Our home is located in North San Antonio in the River Bend Subdivision. It’s a short drive north of Downtown and the Riverwalk. The International Airport is only 13 minutes away. It’s a two story house with five bedrooms including a bedroom/bathroom downstairs adapted for people with special needs. The master bedroom has a terrace overviewing the pool and the backyard.
This house is ideal for those loving nature. Deer and squirrels roam around in the backyard, where you can have the unique opportunity to feed them everyday. Or sit down in the terrace or patio and enjoy watching them.
Many attractions are nearby, like the San Antonio Zoo, Brackenridge Park, AT&T Center, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Sea World. If you like golfing, Silverhorn Golf Club is less than a mile away, a short drive around the corner.
After you spend your day shopping, you can relax in the backyard, swimming in the pool and barbequing in the outdoor kitchen…. Or just have some take-out from the restaurants near-by.

This is a very cozy house with a fair sized pool. The best thing is that the pool can be heated. We were there in March and unfortunately for us, we caught the cold front. So we heated up the pool and the kids were able to swim. That made the kids happy. We like the that the house has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Everyone had their own room. The bedrooms are small but we only need to sleep. We're out exploring San Antonio all day. We also like that the house is all wood and ceramic tile floors. I have severe allergies so this really helped a lot. I would sneeze all night if it was carpet floors.
We are a group of 12 Golfers that love to stay in those houses. First they are close to main attractions in the zone and secondly we always receive a very good attentiveness by Becky Salinas.
We like to spend time making barbecues around the pool, so my only suggestion will be to keep the Grill area in better condition, needs more ilumination and the Grill needs some maintenance.
But overall we love our stay in San Antonio an we are already making plans to return next year.
The house was nice. I liked the fire pit to roast marshmallows. The king size bed was horrible; I could feel all the springs in it. The pool was not clean and they ended up shocking it while we were there. The only reason we chose this house was to have a pool for the kids. We couldn't get the heat to work on the hot tub. That would've been nice for the adults. The kitchen isn't very well stocked. If we didn't have the issues with the pool and hot tub, we probably would've rented this house again this summer. We are trying another house with a pool and hot tub.
I rented this home for Memorial weekend so our family could all be together in one location. My husband and I, our two grown son's and their wives, and grandchildren one 3 years old and two 1 1/2 year olds stayed here. The home was spotlessly clean and ready for us. There were bedrooms for everyone although only one king bed, one queen, two full, and four twins. My husband and I took the room with two full size beds - had to sleep diagonally, one person to a bed as we are tall! The house was comfortable, back yard and pool beautiful. With little ones the pool right off the back deck was a challenge. There is a section of the back yard that is grassy and fenced in - no gate, that we planned on using for the kids but there has been so much rain it was pretty soggy. Becky, the manager, and the maintenance man were absolutely great to deal with. We had a couple of issues that were promptly and appropriately handled. The pool was spotless and we did find a couple occasions around the rains to enjoy the pool. My main issue was not enough cooking utensils in the kitchen - no mixing or serving bowls, not enough large pans, no measuring cups or spoons, one tiny cutting board, and a broken can opener. We cooked all but one meal there. The only supplies for eating/drinking were coffee, some bottled water, and a very large basket of apples (yum.) There was salt that someone had left behind but no pepper. I had to go raid my son's home and bring back many items and we still had to improvise because I didn't bring enough from their house! There were several last minute runs to a nearby Walgreens for essential supplies. Also had to go out and buy dish soap and cleaning sponge, more paper towels and TP. When expecting a large group they should beef up the kitchen, bath and laundry supplies and more trash bags! But we had a great time there, with the additions I suggested this would get a 5 star rating. The location is also great, minutes away from major highways, 10 minutes from downtown, not far from restaurants, and not too long a drive to Sea World, and backed up to a greenbelt, with trees, stream, and deer making a wonderful view.
Our group stayed at this house for a family get-together. Downstairs bedroom worked well for 88 yr old grandmother but she wasn't able to rest for the alarm bell ringing every time someone went in or out the door. There were some hazards such as the fireplace hearth that came around a corner and was the same tile as the floor so folks with impaired vision and even those with good vision had a hard time seeing it and therefore my mother tripped over it right away and fell. I felt the house was oddly designed and didn't flow well for a big group. The kitchen was small for the house and didn't have as much as we needed to prepare food for 8-10 people. Needs a new coffee maker as the one that is there takes about 45 minutes to brew a pot. So you are waiting for coffee for almost an hour after getting up.
With all that said, property manager was accommodating and personable. They were willing to work with us and we appreciated it. The pool is pretty and the woods behind create a nice atmosphere. This property would work well with two couples and 6-8 kids. Or a group of singles traveling together since 3 of the rooms have 2 twins or 2 double beds in them. Best thing was location and quiet neighborhood.
Our two families with college-age children stayed here in late December. The house is comfortable for a group of 8. The kitchen is well planned, but does not include a lot of cooking materials (mixing bowls, baking pans) if you are planning to do a lot of cooking. We had some issues with the hot tub, but Becky was quick to respond to any questions, and sent a maintenance worker over at one point to make sure things were going well. The wildlife visible from the back door were a daily highlight. While a 2-car garage is available, it did not fit our high-profile vehicle. Becky's recommendations for restaurants in the area were spot-on!
Visit the Texas Hill country, beginning in San Antonio barely at our doorstep. Dozens of wineries are tucked away in the rugged countryside, and this region is now the nation's second fastest growing. Go on your own, anytime, or buy tickets to any of the five annual wine trails.
