Very Cozy Cabin only 2.5 miles from the Park

  • 5 of 5

I booked this place 4-6 months in advance not sure if we could make the trip or not. We decided to go but didn't look at the posting again til about a week before we left. My wife had not seen it. Once I showed her the photos we became quickly concerned it looked too small for my wife and I and our two, now very tall 15 and 18 yr old grandkids. We looked to cancel and find something else but were left w/ little options that late. We stayed at the cabin anyways and found it to work just fine w/ the two kids on the pull-out couch. Kitchen was a bit tight w/ too many cooks in the kitchen. But it was truly a charming place, very comfortable, lots of windows, we really enjoyed it. The owner provided many of those intangibles we needed for our entire stay being in a remote location such as charcoal, laundry and dishwashing detergent, paper goods. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone else.

Beautiful and quiet!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a very wonderful week using this cabin as our base camp for Yosemite. A much quieter and less crowded alternative to the over-rated, over-priced, accommodations of the Yosemite Valley.

The drive to the valley is only 45 minutes and was a delightful experience. Check out "Alpine Creek" at 5000 feet on the way to the other destinations.

We loved the stream sounds and the wonderful beauty of Fish Camp.

Cozy cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this cabin while visiting Yosemite. Clean, quiet and comfortable for a party of 2! When the line into Yosemite was backed up on Sunday, we turned around the rode the Sugar Pine Railroad train just down the street. Had yummy breakfast burritos at the Fish Camp General Store too. Great time and wonderful to come back to this cabin after a day of exploring the park.

A cozy cabin near the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park

  • 5 of 5

My grandson and I spent a week in this cozy cabin perched over a brook. In mid-April we had 4 inches of snow one day, and the gas-fired fireplace proved very useful for keeping warm. It was convenient being only two miles from the southern entrance to Yosemite National Park, The kitchen and living area are comfortable, as are the bedroom and bathroom. A nearby country store proved convenient for extras that we hadn't brought with us from our shopping in San Francisco and Oakland (which is about 15 miles to the south).
