Enjoy everything the Hamptons has to offer without Montauk Highway traffic. The home is minutes away from ocean beaches, great restaurants, nightlife and a movie theater in the Hampton Bays area, and transportation, including the Hampton Jitney and LIRR, and taxi services (which are abundant in the area). An organic supermarket, Stop & Shop supermarket, and a gym offering daily memberships are a short drive down the road.
Nearby, you can take a winery tour, indulge in fine dining and shopping, visit a gallery, the Aquarium, many quaint towns with ice cream parlors, candy and bake shops, go outlet shopping, or have fun with the kids at a popular waterpark. But for an unforgettable experience for the kids, send them to Boat Camp, which offers local ecology education, and other fun activities including fishing, wake boarding, wake surfing, and Hot Dog rides. They also offer family boat tours, water skiing, sunset cruises and custom charters.
Originally from Howard Beach and now living in Massapequa and Seaford, we grew to love The Hamptons while our family vacationed with relatives in Shinnecock Shores during our early childhood until our family purchased land and built Tiana Ripples in 1972.
It is a spectacular gathering place and has been a welcoming home for family and friends through four generations. The years have been filled with memories of swimming, boating, water skiing, tubing, Jet Skiing, sailing, fishing, clamming, and gathering mussels. And then cooking, eating, drinking, dancing and playing Bocci and horseshoes on the lawn. And at night, enjoying the quiet campfires on the beach.
No age is too old or too young to enjoy all Tiana Ripples has to offer, whether its initiating & participating in activities or simply relaxing in a chair on the deck or in the screen room, taking in all the sights & sounds from the sunrise in the morning to the moon on the water and stars in the sky at night.
We had a great stay, the house is picturesque sitting on a calm bay. The pool is heated and has the view to the bay. We visited with our two small children and the house was very accomodating, the pool and beach access were secured with gates. The deck and sunroom were wondeful to have meals on. Karen and Candace were wonderful hosts they were very heplful before and during our stay.
