on the climbing wall in the sports centre or cool down in the ice rink - skate-hire is no problem. The Meribel tourist office has an extensive web page - have a look at what is on offer.

Having skied all our lives, we wanted to have somewhere in a great skiing location. Sharing our apartment with our guests meant we could have an apartment which was really well located and also really well equipped - we like to think everyone benefits. It gives us great pleasure to share it and to hear how much people enjoy their holidays in our place.

What makes this apartment unique

This property ticked all the boxes for us. Bright with wonderful views, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, underground car parking and only minutes from the centre of Meribel and the pistes. It is a wonderful place to be, winter or summer.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Meribel ......... As you can probably guess from my email sign-off, I love to cook and it is a great opportunity to do so when on holiday. (I know it is most people's nightmare!) Even though the kitchen was small, is was so well-equipped, that we manage to eat very well!!!

New Year in Meribel

The apartment is just as described and easy to find thanks to the excellent info pack sent by owners. We arrived later than planned and the local management company phoned us to make arrangements for a key to be left. Very helpful and friendly. The layout worked well for us - 2 adults and 3 children - as there is privacy with the separate bedroom downstairs and flexibility with the lounge and mezzanine areas.

The 2 bathrooms are very handy. The apartment was very warm and cosy to come home to after a day skiing and there was always plenty of hot water for baths / showers.

Note for anyone in Meribel over New Year - excellent torchlit descent and firework display at the Chaudanne area on New Years Eve - not to be missed.

Comfortable and spacious with a good location

This is a surprisingly spacious apartment. Nicely equipped and maintained. Location is good- walking distance from the centre. It was great for summer mountain biking and I can imagine it would work fine for ski/snowboarding. We had a very good stay in this property.

A great week

We found the appartment cosy, comfortable and welcoming. It is in a good position and has an attractive view with small balcony. The underground car park was a great bonus. The flat was clean and linen and towels all as advertised. We were very happy with our choice and would return again. Vari and Jamie were very helpful and we had a great week. Elisabeth

Perfect Location and View

The apartment is fabulos. It is 5 minutes walking in lifts, a very nice area, with a lot a restaurants where you can find nice places to eat. Mr and Mrs Brown was very helpful, we thank a lot for all. They answered the email and our questions in a very short time, and helped as much as they could. The apartment is very nice and modern decorated. The rooms are clean, there are two bathrooms and two toilettes. In the kitchen you can find all the necessary equipment.The apartment is actually even better than in the pictures.We enjoyed it a lot and we had a very pleasant holiday.I would definitly advise someone to rent it, you will not regret this choice for sure.

CLEAN, AIRY, AND WELL LOCATED

Four of us stayed here over new year 2016. The flat was on the third floor, so whilst near the centre of the village, quiet with views to the mountains opposite. Small but good bathrooms and constant hot water. The second bedroom is above the sitting area, and larger than the ground floor double, and has a double plus a single bed. Very helpful with key arrangements as we arrived late and left early. Skis can be left in a locker on the ground floor which made life easy. Perfect place for skiing - quite tight sitting area for all of us - but it didn't matter as we were out most of the time. Would recommend highly.

Our apartment has an ideal location for holidays. In winter it is close to ski pistes, shops, bars, restaurants, night-life, the sports centre with swimming pool, spa and skating rink. The Alps have fantastic sun in winter and summer which you can enjoy from the balcony. Just relax and enjoy the views! For a summer visit, the beautiful mountain-side is on the doorstep along with all the sports the village offers - walking, mountain biking, para-gliding, tennis, golf, swimming - and of course sunbathing. In summer, the apartment enjoys free use of a beautiful outdoor pool located in the complex. Meribel is particularly good for mountain biking holidays in summer and our apartment has a secure underground garage for convenient bike storage.

Ski: Meribel, in the centre of the Three Valleys area is one of the most picturesque ski and snowboarding resorts in the Alps - and offers pistes which seems endless. Apart from the Meribel Valley itself, with swift access the huge adjoining ski areas of Courchevel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens, there is definitely a new slopes for every day of your holiday! In addition, the piste management is fantastic. Nowadays, with new snow-making technology the snow is much better prepared and preserved and slopes are open from the beginning of December to the end of April (and often much longer for the ski tourers out there!) Meribel is also the place to browse for new ski equipment. Numerous ski shops offer an incredible range of both skis and snowboards - not to mention very trendy ski wear.
